I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

Anyone else having really weird dreams since starting Mounjaro? Maybe just a coincidence but I am! 😂

SquishyGloopyBum · 23/05/2025 16:29

Delayed weigh in/jab today for week 6 as I’m just back from holiday. 2.5lbs off though! I was very surprised given drinking/eating out! Sticking at 3.75 as it’s working great.

SW 13st 1lb
CW 11st 11.8lbs
TW 10st 7lbs

Few of us feeling a bit rubbish this week, wonder if it’s the heat.

I am suffering with dry skin at the moment too, although I haven’t been drinking as much this week, but what usually works for me is to put a body oil (I use Vaseline cocoa) on whilst still wet from shower and then 10 mins later putting moisturiser on, I really rate the aveeno one.

@Pepperwaggytail I would take less personally, you want to enjoy the holidays.
Have you tried your arm for injecting?

No I’ve not tried the arm - mainly because I thought it looked a bit tricky!
I’ve got another week before I go on holiday so I’m going to try 4mg in my thigh and see how I feel next week then adjust the dose accordingly.
I didn’t lose any weight at 3.75, but no side effects either!

I always have really weird dreams, so no change!!

Lots of people seem to talk about changes in their sleep though, for better or worse, so it makes sense.

@QS90 Sorry you’re feeling so tired. It’s really tough isn’t it? I do think being in a calorie deficit makes me tired regardless of anything else. I’m absolutely shattered at the moment but as I said to someone else I genuinely can’t work out if it’s the MJ or just life. I rarely get more than 6 hrs sleep and even when I don’t have to get up at 6:20 I often wake at 6 ish anyway and can’t get back to sleep! I’m terrible for going to bed at a sensible time and then reading until I physically can’t keep my eyes open any longer!! I hope it might stabilise as we get used to the drug or maybe when we start maintaining.

Thanks and same back at you with sympathy for exhaustion!! As @saxonyv says, seems to be a spate of people on this thread feeling not so good 😒Hopefully just temporary and we'll soon all be annoyingly buoyant and perky! Have invested in some "Active Iron", in case low iron is contributing. Lots of people seem to have reported longer and / or heavier periods on these WLI, so thought it was worth a try.

I do periodically feel burnt out with life too, but what I had on Wednesday was like being 1st trimester 😱 Thank God it's not as bad as that. Did I read upthread you have 4?? I feel tired even thinking about that lol. No wonder you can't tell either way! X

@QS90 I am also totally exhausted, I have a manic full time job and am menopausal but this is another level. I took 5ml last week but am going back to 3.75 as have a friend staying this weekend and don’t want to abandon her for naps!!

Hope you have / are having a great time with your friend. Do they know about the MJ?

Im going to drop to 3.75 for my third jab from a 5mg pen. I was doing ok on 2.5 and have felt more tired and had some blurred vision this week. Weight loss is steady at 1-2 lbs a week which is fine. Meant to be doing it tonight but v late now (just got home from work function) so will jab in the morning and count clicks.

TC4 · 23/05/2025 23:51

So I was pleasantly surprised after 10 days of being in Las Vegas a lot of travelling (including a 46 hour delay) a lot of alcohol and a lot of food (I feel like some of it was better choices than it could have been but this was Vegas not much is healthy lol) I some how managed to maintain the weight I was before i went away!! I took my Mounjaro with me but didn’t end up using it there so have had 2 weeks off in total so decided to drop down to 2.5mg I may now be wishing I went for at least 3.75mg but what I read said I should drop back!!

Crikeyalmighty · 24/05/2025 00:48

@Lundier that’s a very pertinent point you made - I for instance am a BMI of 32.8 at the moment -I don’t think I look ‘obese’ regardless of what terminology they give it - yes I’m a bit chunky but I’m not Dawn French when she was very big indeed - I’m sometimes an 18, sometimes a16 and at 63 think I do look quite average ( but with a very youthful face)
it’s easy to see the words obese and think wTF - but it actually covers a very very wide range of size and to many others in that30 to 36 range you will look pretty average to others- especially if over a certain age.

Weigh day for me and down 3.4lbs this week, really pleased with that after last week’s half a pound loss!

Now down just over 28lbs 🙂

Brilliant. What dosage are you on?

I told her when she arrived! So far have spent 12 hours just talking & catching up lol!

Doidontimmm · 24/05/2025 08:09

@TC4 thats brilliant!! I remember your dilemma re taking as I’m the same re hols, I go next Sunday. Still not decided!!

SausageRoll90 · 24/05/2025 08:19

Hi guys - well done on the losses 🤗 big or small it's all a loss.

