Wednesday is my new weigh-in day and I’m stepping up to 5mg today. Appetite suppression has definitely lessened this week. This is the start of week 7.

SW - 11st 12lbs
CW - 10st 10lbs
GW - 9st 12lbs

Newmum110 · 28/05/2025 14:09

I moved up to 7.5 yesterday (a week early) no side effects so far but I have been very lucky to date with regards to SEs.

Knakeredd · 28/05/2025 15:28

Some how I miss counted my weeks so thought I was taking the 8th dose on Sunday but I was already at the end of the pen. I then ordered but because of the BH weekend it wont now arrive until Sat....and I am starving today.

RhaenysRocks · 28/05/2025 19:33

Right, I have a very motivating target..new boots from Vinted...would be £80 new, got for £15. They don't quite do up on my calves but they aren't far off so they are my marker for my next "win". Let's see how it goes....

Haven't you used the bonus dose?

Wk7 Day1
I know I said I wasn't going to stress about numbers so long as the trend was down ... And all the time I am not having side effects but am having a huge benefit in not grazing ... But I really really really want 3kg off in these last two weeks of pen two.

3kg in a fortnight?

1kg would be more realistic. Even slightly less.

QS90 · 28/05/2025 23:27

Just ordered my 7.5mg - eye wateringly expensive!! But will last 7 or 8 weeks, counting the clicks to 5mg & doing the bonus dose, so approximately £23 per week. I have to keep reminding myself!

No because I hadnt ordered any needles.

Weigh and jab day for me

Week 1 - Didn’t weigh (holiday)
Week 2 - -11.9lbs
Week 3 - didn’t weigh (holiday)
Week 4 - -4.4lbs
Week 5 - -2.2lbs
Week 6 - -3.9lbs
Week 7 - -1.1lb 🩸
Week 8 - -3.7lbs

so far 27.2lbs down

I’m quite surprised I lost this week as I feel like I’ve been eating a lot. I’m hoping to make it to 2 stone lost by the time I finish second pen. I’ve just jabbed and will have magic dose next week. This one hasn’t lasted as long cause I did two weeks of 7.5mg. Gone back down to 5 this week really just to test what is there right dose as didn’t feel any huge changes going up. And if I can stay on a lower dose for longer that would be preferable.

Off to Rome tomorrow for a long weekend which I’m hoping won’t be a complete disaster, travelling with my son is not easy as a general rule he doesn’t cope well but we will see how we go.

hope everyone is having a good half term.

Newmum110 · 29/05/2025 09:26

So after my wobble & complaining early in the week I lost 4lbs this week. 22lbs down in 7 weeks, thank God for this group & people talking sense to me.
I lost 25lbs from March last year to March this year with diet & exercise change & now with WLI I've lost nearly the same amount in 7 weeks.
The cost of it in Ireland is outrageous but in fairness if some said you can lose 2 stone but it will cost you €1000 I would jump at the opportunity. Maybe it's a mental thing that I think cause I'm paying so much money I "deserve" to lost weight faster.
I need to read this post back when I'm having a wobble in another few days. I think I will be on WLIs for a very long time & just have to accept it as a financial investment in my health.
Best of luck to everyone on their Weigh ins.

SquishyQuokka · 29/05/2025 09:58

It’s been well over a week since I checked in as I have been away! Made sure I ate sensibly and smaller portions, and even though it’s been almost 2 weeks since I last weighed I have lost 0.6kg - which is amazing! Usually when travelling on planes I gain 4kg of bloat (generally weigh every day to track fluctuations). This means in the last 2 months I have lost 7.6kg, again the lightest I have been for years. Moving the scales at a good pace I think!

I've just taken my 4th dose of 5mg. Some side effects but generally ok to cope with. Definitely felt more tired on 5mg compared to 2.5mg. According to schedule I move to 7.5mg next week. Probably have just under 10kg to go until I am comfortably within the BMI for my height :)

SW: 79.9kg
CW: 72.3kg
Lost: 7.6kg

Weekly Losses…
W1: -2.7kg
W2: -1.1 kg
W3: -0.1kg
W4: -1kg
W5: -2.1kg
W6: away
W7: -0.6kg

vl888 · 29/05/2025 10:04

Last 5mg jab today before moving to 7.5mg next week (have my pen stored in the fridge)

2.5mg
Week 1 - -9lb
Week 2 - -2lb
Week 3 - -4lb
Week 4 - -1lb
5mg
Week 5 - -2lb
Week 6 - -3lb
Week 7 - -3lb

So far 24lb down.

Think I might have to increase exercise soon. I do loads of walking each day as we have a dog, but I feel like as I am losing weight, my skin is starting to lose elasticity / look slightly saggy 😳
Anyone recommend what exercises to do? I also see a lot of mention of collogen - does this help with this? And if so, any recommendations?

SquishyQuokka · 29/05/2025 10:10

@vl888 I’ve been wondering about collagen too. I keep seeing Ancient & Brave being celebrity endorsed on Instagram - a little bit of me is tempted, but it seems pretty expensive. Would also be interested to know if other recommendations and whether people felt it was helping.

