I like daily weighing too, now i'm used to it and understand how much say hot weather or salty food can cause a flucuation its taken away a lot of the emotional impact of seeing numbers.
So I totted up the loss over the last week on 10mg, as i only record my jab day weight on shotsey generally, i lost 5 lbs!! Thats the most of any week so far, no wonder i felt utterly dreadful. Finally dont feel like i have a brick in my stomach today though, so glad the levels are dropping now and I can start to eat again!

CoolLimeSheep · 28/07/2025 15:15

I weigh daily but I do need stop it.
Ive gone back down to 7.5mg and still feel really nauseus so might start jabbing every couple of weeks and start tapering but do you still think ill lose the 7lbs I want like that?

sweetpickle2 · 28/07/2025 16:00

Why every couple of weeks @CoolLimeSheep why not count clicks and do 30 each week instead?

A NSV for me, I'm in a pair of size 12 jeans! I was an 18 pushing a 20 before the jabs, I can't believe it. As I took them out of the packet and pulled them up my legs I was like no way am I going to fit in these, they're tiny. But I did 🤗

I know for a fact this particular jean comes up a little on the larger size as I have them in about five colours in older sizes so I'm probably not quite a 12 across the board yet, but I'll take it!

CoolLimeSheep · 28/07/2025 16:05

@sweetpickle2 im wanting to come of mj soon as only want lose another 7lb then im done but doctor said dont just come straight of it so thought maybe jabbing every couple of weeks or do people just reduce the amount they have for a few weeks?
Im just unsure how to taper off it.
And absolutely awesome you can fit in size 12 jeans go you!

sweetpickle2 · 28/07/2025 16:24

It takes 30 days for MJ to leave your system, so whilst there wouldn't be anything wrong with what you're suggesting I'd probably taper down in smaller amounts rather than going longer between jabs. But now I think about it, it probably doesn't make too much difference!

When I finish my 10mg jab I'm going to taper down to 7.5, then 5, then 2.5 etc.

Have you asked your supplier what they suggest? @CoolLimeSheep

Zibb · 28/07/2025 16:26

I like weighing daily. The fluctuations are annoying but I know that a gain isn't going to be fat. Whereas if I was weighing weekly and saw a gain I would definitely spiral and assume I'd fucked everything up.

@sweetpickle2 yeh that makes more sense what youve suggested. I haven't spoke to med express about it yet as ive still want about 7lbs to lose which I will still be classed as overweight but dont care 😂. I'll just see how I go next couple of weeks then might just order 5mg the 2.5mg like you said thanks for your advise

I just tapered down my last pen 5mg, 3.75, then ap few 1.25s until it was finished. The hunger returned as soon as I was at 1.25 and all my issues came back (insatiable hunger, food obsession etc) when I stopped.

I'm determined to keep it off though, I'm still doing mainly the same thing but mj made it all 100x easier.

CoolLimeSheep · 28/07/2025 16:40

@WLINewbie that's the thing that scares me but would you say your stomach has shrunk enough so you wouldn't be able to eat as much. Im.doing alot of exercise at moment and ive gone off alot of foods do you think that will come back once I stop? I cant even stand takeaways now I dont like the taste and think they've all gone down hill even bloody mcdonalds has.
I defo want to keep it off like you. Im sure all of us do.
Thanks for advise

Hi no I could eat enough for a family of 4 and then get pudding later. Was like that pre MJ too, with the jab I just felt satisfied and not starving constantly. I don't think I'm normal tho 🤣.

I just have to dig really really deep to keep going. It's hard as it's all consuming and the food noise came straight back but I think I knew that'd happen and have plans in place if I go off track

CoolLimeSheep · 28/07/2025 16:52

@WLINewbie pre mj i could eat a massive carvey piled high and finish the plate i hope i can never do that again 🤣. Before I do come off I'll start building a plan that's good advise too ill prob still get in protein meals aswell for when I cant be bothered cook

SpiralSister · 28/07/2025 17:39

Well, 10mg was kicking my arse this morning! Ate my usual berries, Greek yogurt and granola and couldn’t finish it. Felt like I’d eaten a roast!
I expect I’ll adjust though..

