Lost a 1lb! The heat and not fancying food and the mj meant I haven’t eaten hugely over the weekend.

I can’t wait for my hip to be fixed so I can get back to exercise. I’ll definitely be working on body decomposition and going for muscle building. Having a decent level of body fat means I will be able to see any muscles I grow, for the first time ever.

I’ve got a decision to make, I’ve slimmed out of my size 12s. Do I hold on to them or sell? I was happy to get rid of the 16s as I really have non intention of getting back there. But with the 12s, if I come off Mj at some point and regain I’d be happy at a 12. But then I don’t want that to be my target.

my target weight is going to be somewhere between 8 and 8st7 with a ceiling of 9st.

oh and i still have a tummy overhang. I did have a c-section and have been overweight all my life, but I was so hopeful losing weight it would be almost gone. I’m guessing only surgery would sort it now.

Are you a 10 now ?

I would keep the 12

@BlondeshavemorefunI’m between an 8 and a 10. Some of my 10s are too big but still wearable for now.

im erring towards keeping them, if I come across any 14s I’ll let them go.

i have some size 16 cycling shorts which i still wear, they aren’t tight cycling shorts now, but very wearable as the waist band is ok.

I'm still here but I'm not very good at posting. I do read though as I love to see how everyone is getting on.

My BMI is currently 25.9 so I've still got some to lose my, maybe a stone or more. I'm finding it very difficult at the moment though. I'm on 15mg and weight loss is painfully slow (if at all) and I'm kinda bored with it now. I do feel hungry but often I can't think of anything I fancy eating. It just seems like a chore tbh and I'm tired. Very very tired.

I hoped I'd be excited about the smaller clothes and shopping by now but I just feel a bit 'meh' with everything.

FurForksSake · 14/07/2025 13:14

Would sharing some of our meals be helpful? I found the lazy arse dinner thread recently was helpful to think about food. I also had a look at mob but it wasn’t very family friendly.

I think approaching the year point I’m feeling a bit meh too. I didn’t imagine I’d still be on it at this point and staying on it for the longer term.

sorry it feels a bit of a grind. Are you taking any supplements? I take quite a few and don’t find I’m suffering terribly with tiredness. Don’t know how much difference they make. I take a b-complex and magnesium and the magnesium 3 in 1 has definitely improved my sleep and restless legs.

Slimhopes · 14/07/2025 13:27

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been absent for ages. Just back from holiday on Saturday and catching up with house and washings🤪 haven’t caught up entirely with the thread as there’s been loads. Still on 15mg with no issues. Was worried about weight re holiday as my calories have been around 830 every day and obviously more on holiday as half board but didn’t go crazy. Was 8st 8lbs when I went 2 weeks ago and I’m 8:9 today, lost a pound over the weekend so feel good about that after my anxiety pre holiday. I did weigh myself on the hotels luggage scales a few times 🙈🙈 just to monitor a bit and manage my anxiety although DH thought I was losing the plot by doing that but I had no shame😅 was amazing wearing nice summer clothes for once so really enjoyed that. Hope you’re all well.

NippyNinjaCrab · 14/07/2025 14:26

I do have physical issues hence the pilates and she modified some things for me which was great. My right hip is at the stage it needs replaced now (i am in denial) i am struggling to get up stairs and even a kerb, walking a slight incline too. I've got this dread i will start to gain weight but today I feel i want to get shite food when I go shopping shortly. I've jabbed 1.25 and will do that next week and then move back up to 2.5.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2025 11:30

Same
last time I lost 4s

thrb gained 4s plus 2

this time I’ve lost 6.5s tho wantedto lose 6

what happens if I gain 6.5 and 2more

That be 8.5 i have to lose

seems mammoth

This is why the thread is so important to keep going. It doesn't matter if people only drop in now and again either...it's always lovely to hear from people 😊 I am mainly a lady of leisure so have plenty of free time but I still remember how hard it is holding down a full time job and commuting daily with 2 young children in childcare/school then the teenage years and divorce 😱

I do take supplements - b complex, hyaluronic acid, cod liver oil, a collagen thing and psyllium husk.

I've been (or rather had been) vegetarian for over 35 years but added in the cod liver oil and collagen when I started mounjaro.

Some quick and easy meals ideas would be great @FurForksSakeas I'm just out of ideas. I calorie count everything and try not to go above 1200 (less on the couple of days post jab and more at the end of the week). I don't really want to go below 1200 even though I'd like to lose that last stone. Exercise is very limited as I have ME so some days, getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom or kitchen is about as active as I get.

FurForksSake · 14/07/2025 16:07

A good one for lunch, extra firm tofu glazed in sesame, soy, garlic and a little honey served with edamame and microwave sticky rice. I would usually do it with salmon, but tofu works just as well.

I am a big fan of cous cous salads, chickpeas, roasted vegetables and feta stirred through and a little dressing and it keeps well in the fridge.

I also love shakshuka https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/shakshuka and you can tweak it.

