That's just given me inspiration for my next mini target. Reserve me a place in the 3 3 club ladies, I'll be there shortly, just another 7lb to go 🥰

Onenotsosmallstep · 25/06/2025 23:01

Go 3st 3ers! And soon to be 3st 3ers. Realised I made a subconscious typo in my post though- now 21st 6 not the 24st 9 I started at 😊

Has anyone who’s further along experienced loose skin? And has it had any impact on your life. I couldn’t care less about what my stomach looks like after stretch marks, c-section and 5 surgeries but I would be a bit self conscious if my arms had obvious loose skin. I’ve never, ever had my arms out so that’s one thing I really can’t wait to do once I feel confident enough. I’m short so have short limbs and my arms have always been really big. Will loose skin be inevitable after such a big loss? (half my body weight!).

I hope you don't mind me replying to this, since I'm not usually on this thread - but I have lost over 12 stone and been maintaining at my goal for several months now. Initially i felt that I had loads of loose skin on my arms and it really bothered me. I don't know if it's got much better, since I am so early on in my maintenance journey, but I've definitely got less worried about it. I've just come back from a 10km run where I wore a bra top (in public!) and shorts and I didn't care about any of my loose skin.

By the time you get to the loose skin stage of your weightloss journey you should be so proud of yourself for doing it. It's hard. In a way you've earned your loose skin and if other people want to make negative comments let them - it says more about them than you.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/06/2025 23:39

I don't really care about having loose skin these days.
It's better than having endless bulges and rolls of fat everywhere.
🤣

@TragicMuse would I be able to track just protein on the nutra check app? Trying to find something else to use before I move away from Voy who have a good AI food tracker. I don’t want at the moment to calorie count but am tracking protein and water intake carefully.

Ooh I don’t know! I’ll have a look into that

WafflingDreamer · 26/06/2025 06:06

Weigh in number 38
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.7)
CW 16st 4lb (BMI 33.7)
GW 11st 9lb (BMI 24.1)
1lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 3, 1, 1
Total loss 75lbs / 5st 5lb
Think I need to drop my calories a bit more to get back to 2lb a week losses. Its going to take me forever to lose another 5st at 1lb a week!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 26/06/2025 06:39

I can’t keep up with this thread, it moves so quickly! I’ve just read as much as I can, well done to all the losers. I also worry about my flabby bingo wings but if that’s the price I have to pay to be slim, fit and healthy then I’ll take it!

It’s weigh and jab day for me today and I’ve hit a big milestone - I’ve lost 3lbs which takes me to exactly 100lbs lost! So chuffed with that, I could never have done it without MJ.

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 07:08

Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 111.0kg BMI 43.3
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

I'm not recording weight this week. I was slightly down on the scales but we are on holiday this week so no idea what the real me is like. We havent gone away but are eating different food as we have more time to prepare and cook.

My week is being split between allotment and sewing room. NSV - I have been able to spend hours on the allotment most days, walking around, bending and harvesting without needing long rests.

12 stone and maintaining! This was so lovely to read first thing this morning, you’ve brightened my day 😊

Iwouldratherbesinging · 26/06/2025 07:21

So many good news stories this morning!
100lbs off @MummyInTheNecropolis, that’s huge, I imagine you are over the moon with that!

@WafflingDreamer your stats are always pleasing on the eye 😂 I’m sure there’s a pattern in there somewhere and you are due another 3!

@GnomeDePlume we go on holiday tomorrow, I’m going to weigh in the morning then I won’t have access to scales for almost 2 weeks, it’s making me quite anxious! Looks like your allotment is getting plenty of love. Hopefully I won’t do too much damage, we love walking the south west coastal paths, I used to find them hard work in places so hoping for a better experience this year!

I’m determined this year to ‘climb’ Brown Willy on Bodmin moor, it’s not exactly a mountain 😆 just the highest point in Cornwall, I haven’t ever been able to do it - wish me luck!

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 07:40

@Iwouldratherbesinging your holiday sounds lovely, I hope you have a great time.

I have just booked next year's holiday (we go away every other year). Last year wasnt miserable but I know I held DH back. I wasnt comfortable doing a lot of walking around. By this time next year, if I average out at around 1 lb per week I will be about another 4 stone down. Eight stone lighter than when we holidayed last year.

