@poppym12 this is what the other poster said.

The exhaustion is due to interruption of dopamine pathway, Ive had severe exhaustion which has stopped me from doing tasks or leaving the house on weekends and days off and I recently found L tyrosine which converts to dopamine and its been a life saver for me. I'm back to being happy and energetic and getting tasks done that i procrastinated with for months!

Azuresky68 · 15/07/2025 09:49

Glad you are enjoying Chat GPT @Weepixieand others on the thread. Keep refining the original question to get the best answers. @Blondeshavemorefun I think you will love this too.

Is this a supplement or a prescription drug @Weepixie?

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2025 11:12

We are all here for you @NippyNinjaCrab. You need to be happy with your weight and body

I had my weight check call yesterday. I thought that must be a strange job - call after call asking people to stand by a door and step on the scales! Better than scam insurance calls though.

I very stupidly drank vodka yesterday. I've turned into a lightweight and I feel terrible this morning. And stupid. Even worse I've got a day out with family and I'm struggling to enjoy it. Lesson learned.

FurForksSake · 15/07/2025 11:45

I thought it was a bit of a weird job, too. But that I’d quite enjoy being nosey at people’s houses!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2025 13:16

How much did you drink?

I rarely fancy one now

but have one gin and enough for me

hope head feels better soon

Thank you @Weepixie, I really appreciate you searching out the information from another thread. I've ordered some so hopefully it will help. I just feel so flat. No enjoyment in anything. I got some of my art stuff out last week as drawing or painting usually makes me feel better. Nope. Just splashed paint around, made a mess and threw it away.

The dopamine connection is very interesting. A couple of people who know me well have asked in the past if I've ever talked to anyone about ADHD or ADD...... I've just laughed it off as I'm too old for labels. Maybe L-tyrosine could help me in more ways than one.

Weepixie · 15/07/2025 14:02

@poppym12 I’m glad to be of help, and I hope the supplement helps you.

There have been times over the last year that I know Mounjaro has affected my mental health. I’ve had days at a time when I’ve felt down and I put it down mostly to the fact I was tapering down the Seroxat I’ve been since my ovarian thing had been discovered. I’m now down to 10mg a day but when I was on 12.5 of Mounjaro for 3 weeks I spent it in tears and I felt very blue. I also felt unwell physically but those 3 weeks were proof to me that my previous bouts of feeling down on Mounjaro were because of it and not me tapering off my seroxat.

My mental health can be precarious at times due to life experience over the years, my beloved mum had a diagnosis of Bi Polar disorder (perhaps even schizoaffective disorder) and its known that those who have a parent with this condition can be more at risk of precarious mental health. Anyway, I’m staying on 10mg daily of my seroxat just in case life throws anything else at me as it will give me a really good chance of staying well and coping.

Re ADHD - as someone who has ADHD children and grandchildren, and based on my life experience of autism and its co-morbid I would say a person is never too old to for a label - it might just make all the difference to so much about yourself falling into place for you.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2025 15:39

Just saw my old biddy who lives up the road for me and every time I see her, she’s always telling me I’m turning into a slinky Minky today she said there’s nothing of me.

i said yeah yeah very funny, but I did see a picture of me in reflection of her window and I thought actually I do look quite slim

. I still think myself has a really fat person but sometimes I do look okay so I’ve just got home taking a picture and let me know what you think.

Weepixie · 15/07/2025 16:01

Blondie you look fabulous!

I saw your post when I came in to post about a NSV I had - my PT gave me one of the gyms new T-shirts and when he handed it to me I said don’t be ridiculous it’s way to small. He said no it’s not and I said, give me a bigger one pls. He said, not until you try that one on and look in the mirror because you just don’t get how much weight you’ve lost. So I tried it on and looked in the mirror and I saw what he meant. The tshirt was a woman’s medium and in the past I’ve not taken a tshirt from him because I knew I’d need a man’s 2xl - I know because I’d tried one belonging to my son.

Its quite shocking when we finally get ‘it’.

Lovely NSVs ladies! You look great blonde! Such a neat waist.

i don’t feel slim at all, I don’t know if I ever will. It definitely takes time for brain to catch up.

I’ve bought some omega 3 capsules, I’m interested in the dopamine capsules, might add that next!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2025 16:25

Yes I have a waist and finally hips slimming down a bit

Wow to think it has been nearly a year. My anniversary is coming up in 3 weeks. Thank you to the regulars for keeping this thread alive.
We must be one of the most active monthly's.
I am still in the obese range by about a stone and on 12.5mg. On the verge of going up half a dose.
Would have liked to have gone into my 2nd year as overweight but hey ho.
Due to the paper towel effect, from experience hopefully from now will be the time when I notice my body shape & clothes size really start to change.
Anyone else found that they spend more on skincare now? I never really had a routine but have got into one the last 6 weeks.
I would like to be at goal or very close to by next Spring. I don't really want this to have taken longer than 18 months but I guess it takes as long as it takes!

Azuresky68 · 15/07/2025 16:52

@Blondeshavemorefun looking fabulous. You have a lovely figure Blondes..curves in all the right places. I tried on a tiny t shirt dress that my daughter left at my house ages ago..will post a photo soon.

Thank you @Weepixie, I'll bare in mind what you say about ADHD and thanks again for the supplement information.

I've taken fluoxetine for 25 years now (PND and a serious accident). I just accept that they're part of my routine to start the day now along with my other medications. Getting older isn't much fun at times!

lookathatbookcase · 15/07/2025 17:57

@NippyNinjaCrab I used it for compiling a letter. Xx

Was yours for the King as well?

And don’t worry about what you have called a downer. None of us are one of the Waltons and we’re allowed them.

Edited

Haha no, did you write to the King to tell him to ban H and M? 😆