I also find yoghurt bowls a great lunch, Greek yoghurt, whatever frozen fruit I’ve got left out for five minutes, sprinkle of crunchy bran / granola / seeds and it’s super filling.

Five bean chilli is another good one that you can batch and heat up.

I also like a lunchtime snack plate, loads of fruit and veg, some hummus or salsa, cottage cheese and light baby bells and ryita thins for crunch.

Shakshuka in a pan

Shakshuka

Make our easy shakshuka for a comforting brunch. Vary this dish by flavouring the simple tomato sauce with whatever you have to hand - curry powder, pesto or fresh herbs

poppym12 · 14/07/2025 18:50

Thank you @FurForksSake. I like the sound of the salad but I can't stand tofu (I've tried every type and brand there is!) so I could use an alternative protein. I don't like eggs either -i sound like such a picky eater! Maybe I am 🤔

FurForksSake · 14/07/2025 18:56

I had a plate of sweet potato fries for dinner, I’m having a very bad pain day so it was all I was capable of. No protein to be seen! If I can be bothered I’ll have a protein shake in a bit.

PoemsForTea · 14/07/2025 20:36

I love talking about food 😆 I'm currently 50% courgette as my garden is producing rather well!!
I've had a lazy food day today - I made some Butter Bean hummus on Saturday so was eating that at 8 this morning with some cracker things then had a courgette & halloumi fritter this afternoon with black beans, beetroot feta and sweet chilli sauce 😆 Very random but very much enjoyed 😆

Azuresky68 · 14/07/2025 20:50

For anyone stuck in what to eat ask chat GPT. I told it the food I liked, also spicy flavours the calories, low carb, high protein and the fact I wanted recipes for one person to cook in my air fryer. It gave me 7 days of evening meals as I had already sorted breakfast and lunch. The recipes were really good - tasty and easy. Now addicted to a Korean flavouring I had never heard of. It even told me where to get it and the price in different supermarkets. Then I asked for more recipes..massaman prawn curry, different poke bowls and more. Love Chat GPT!

I have downloaded the ChatGPT app and use that. It’s so useful for all sorts of things.

Yes I love it!

poppym12 · 14/07/2025 21:59

I'll have a look at Chatgpt for ideas too, thanks @Azuresky68.

Weepixie · 15/07/2025 06:07

I’m a techie dinosaur but Ive just sat here for an hour playing around with ChatGPT and it’s been great fun.

First of all I asked for a one day meal plan and all I got was a load of food items to put on plates. Then I changed my search and that produced better results but it was only a few searches later, once I’d got the hang of what to ask if to do, that I got a menu plan with recipes and not just a list of food. It was what we’d have to eat anyway but I think with a bit more tweaking I could get some new ideas in a hurry and I’ll give it a go sometime.

Then I had it suggest 3 capsule wardrobes for me based built around a few variables and that was helpful even though capsule wardrobes don’t really work here due to the extreme temps at times - we can change 2 or even 3 times a day in the summer. But they’ve given me good ideas for when I start replacing my wardrobe at the end of the month - I know what I’ll get from my Dubai lady on my visit, she’ll also guide me, and I know the basics of what I need from other sources.

Im also going to get the app to compose a short letter to the King. Yep you read that correctly 🤣. I have something I want to say to him regarding the recent meeting by the staff from the Palace/Montecito and hopeless at grammar so the app can do it for me.

I think I might be on my backside all day seeing what else I can get the app to do.

Weepixie · 15/07/2025 06:17

@poppym12 i think our experience of Mounjaro has been very similar and I can remember a poster on another thread (they have a medical background) telling me why some people get so tired on Mounjaro and how to counteract it. I’m going to look for the thread and copy the post to here so you can see what she recommends, it’s something she takes and recommends.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/07/2025 07:48

It made me very tired the first few months if I remember correctly

Morning, i forgot to add i am 24.7 BMI but its not something I pay attention too after my GP said it wasn't accurate for various reasons.
I've decided I am going to continue micro dosing, losing another few pounds and toning however I can. We don't keep secrets but I am choosing to not discuss my weigh ins etc with DH. I am going to work on my muscle groups at home as well as pilates.
Sorry for the downer yesterday re appearance, it's trivial in the grand scheme of things.

I like chatGPT, I hadn't heard of it until my friend told me about it a few months ago, she uses it a lot. I hadn't thought to use it for recipes, meal planning and clothes too, I suppose its not exhaustive what you can use it for. I used it for compiling a letter. Xx

Weepixie · 15/07/2025 08:54

@NippyNinjaCrab I used it for compiling a letter. Xx

Was yours for the King as well?

And don’t worry about what you have called a downer. None of us are one of the Waltons and we’re allowed them.

lookathatbookcase · 15/07/2025 08:57

@poppym12 Both first and second time round on MJ, I was completely exhausted for the first 3 weeks for the 48 hours after injecting, and then it lifted; can't remember if the tiredness came back when I moved up the doses, but I only ever went from 2.5 to 3.75.
