Just sneaking in on my lunchbreak, and I'm delighted to see peace has been restored. You guys are amazing, I'm loving reading your updates

Im struggling a bit today, food noise is creeping in, so I think it might be time to move up to 7.5 for my next pen.

I feel normal now. It seems mad that I should have to lose another 2st 8lb to satisfy the BMI calculator.

Mind you, I've just taken this photo of myself, so maybe I'm over optimistic.
🤣🤣🤣

You look fantastic!! Very normal! In a good way 😀 Cannot wait to feel that too

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/06/2025 13:43

So close @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne, hurrah! Will you still hang out here when you make it??

Of course! It's quite a few months away still. I'm losing about 1lb a week now, so yes, it'll be a good while yet.

Regarding sleeplessness.

I've started taking Ashwagandha. It's really working for me.

I think once you are on the steady treadmill of weight loss it can be quite marginal. A week of just eating a little bit less than normal and weightloss can be greater but a week of eating just a small amount more can result in no loss at all.

Potato1234 · 25/06/2025 14:42

@eibbed999 congratulations that’s such an achievement! I’m hoping to achieve that goal myself in the coming weeks, need to reach 15stone 8lbs!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne you look great! I need to be 9 stone 10lbs to get to a BMI of 25! I remember being your current weight years ago and felt so normal and healthy (size 10-12) yet was obese. Stupid BMI.

Amazing @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !

I do wonder a bit at the whole BMI thing. A 'healthy' weight is only an average.

My target is to get to a point where my weight just doesn't come up in a medical setting.

Yes, we seem to be back to normal.
🤣🤣

How long have you been on the 5mg?

Wouldn’t that be amazing. Just no anxiety when sat in the drs office waiting for it to be brought it

Yes, indeed.

How lovely not to have to hear "well, you've got X wrong with you because you're so overweight".

Actually, TBF I pretty much got that in reverse from my doctor yesterday.

He said "you're doing exactly the right thing to improve X because you've lost so much weight".

And no, he doesn't know about the MJ.
He's very nice, but firmly believes that people just need to eat less etc etc etc (I don't need to finish that sentence........)

@Southwest12 I agree that bmi is bollocks, I think we all do… I think my goal is to get to 11 - 11 1/2 stone which puts me firmly in the overweight category at about a bmi of 28. So sorry for the loss of your friend 😞
I wonder if it’s clothing sizes that are messing with my brain as I’m just fitting into size 20, I want to be eventually fitting into a 12, but if going by my goal of 11 - 11.5 stone that’s only 2 stone away, I don’t think I’m going to drop 4 dress sizes in 2 stone!

Clothing sizes are bonkers. Yesterday I got tshirts from Next in a 14, trousers from Hobbs in 16 (and they are a touch on the larger size) and a dress from Primark in a 20!

One of my naturally slim friends says she buys anything from an 8 to a 12 depending on the shop.

WafflingDreamer · 25/06/2025 16:19

Its crazy a friend from work is what I would class as very slim and healthy has run the London marathon and stuff and she told me she has a BMI of 26.

i genuinely have no idea where I want to be, I'm about 5ft 10 so a BMI 24.1 is 11st 9lb which would be exactly 10st down. I have no idea how that would look on my body though as I probably haven't been that weight since I was 12!! I'm almost at the weight I was at my booking appointment for my first child at the end of 2013 as I remember the midwife telling me I could only be midwife led if I kept my BMI under 35 throughout the pregnancy and it was 33.4, its currently 33.8.

I see a thread but it does not have my user on it

For everyone, it is really unfortunate that you thread is being derailed in such a negative way. I’d recommend that no one engages further - responding only fuels the disruption. If the behavior continues, a better approach might be to report it to MN so it can be handled and your thread can stay the supportive, positive space it has always been 💗

@lilacbreeze it might be worth taking a moment to reflect on what’s going on in your life that this kind of interaction feels fulfilling. Whatever it is, it’s likely to catch up with you in the long run, and I genuinely hope you find a healthier outlet soon.

I agree that not engaging is the way forward. Thank you so much for finding this.