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 29/05/2025 10:37

Hi all, new here but started Mounjaro on 11/4/25. So Wk9d1.

It’s definitely working, just taken my 8th dose (back up to 5mg from a dip to 3mg where 5mg felt too strong but first week without a loss this week so back up to it).

I feel very naive as had no idea about the 5th dose so will look into that as it isn’t cheap!

Down nearly 10kg in 8 weeks so pleased as I have nearly 30kg to lose I think - no TW set, just a how I feel in the clothes I kept from 2010/11 pre-DC really.

SW:99.3kg
CW:89.8kg

Wk 1: -3.1kg
Wk 2: -1.9kg
Wk 3: -0.5kg
Wk 4: -1.3kg
Wk 5: -1.4kg
Wk 6: -1.3kg
Wk 7: +/- 0.0kg

DrMonjo · 29/05/2025 10:49

It went on one pie at a time and it's coming off like that.
I think I was in denial for a long time that I had put on so much weight. I didn't see it going onto my calves but one day a pair of boots wouldn't zip up. I didn't see it over my collarbones but my little black dress was the next year too little.
Things are feeling a bit looser, it's going to hopefully be rather satisfying when it comes to digging out winter clothing after a summer of gradual loss.

Musermum · 29/05/2025 11:12

@vl888 @SquishyQuokka Im using Hunter and Gather Marine Collegen. It's pretty tasteless in my morning coffee so easy to take. Rotten in just water though. Hard to tell if it's working.

I’m using Willpowders. Don’t know if it’s working yet as only been on it a few weeks.
I have it in a smoothie or just a small glass of squash and I can’t taste it. 😊

Uninvitedleaf · 29/05/2025 12:07

@drmonjo I love your one pie at a time analogy!

I think it was one vanilla latte at a time for me, but similarly I just didn't notice it sneaking on until it was far too late. I've lost about 11lb so far but I honestly can't tell from where. I'm expecting some big lightbulb moment when I fit into something that hasn't zipped up for ages or need to buy a noticeably smaller size but nothing yet. But it really helps to remember I didn't feel it going on so it's maybe not a bad thing that I'm not noticing it dropping off yet other than on the scales!

Schoolsec · 29/05/2025 12:46

@vl888

def do weight training. Don’t t have to lift heavy weights but it’s made a huge difference to my arms and leg shape. Clothes also fit better. Joe Wicks has lots of YouTube workouts! 💪

SeaDippingandLattes · 29/05/2025 13:07

@vl888 i use a vegan collagen and the watermelon one tastes nice. Was pleasantly surprised after the awful electrolytes I bought from free soul. I’ve just ordered the strawberry one try now also. Hoping it will help the old skin not sag too much.

they sent me a 20percent thing off in case anyone else wants it Use my 20% OFF discount https://wearefeel.com/a/referral/kerry144

not sure if it works yet or not as only in week 5 and to be fair I don’t have any wrinkles yet but hoping to lose four stone in total so thought I should probably start taking proactively as two out of my four kids were born via c section and I already have an overhang. Hoping the collagen will suck it all in and I’ll look like a model 😂

I tried these supplements and they are great. Give them a go. You will get a special 20% off, if you use my promo link too!

Ohh perfect, thanks. I'll have a look on You Tube! My other half has weights in the house so I can use them (will have to remove some of the plates though so I can actually lift it off the ground though 😅)

QS90 · 29/05/2025 15:05

@vl888 I think it's more that if you are deficient in the amino acids found in collagen, your body is less able to repair skin. If you have enough, collagen won't necessarily make a difference. But I guess the result is the same, it's important to make sure you have enough!

I find the "clear" collagen less offensive. I haven't found one I'd drink if it wasn't for the nutritional benefits, but just drink it down a bit like medicine.

10th April SW 260lbs
CW 238.9lbs

interim GW 200lbs
Final GW maybe 160-170lbs.

Just taken my 4th 5mg jab. Plan to use the golden dose and already have my next 5mg pen in the fridge. I stalled the last couple of weeks but lost 4lbs this week. I’d definitely have given up at that point without the jab and without these threads.

My shape is definitely changing and I’m down a dress size, maybe 2 as these are a little loose.

Pepperwaggytail · 29/05/2025 19:50

Musermum · 27/05/2025 01:07

Thanks for that @SausageRoll90 . I'm about same stage as you and I feel awful today. Luckily I'm off for the bank holiday but only managed to eat a bit of fish and pasta at teatime. I'm definitely not going up to 7.5 although might order it and do clicks to stay on 5.

I’m exactly the same at 3-4 weeks on the 5mg dose. In fact this week I only took 4mg and injected into my thigh hoping for less side effects. I’m still feeling exhausted and nauseated. Thankfully I have some anti nausea meds from after an operation last year and med express have just issued me some different ones. I think they will get me through days 1-5 which were rough last week. Oh and I also bought some pepto bismal - hell it smells bad! But it does help!