It was weigh day and jab day for me yesterday so here's my progress.
End of Week 6 (5mg)
SW: 16st 9.5lb
CW: 15st 11.5lb
W1: -4lb
W2: -1lb
W3: -1lb
W4: -2lb
W5: -1.5lb🩸
W6: -2.5
Total loss: 11lb

I'm finding 5mg is really suiting me from a suppression perspective. I feel like it's the right balance of reducing my appetite etc without side effects. Some tiredness the 1 day or so after the jab but I had that with the 2.5mg too.
@Incognitoburrito88 I would give 5mg a go as you might be pleasantly surprised. I worried about it but it's been fine for me.
I'm going to order my 3rd pen today and I'm going to get another 5mg 😊

HappyHugs · 24/05/2025 08:48

Week 7 Day 1 (jab day, second 5mg)

SW - 12st 10
CW - 11st 9
TW - 10st 4

for those experiencing a plateau I did two weeks - weeks 5 and 6 - with no change but lost 3lb this week. The only notable thing I did differently was be more disciplined with my 2litres of water per day. Swings and roundabouts.

Thanks! I’m taking 3.75mg currently. Was intending on only doing it for 1 week to bridge between 2.5 and 5 but while I’m losing at this rate I’m hesitant to move up any further, so I’ve just taken my 3rd 3.75 dose last night (8th jab total) Suppression is really good still.

Thankyou - I have my first 5mg pen and am really uncertain about it. Many here seem to do 3.75 first. So do you do 45 clicks?

Musermum · 24/05/2025 10:13

Weigh day for me and I'll take my 3rd 5mg later this evening.
SW 117kg
CW 109kg
So 8kg loss (think this is about 1st 3.5lbs). I have a lot to lose though. I'm going to order my 3rd pen this weekend and stay on the 5 as only SE is tiredness and a wee bit of constipation (which I haven't had to take anything for).

Med express asked my GP for my medical history so I collected it and emailed it to them. Only weight on it was 101kg in 2018 (when in the depths of anorexia refeeding of DD1) so glad to be heading towards that again. Trying to persuade DH to give it a go for a month as, although he's not obese gets upset that clothes don't fit etc.

Yeah 3.75mg is 45 clicks from a 5mg pen. Worth giving it a go for a week if you feel nervous about jumping up to 5 imo

Yes. I did this last night as I found the full 5 was taking a little toll on me. I need to up my water intake too.

Also can't remember who it was on their thread, who recommended it, but having been listening to the "Zoe" podcast and I absolutely love it! Thank-you to whoever it was ❤

Finally - a significant loss of 3lbs this week after 4 weeks of zilch! I've made a conscious effort to eat more than I really want to make sure I get between 12-1400 so I guess my body is using them more efficiently rather than holding onto the very little I was putting in.

I also had my gynae appointment this week following the post-meno bleeding I've had. All good and the consultant said my womb was looking typically post-menopausal 😂. Two of the nurses I saw were also on MJ and having similar issues so it was nice to chew the fat with them about their progress.

Well done. I had the same - 3 weeks zero loss - then a heavy period (not had one for 10 years) - then massive loss when that was over - so on average 2lb a week but in stops and starts. Have to hold your nerve.

What did your Dr recommend re progesterone? I have a scan on Tues.

Good luck for your scan! Progesterone wasn't mentioned, but I'm not on HRT so there's not that balancing act that's needed with those that are. The consultant seemed fairly confident that it would be a one-off and that if I have another bleed they will have me back for further tests.

6 -0.4 1162 2.5mg
7 -2.8 1181 2.5mg

I'm going to be at this a long while, will have to just start posting my Shotsy graph later to summarise it all or it'll be pages long 😂

Weigh in today, 8wks in and just can't believe the results and how happy it's making me. I've been losing and putting on the same 1 to 2 stone for years - haven't been this 'light' since 2011, just when peri-menopause started kicking in with a vengeance 🙄

Really starting to believe in this drug now. Suppresion is perfect on 2.5 for me, enough to still feel hungry occasionally so do feel there is an element of willpower involved, but it's fairly easy, and really enjoying the healthy food too. Calories are still a bit under TDEE but I hate being 15st/16st with a passion and will review it all once I get into the 14's. Got 2 x 5mg pens next just in case things change but hopefully, will still take 2.5mg.

I love having this thread, I'm not telling anyone irl, and it's really motivating to hear all your thoughts and tips, keep carrying on all!

SunnySpellsAhead · 24/05/2025 16:37

Oh, and the Oushk shenanigans seem to be continuing. I got an email saying my delivery, which I hadn't scheduled for this week but next month instead, was delayed and would be arriving today (with the postie as usual presumably), so I've been hanging about just in case. Of course, it hasn't materialised. Hope they sort themselves out soon.
