Gorgeous outfit too

MrsHerbs79 · 18/06/2025 10:12

NSV I got into a size 12 pair of jeans…….there from Next and stretchy but wasn’t a struggle…….i’ve been edging towards a 12 on top for a little while but still insist on buying 14’s to have a looser and my 14 bottoms have felt looser but I’ve not been in a 12 since my 20’s 🙌🙌🙌

Weepixie · 18/06/2025 11:43

Hi guys, and well done on the fabulous pictures and NSV.

I’d lost another 0.4kgs when I weighed in today and I’ve at last made an appointment for the end of July with the lady in a neighboring country who has most of my clothes made for me and I can’t wait. It’s a HOC consultant who has her own clothing range and whereas I do buy bits and pieces from shops - always Robell trousers for eg, everything else I wear comes via this lady. I choose from her huge range of fabrics that are available in my colours then we create the item from the basic range of styles by swapping sleeves lengths/ hem lengths/neckline shape for example then two weeks later they’re delivered to my door after her tailors have made the item. Sometimes I just even phone and say can I have couple of frocks and I don’t know what I’m getting till I receive them. It suits me down to the ground. There are very few shops where I live and going to Dubai to shop in the malls there makes me break out in a sweat. I hate it.

Then there’s the release of episode 2 of the series of interviews I’ve done with my PT about being on Mounjaro and I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact the articulate and very confident woman on screen is me. The old me who vanished under kilos of obesity somewhere along the lines has finally found herself again after 10 years of a very long and winding road.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2025 13:04

Well done @MrsHerbs79 on NSV

well done @Weepixieon loss and talking about mj to pt

plus interesting about having clothes made for you

Morning!

gosh it’s warm at the moment, I’m so glad I’m smaller. It was so hard in Greece last year nearly 5 stone heavier.

I was thinking about how my attitude to food has changed. Last night my youngest (9) made us burgers for dinner, homemade from scratch. He made them smash burgers so there was enough for two patties each and I just naturally had one, a small amount of homemade chips and a couple of onion rings. I still very much had a burger and chips, but modified for my allowances.

at lunch time I wanted a tuna and mayo sandwich, but I knew it was burgers at dinner, so I just had tuna and sweetcorn with a little mayo in a bowl! Yes, should have been a salad but I am not a big leaf fan. I’m trying hard to listen to what I want and then accommodate my calories.

I feel like this time I am very clear that maintenance will just mean eating the same as I am now and maybe adding in an extra 100 calories. I think typically when I’ve ended diets I’ve slowly reverted to old ways in a very slow manner. It’s just so easy to go slightly over maintenance and be gaining weight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/06/2025 15:04

The maintenance is hard. Im scared to eat 500c a day. That seems insane to me and will gain

m so kinda sticking on what I have done

also what do people eat for breakie ? I couldn’t decide /know what I wanted so ended up having 3 x slices of corn beef
so around 200c and a lot of protein 😂😂😂 but didn’t fancy eggs or cereal or toast or fruit

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 19/06/2025 15:20

We are so conditioned to eat cereal or toast! I eat whatever I like, including cold meat or cheese and fruit or whatever. I do find protein shakes easy. Or Greek yogurt, frozen fruit and a sprinkle of granola.

I do like eggs but often don’t have time or energy for such things!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/06/2025 17:37

Yes often have a protein shake but didnt fancy that either

I do an ommlette in air fryer usually. Put in and cook for 15 while I shower or watch tv

OP posts:
Weepixie · 19/06/2025 17:43

The only cereal I’ll eat is porridge made the Scottish way with water and salt then served with milk. But I’ve been like this with cereal since I was a wee girl though I may once in a blue moon have weetabix and banana. Oh and I’ll sometimes make a Birchers muesli from the original recipe because I really like that as well. Otherwise I’ll have sourdough or rye bread with 2 or 3 choices from homemade hummus, mutabel, cold meat, shakshouka, ordinary eggs, smoked salmon, avacado, tomato’s, Brie, cream cheese, and every few months I’ll just have toast and jam or lemon curd. I love my breakfast. It’s by far the meal I look forward to most.

And maintenance? The last time I checked the app it said I could have an extra 400 calories per day to eat, it will take me up to 1950. I’m going to look at them as my wiggle room calories and will eat the same way I’ve eaten these last 10 months and just decide on the day what I’m spending the calories on.