That feels both delusional and achievable.

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 07:42

@MummyInTheNecropolis 100 lbs down, that's amazing. Well done!

eibbed999 · 26/06/2025 07:51

@Fffreeeeezing @Onenotsosmallstep - I started on March 21, and am now on 3 stone 4lb, so I'm not sure we can be in the same club any more 😂

TragicMuse · 26/06/2025 08:44

I’m taking my scales with me on holiday! But we’re going to my mum’s so it’s not going to be a problem to do that. I just need the check on myself and they don’t take up any space in the car!

I have a question.

How would I do OMAD when I have medication I have to take in the morning and evening with food? I don’t want to eat early and then have nothing all day! And how do you balance your macros on OMAD?

I’ve slowed down a lot, 18 weeks and still not at 3 stone yet, I want to give myself a little jumpstart and get over that hurdle!

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Potato1234 · 26/06/2025 08:51

@TragicMuse with meds as long as you eat something with it that’s the key, doesn’t have to be a meal, but a small healthy snack. That’s more important than strictly sticking to OMAD/23-hour fasting. Piece of fruit?

Im over the moon this morning, I’m officially UNDER 100kg :)

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 09:03

I wouldn't do fruit with medication as it can cause digestive problems, which is what they are trying to avoid by taking the medication with food.

How about a cracker or similar?

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 09:06

@Potato1234 under 100kg that's a great threshold to cross. Well done.

Really? That’s what my GP told me to do 🙈 a banana!

Lds1 · 26/06/2025 09:16

Was debating whether to post with the recent shenanigans but I think normal service has resumed!

This week I've lost 1.3kg / 2 lb and 13.86 oz. I am glad to be back on track. I'm almost 2/3s of the way to target (64%) and I'm almost 3/4 of the way to healthy (73%)

SW: 142.8kg / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.12 oz
CW: 90kg / 14 stone, 2 lb and 6.66 oz
Total loss: 52.8kg / 8 stone, 4 lb and 6.47 oz
BMI: 50.8 now 32.0

19.9kg / 3 stone, 1 lb and 13.95 oz to go to reach top of healthy

30kg / 4 stone, 10 lb and 2.22 oz to go to reach my mid healthy BMI, but this was just picked from thin air having never been close to a healthy BMI.

WafflingDreamer · 26/06/2025 10:38

Two NSVs
I went to a meeting at school and half way through I realised I sat next to a stranger and wasn't worried about imposing on his space.

My kids do an athletics club before school on a Thursday. I managed to jog on and off for 5 minutes while they scooted. At one point I managed to overtake them which caused them much entertainment!!

Another 23lbs down and I'll be 14st 9lb which should have me at a BMI exactly 30 which is my plan to start c25k as I worry that I'll hurt my knees jogging properly while carrying too much weight.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 26/06/2025 11:02

Lots of very positive posts today!
Well done, everyone.

I've lost another pound, so I'm now 12st 8lb.

That's a loss of 7st 8lb since January 2024.

Another 1.3kg down this week which brings me to 125.7kg, and thrillingly a BMI of under 45! One more weigh-in tomorrow (I do daily but record weekly) and then I'm off on holiday for a fortnight. No scales and pretty much unlimited available food 😬Just hope I don't put absolutely all the weight I've lost (5.3kg on MJ and 9.1kg in total) back on again!

Weightlossprincess · 26/06/2025 11:28

Some absolutely amazing achievements on here since I last logged on!!! Wow. Congratulations ladies xx

I've not been posting much as I was feeling like not much was happening for me but took my first 5mg dose today, so hope thibgs move a bit quicker now.
Start weight 21 stone and 2.8 pounds
Current weight ( end of week 7) 20 stone 3.6 pounds.
Good luck this week guys x

I just have a teaspoon of yoghurt, as for macros I'm not precious about them to be honest. I just concentrate on trying to get a reasonable amount of calories down. People would be horrified to see my food diaries!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 26/06/2025 11:34

So you've nearly lost a stone @Weightlossprincess

Well done!

And @FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping is doing really well, too.