WOOOOWWW!!! You look fabulous!
Is that a thigh gap I see 😉😉😉

How do you feel physically and mentally now? And in comparison to your starting weight?

I'm at the stage that I am looking towards the end and trying to focus on how I will feel. The carrot rather than the stick approach.

I feel healthy and positive.

I'm still going swimming once a week. I'd go more often but it's 15 miles away.

I didn't realise how difficult walking had become, until I started to lose weight. And now that I've shed 7st 8lb I can understand why.

I think my clothes look much better now.

mamabeeboo · 25/06/2025 19:42

Hi all checking in for today.

I did OMAD for the last 2 days and finally got the scales to shift. Amen.

Anyway back to eating 2 meals a day now. It was just the motivation and drive I needed to see the scales shift.

Question about when you guys jab and why. I usually jab on Thursdays. Initially this was to keep me on the straight and narrow on the weekends but for the last few weeks, I've been quite social on the weekends. Meaning I've basically been eating despite my satiety because I'm out and I don't want to look like the fool ordering only a side.

Now the weather is getting better and there will be birthdays, bbqs etc I'm considering shifting the jab day to Sunday evening, so I start of the week with a bang and have a good clean week and then be a bit social on the weekends.

I'm on 10mg and have been for a while that I get decent satiety for pretty much the full week, even day 6 and 7.

TragicMuse · 25/06/2025 20:27

It’s my WI and jab day.

Week 18, 7.5mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 8lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 16st 5lbs
Loss this week 1lb
Total loss 41lbs

Interim GW (set by Nutracheck!) 15st 8lbs

I was a pound lighter on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday FFS!

I think I hit a capillary when I jabbed as it bled quite hard - for the first time ever. Not painful, just a bit leaky!!

@mamabeeboo I started my jabs on a Saturday then I had quite bad nausea all Sunday and into Monday so I pulled it to Friday instead.

Then I was going to be away and didn’t want to take my pen with me so I pulled it back 2 days doing it a day earlier each week for 2 weeks.

So now my jab is a Wednesday! I tracked the time gap between jab and nausea and do it in the evening to try and get over any nausea while I’m asleep.

it means I get satiety over the weekend but don’t feel too sick to eat anything. The effects last well, it’s still preventing craving and falling in to office doughnuts up to next jab at the moment!

Doggymummar · 25/06/2025 21:51

Jab and weigh today. I always forget the weigh so we will say stayed the same. I have my verification call with oushk in the next day or so and I guess they don't want me naked on the scales so I will weigh a bit more. Boo

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 25/06/2025 22:13

@TragicMuse would I be able to track just protein on the nutra check app? Trying to find something else to use before I move away from Voy who have a good AI food tracker. I don’t want at the moment to calorie count but am tracking protein and water intake carefully.

lilacbreeze · 25/06/2025 22:13

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 06/06/2025 15:06

I’m going out for dinner tonight with friends who don’t know I’m jabbing. Not especially looking forward to it as I am at peak no hunger now the day after an injection! It’s been planned for months though and I want to see them!

I am planning to take a Tupperware box for occasions like this and just say I had a big meal already/ I’m not hungry. If they are proper friends they won’t mind. I however have told people I know and all were great about it

Fffreeeeezing · 25/06/2025 11:09

Just had the first person notice the loss! I told her she was the first person to notice and she said they must be blind as it was obvious. Considering it's only a 3stone3 loss (I mean only because I'm still over 22st so have a fair distance to go!) we'll call that today's NSV

@eibbed999congrats on getting below 40, I am so envious 🤣. Albeit we started at different weights, we have lost exactly the same in the same time frame!

Very well done! Can I join the 3st 3 club (well 3st 2.75lbs technically)? Think I also started the same week- 23rd March?. Still got a BMI just over 45 though at 24st 6.5.

I’m at a weird people noticing but not directly saying stage- ‘you look well’ or ‘what a lovely dress’. Seeing my brother who’s generally oblivious for the first time in about 3 months tomorrow, so will be interested in his reaction if any

Of course you can join the club - all 3 3ers welcome!

I started the week before as hopefully I will be leaving the club this week and moving up to the 3st 6ers 🤣
