I've just looked up the average wait measurement of women of my age. It is just under 36 inches. I'm now 41.5 inches. My waist is nipped in compared to my hips - so often I have to cinch the waist of jeans to be able to accommodate my thighs and hips in the legs.
I can't find my note of my starting waist measurement. I think I was 46 or 44 - so 2.5+ inches reduced, 1/2 inch an month. So just another 7.5 inches down to 34 inch waist or 9.5 inches to the mythic 32 inches.
We were talking about BMI a few days ago. Maybe waist to height ratio is a better measure?
The NHS has a calculator on the waist height ratio that sets the result on a risk chart. I'm still in the red zone. 33 inches (half my height) gets me just into no increased risk. ww.nhs.uk/health-assessment-tools/calculate-your-waist-to-height-ratio/
Monthly check in: 1.2lbs off this week making 7.4lbs for Month 5.
M1 8.9lbs
M2 9.9lbs
M3: 6.2lbs
M4: 5.2lbs
M5: 7.4lbs
I started at 309.8lbs 22 st 1.8lbs. I can't remember how much I weighed at my highest in the past - certainly over 320lbs. I think I look fatter now as I'm lame from arthritis.
I'm down 37.6lbs - 2st 9.6lbs to 19 st 6.2lb. In Months 3 & 4, I had three weeks going up, and one STS - so despite an average weekly loss 1.9lbs and a consistent diet, it's not been a smooth line. I'm glad I ticked down each week this month.
29 more weeks this year. I'd be thrilled if I can sustain half a stone or so a month - as I could get to 16 stone by the end of the year - size 18/20 maybe.
