Yes join in the fun and huge congratulations on your losses and on joining the thread.
I am also a yo-yo dieter and my goals now at 58 are to reduce risk of dementia, diabetes, CVD, cancer and physical / musclar skeletal issues arising from a lifetime of obsesity.
I have done SW, lighter life (VLCD), fasting in the past and I am concerned about maintenance - as I believe that I have lost lean muscle and consequently reduced my metabolism each time.
This time around - I am hoping to have the mental capacity to build in the good habits whilst on MJ that I will need for this to be sustainable.
I know I need to proactively reduce my stress (yoga, self care, the right people and environment around me) and manage my maximising sleep - so that the cortisol and other hormones are in the right place for fat burning.
I know that I need to do my 10,000 steps a day and to weight train.
I know that I have to keep my alcohol intake low and ensure I am getting enough protein each day.
These are all lifestyle changes I need to build up slowly so they are my normal routine - and I will stay on MJ until all of these are entrenched.
Failure is not an option (again) and hunger always wins so I will cut UPFs and stick with intermittent fastin which I am doing now. I am weight training once a week - need to increase this and my steps.
So lots for mr to focus on but I now have the headspace to do this I think without the food noise and raging hunger pre-occupying and derailing me.