NSV - don’t need chub rub shorts any more!

narkyspirit · 28/07/2025 20:57

I have used the last of my 7.5 pen to do a 10mg dose on Friday evening felt fine all weekend ate as usual over the weekend, light lunch as working sat and sun and homemade Thai curry sat and Sunday eve. Today I've gone to France for work and had a coffee at the airport and a bacon roll this morning and had no appetite all day no at hotel and not eaten anything all day and not hungry at all.

gym session tomorrow in the hotel gym and breakfast before meeting clients tomorrow at 0900 hopefully I will have appetite tomorrow. here for the rest of the week so will have to eat with clients at some point!!

Mounjaroday · 29/07/2025 08:37

Plodding on this week. Just want to get there already!

SW 103.9kg
CW 73.9kg (800g loss from last week)
TW 72.2kg (top end of healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg

Still weighing daily. It’s a good habit for me and lI feel more accountable this way. If I don’t, I might stop for three years like last time and live in fear & denial about weight gain!

WoolerOwl · 29/07/2025 08:54

I agree @Mounjaroday . When I get to goal I will have to weigh daily so I don’t do the same and live in denial.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 29/07/2025 09:01

Agree about daily weighing being keep for success. All the people I know who have maintained a healthy weight weigh daily.

MynameisJune · 29/07/2025 09:17

I weigh daily, it definitely helps keep me on track. The fluctuations are still annoying even though I know they’re normal by now.

I jabbed yesterday in my thigh for only the second time since starting. I can definitely feel the 7.5mg more today than I have any other week since. I need to do better with rotating from stomach to thigh as I’ve noticed in places on my stomach it’s harder to get the needle through and I think it might be scar tissue build up from the jabs and I wonder if that’s been effecting the efficacy of the meds.

eleanorwish · 29/07/2025 09:17

Not made much progress this month as I haven’t been eating as healthily as I would like. I spent a week visiting my mum, and then a week visiting my in laws in Cornwall, so I was eating more junk food. Managed to stay the same weight over those visits. Then I went to a festival at the weekend, and delayed my jab from Friday to last night to avoid side effects. I put on 2lbs since Friday. I think that might be down to the large amount of alcohol that I drank. Oh well, back to it today!

Mum2Fergus · 29/07/2025 10:07

I weigh daily. MyFitnessPal app allows you to log your weight daily and then calculate the average for the week, smoothing out daily changes. My average come Saturday morning is what I log as official weight.

SpiralSister · 29/07/2025 12:52

Ooh warriors, this 10mg is strong, isn’t it? 😂

Not loving it so far, but early days. I think I may have found my top level at last. I’m going to want to see those scales move this week with this level of carry on!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far..💐

sweetpickle2 · 29/07/2025 13:17

Agreed @SpiralSister- I was very unwell yesterday, couldn't keep down anything besides a banana and a slice of toast, and was throwing up all afternoon/evening. Today I have managed to eat but been running to the loo!

SpiralSister · 29/07/2025 14:00

Yikes! Hope it clears up for you soon.

I must admit I have had an incredibly easy ride up to now, so I am going to stick with it and see how it levels out with this pen.

I guess we can always go back down to 7.5mg by counting clicks, or back down with next pen..

sweetpickle2 · 29/07/2025 14:08

Yeah I think I'm going to count clicks and go down to 7.5mg when I next jab, then I can get two of those out of it and see what I want to do after that. This is my second week of the 10mg and I'm not risking another!

skyscrapersinging · 29/07/2025 14:59

Well, I’ve done it. Target weight reached. 20kg down.
SW 89.2kg
CW 69.2kg BMI 22.1

I see @Mounjaroday has a dream weight and I’m tempted to try for that now. But that feels a bit unsustainable. Will see how I go, still a couple weeks of 7.5 left in my pen, but then I might go back down to 5. Or even count clicks with a 7.5 and go back to, say 6.5? Anyone else moving down or maintaining? This will be a whole new adventure.

skyscrapersinging · 29/07/2025 15:02

Me too. It’s helped me not panic over weight fluctuation. I now see it is totally normal. I’m using Happy Scale app, does same thing- averages out the weight, so I can see a weekly or monthly average,
which is probably more useful for me going into maintenance now. Just need to keep the weight steady over time.