Katkins17 · 19/06/2025 17:44

Just over the largest ball of tape….but man the constipation has been bad this week….
taking magnesium citrate but contemplating prunes at the stage 🤢

20bloodypounds · 19/06/2025 23:19

Cereal wasn't a 'thing' for breakfast until Mr Kellog invented it and promoted it. In the rationing times, imported cereals and grains with added sugar seemed like a good idea (it's not).

I was on hoiday in Asia and they served American breakfast - pancakes, ham, cereals, squeezed juices, pastries. The local people ate vegetable soup or chicken soup or vegetable omelette. No prizes for guessing which nation was leaner!

@Blondeshavemorefun eat what is best for you for breakfast. I often have avocado and tomato; sometimes have soup. Corn beef sounds great.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/06/2025 03:01

@20bloodypounds soup for breakfast. Now that seems weird to me 😂😂

think what also spurred me on was it runs out of date today and was unopened so I felt I should eat it ha ha

maybe eggs later this morning

Hello, can I introduce myself?
I am 5ft 3.5 inches
SW 20st size 24
CW 15st size 18
I ve been losing very slowly recently, but started a new exercise regime and moved up to 15 mg dose this week, so hoping to get things going again, in more ways than one. Been suffering with constipation a lot recently
Typical day
Breakfast- porridge and honey plus fruit
Lunch-- fresh soup and bread
Dinner-normal family dinner
Snack-lentil crisps, milkshake made with skimmed milk, cocoa nd sweetener and added oat bran for the fibre hit. Or fruit and skimmed milk
Going to corfu in August so aiming to be 14st then

Weepixie · 20/06/2025 06:17

think what also spurred me on was it runs out of date today and was unopened so I felt I should eat it ha ha

When in the UK my shopping basket always has packets of sliced corned beef in it. I love it on a sandwich, or for a very quick meal after a day out I have it with store bought mashed potato and root veg mix and serve it up with beans as well.

And an Asian soup breakfast is nice, it’s not like a plate of scotch broth and your mind tells you that so it seems perfectly reasonable to be having soup for breakfast. I like the sour ones.

@pharmer - hi there. How are you?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/06/2025 07:39

Welcome @pharmer well done on 5s loss. That’s 70lbs so a proud owner of an elephants penis 🐘🐘🐘🐘 and a human head and 2 Guinea pig 🙀😂😂

@Weepixie

I love corn beef. Yes more calories than ham but tastier and a lot more protein

WWJ and maintaining. Whoop first drop to 10 today so this will be an interesting week if a lot hungrier skipping

if I am then surely if I eat the extra c allowed to maintain i shouid be ok ……

OP posts:
Weepixie · 20/06/2025 08:02

Blondie, you can only give it go.

in fact AzureSky posted a great explanation of how her PT worked out her TDEE and I’m going to give it a go in maintenance.

owlyboo · 20/06/2025 21:03

Welcome @pharmerthats a great loss! Well done!

well done on maintaining @Blondeshavemorefuni also maintained again today and my first week of 2.5 so very near the end of MJ now. I haven’t been tracking calories since I began maintaining a few months ago. And I’ve maintained since then. I think I just don’t each as much as I have been used to eating less. I would just give it a go with eating mindfully and see what happens.

I can definitely agree with those that have posted that they’re so happy to not be in their old bigger bodies in this weather. Chucking on a vest and short shorts today for my walk felt so nice. No worries of thigh chavage and could enjoy the sunshine and walk in what I needed to wear for the weather not what I felt I ‘had to’.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/06/2025 23:06

@owlyboo I’m too scared to not track c lol

you went to 15 didn’t you - did you find it easy to reduce and get hungrier ?

hoping I won’t get thigh chav in aug on holiday

always have for the last billion years even if I use chub rub esp if sweaty

OP posts:
owlyboo · 20/06/2025 23:11

Yep @Blondeshavemorefuni was similar to you and had to go
up every month (actually quicker as you stuck on one one month) and coming down was fine. Didn’t really feel any real
hunger pangs until 5mg and I came down quickly every 2 weeks so I stuck at 5 for about a month or so and it all evened out again and now I’ve done my first 2.5 week and it’s been fine.

its only a week so try your higher cals or even eating with thought but not tracking. If you put on go down. That’s the good thing about weekly weighing you can adjust and change!

I think you’ll be surprised how your eating habits/hunger may have naturally changed as you’ve consumed so differently for almost a year.

I picked up my size 8 dress today, very cheap from vinted linen / cotton type new look dress. It is not even close to fitting.

im hoping to get off another stone, so perhaps it’s my target dress?

I feel a bit flat, I’ve got so used to buying things and they just fit that this was a surprise!
