NSV of the week: I can now park the car in a normal parking space. No more strategic parking where I am looking to maximise the amount of driver side space.

It is the little things isn't it?

Just thinking of the number of times I have compromised my life for fear of not fitting. No one would say 'you are too fat, you won't fit'. They didn't need to, I was doing that for myself.

TheZingyFish · 16/06/2025 09:39

Week 10 lost 5lbs
SW 24st 9lbs
CW 22st 7lbs
Total lost 2st 2lbs

Feeling good, this is my second week on 5mg and this is really working well. I just feel confident in the process and myself. I don’t expect to lose this amount every week but love the overall downward trend.

As someone who has always struggled with her weight, Covid was hell in that I had to experience online meetings for the first time and seeing myself on screen constantly, I hated it. Logging on this morning for the first time I actually thought I don’t look too bad. I probably don’t look that much different after losing 2st but I feel I like myself more even though I’ve plenty more to lose. I seem to have more of an acceptance of myself which feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders that isn’t measured on the scales.

These threads are flying by -

I started early Nov 2024 at 24 and a half stone - hit 5 stone lost this week on 7.5mg.
Gone from a BMI in the mid 50s to heading towards low 40s, size 28/30 to a size 22/24 (pushing a 20).

NSV I've been hoping for, for ages:

My jeans come off my lower legs quite easily all of a sudden, instead of having to be peeled off with difficulty.

So my legs must be getting slimmer at last.

Marvellous starts to the week!

Just weighed in, I’m 170kg so 3 down on my last weigh in a month ago. Under 27 stone for the first time in several years.
This evening is my second injection. I’ve noticed my appetite coming back a bit over the weekend but still nothing like it was. Also noticed I wasn’t even fancying my wine as much!

The NSVs are fantastic! Well done group!

I'm coming up to 4 stone loss and only down 1 dress size...so I must be losing the weight from my head 😂

Lol I didn't lose any dress sizes till about then either and now it's really quick. I love the toilet roll analogy I've seen on here a few times.

Lds1 · 16/06/2025 16:44

I've been away for over a week so just caught up on the posts.

I'll weigh tomorrow see how I've done. I didn't eat excessively but not sure if what I did eat was in calories, it's hard to tell when the information isn't readily available.

I wore some outfits I wouldn't have worn this time last year, I'd share but I've sent the photos to friends!

What's the toilet roll analogy?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 16/06/2025 18:12

Loving all these victories ☺️. I've had one today when I realised my "extra large" blood pressure cuff is actually quite big and measured and realised I could easily use the one that came with it. (Admittedly that's M-L and I would be large... but it felt good!)

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 16/06/2025 18:18

@mamabeeboo A bit like this image - when you take a few bits of the roll each day you don't really notice early on (and the difference between very obese and morbid obese in my case doesn't really register when people just see "very large person).

But both - taking a few pieces each day really adds up AND as it gets slimmer then it's more noticible when you take them off. Losing a couple of stone when you're say 22 stone is not going to be as visible or dramatic as losing a couple of stone at 12 stone BUT it's all making progress.

I like it as I feel I'm paving the way for future losses. I've lost 4 stone (yay!) and still literally in the same clothes albeit they do fit better and I could go a size down. But most are size 26 and stretchy...

I'm hoping the next 4 stone from 18-14 will be even more visible.

And I'm not expecting to get to 10stone but the last 3 stone 14-1 will be more dramatic than the 4stone I've lost already!

Thank you for explaining and from experience, yes it will

TragicMuse · 16/06/2025 19:41

I’m a couple of pounds away from 3 stone, which should hopefully happen at next week’s WI.

my NSV of the last couple of weeks is not having to squeeeeeeeeze into the loo cubicles at work. Which is very cheering!

PearlsPearl · 16/06/2025 19:41

Loving the NSVs so much! And the toilet roll analogy, thanks.

To all of you who were so nice to me yesterday after my misery on a 2lb gain, I took the advice and weighed again today and had somehow lost 5lb?!! Bodies are BAFFLING to me. Anyway that takes me 1 stone 1lb down in 3 weeks which is crazy.

TragicMuse · 16/06/2025 19:57

Excellent work @PearlsPearl that’s more cheering isn’t it!!

GnomeDePlume · 16/06/2025 21:06

Dinner tonight of airfryer salmon with allotment potatoes and tenderstem broccoli. It was that healthy-looking it looked like a serving suggestion!

Previously I have looked at pictures of meals and thought 'where's the pasta/rice/potatoes? That will never be enough!'

A whole vista of meals is opening up. One where I am not wondering how to discretely bulk up it up to make it satisfying.

UsernameShmusername2024 · 16/06/2025 21:12

That made me laugh!!

Bulldogsummer · 17/06/2025 10:17

Weighed in this morning
3 pounds of a 7 stone loss.
None of my clothes fit ,I'm starting to look ridiculous
Have ordered lots of new ones ,but feel stuck between sizes a bit ,or maybe I'm being to critical

PearlsPearl · 17/06/2025 10:48

That’s an amazing loss. Get on vinted?

Bulldogsummer · 17/06/2025 10:55

I'm so fussy ,with material, length, not showing my arms ,not clinging, not to big .
I've ordered so much ,and kept nothing.it all gets sent back
I will keep something eventually,I will have to
So I'm still wearing sizes that fall down on me .
I don't think vinted is for me ..I'm just to fussy.
I'm looking forward to getting in to Tesco clothes,I've just ordered a size 22 dress from simply be ,so if that fits I may start looking in Tesco

GnomeDePlume · 17/06/2025 10:55

@Bulldogsummer perhaps some of your discomfort in smaller sizes is that you have got used to clothes being very/too loose.

Well done on the weightloss.

Bulldogsummer · 17/06/2025 10:56

Yes I think your right gnome
