What a lovely feeling @meatyryvita

@UnderandOverwhelmed back in March my hair suddenly got really dry and crispy, and dead like. I looked it up, and saw some Reddits that it can be from MJ use, or a lack of vitamins. So I bought a load of vitamins and had it cut out. Went today to the hairdresser to get the last of it cut out - we were talking about it, and she was so surprised at the state of it when I came in, in March. It was horrid. I rarely dry my hair, or use products - so it wasn't from that. It has definitely improved now and I'm hoping it doesn't come back...

Have discovered a downside to weight loss this evening. Went to a concert with the kids (Imagine Dragons). Those plastic seats are really hard and uncomfortable if you don't have a lot of own padding any more!

I went to an event with dd yesterday and had the same experience! My arse goes numb very quickly now.

Yes! I noticed this too!

No change to my hair…

MananaPenelope · 01/06/2025 07:12

Morning, school chairs 👻, even with an ample arse mine went numb. The joys of 2 hour music concerts where your only kid plays two pieces! Thankfully those days are behind me!

No ill hair effects either here.

I've injected a day early today - 5mg. I'll take 5mg next week and then start a new pen on 6.25mg. I'm trying to time my pens so that I take one away with me and finish it a week before I come home so that I don't need to worry about taking two pens.

Weight back at 91kg this morning which is something I guess! My new trousers came yesterday and fit really well. Given that I am pear shaped, a size 16 tailored trouser that fits is good progress. Focusing on the positives.

@BigFatty given you're just moving up a dose, I'd probably jab whatever day you get it this week, Weds or Thurs, then wait the 9 or 10 days to get back to a Sunday on the following jab.

Has anyone noticed any skin changes on MJ? I usually have patches of dry tough skin on my knees and ankles but realised yesterday they've completely gone. Maybe MJ, maybe that I've drastically cut down on UPFs?

Smooth elbow skin seems to be a very common side effect of MJ - everyone - stroke your elbows and feel the silky smoothness!

The elbow thing is so true! I switched moisturiser to a Kiehls one and had assumed it was because of that, but maybe not!

This is so weird, I just checked and it’s true!

meatyryvita · 01/06/2025 09:04

The elbow thing - how!! It’s true!

Aimingdown · 01/06/2025 09:12

Less time eating so less resting of elbows on the table (I was badly brought up)

TicTac80 · 01/06/2025 09:33

Crikey, the elbow thing is the same for me! I'm a lazy cow and don't always moisturise my body after showers/baths, so this is mad! On that note...does anyone have an idea to get shot of slightly loose skin? I don't have much, but it would be good to firm things up a bit.

I'm on second week of maintenance (10mg). I took the dose last night. Weight now is 54.8kg. I'm just eating a balanced diet, but not forcing myself to eat as I feel sick if I have too much. Taking a multivitamin when I remember!!

DGonMJ · 01/06/2025 09:54

Wk22 MJ • Wk2 maintenance • 5mg
SW 79.6kg • GW 62.4kg • CW 61.4kg
TDEE 1800
Daily calorie goal 1750

Not sure I was hitting calories each day this week. But it’s nice not having to hold back as much as I used to. Still conscious of my protein intake, which keeps me on a good path. I’m doing things like adding honey to my fruit & yoghurt now, or having the whole sandwich instead of just eating one side of the bread.

CurlsandCurves · 01/06/2025 09:59

Giggling away at the thought of us all feeling our elbows!

TicTac80 · 01/06/2025 10:19

@DGonMJ, I'm so impressed! I literally have to stop eating as soon as I am feeling full (or I'll feel so sick), which often means that I can't manage much at all. I think I'm really going to have to start religiously logging food intake, so I can keep a close eye on things.

The bento lunchbox thing helps as I put in some seeds, some All Bran (I actually love snacking on this - good for upping fibre too), and things like olives, cheese/grilled meats/avo and so on in the main bit with some salad/veg.

Jins · 01/06/2025 10:57

+1 on the elbow thing but DH says it feels like thinning skin so that took the shine off it. Haven’t seen it mentioned as a side effect. I know steroids can cause thinning skin.

STS this morning after a greedy day. I always feel at my most hungry the day of the jab. Not hungry at all today though.

So much to be getting on with today and no inclination to start.

Dear Lord! What witchcraft is this?!!! My usual rough old lady elbows are silky smooth! I hadn’t noticed, not being prone to stroking my own elbows…

SW: 13:7
CW: 10:2.

I can’t believe it still. I think I will keep trying to lose until I get to a BMI of around 22 then think about maintenance. So about another ten pounds or so.

Polkadotdash · 01/06/2025 11:51

Elbows is so weird! I literally looked at mine in the mirror about an hour ago as I put of on t shirt and thought ‘is this too young for me? Are my elbows giving my age away’ and saw that they looked better than normal. I thought it was because I had switched to that Dove pro-age moisturiser as Sali Hughes recommended it for its dead skin cell sloughing glycolic acid content.

How was it? I'm going in July? Perhaps I will take a cushion 🤣

Yes, I have smooth elbows!! They used to be quite dry. I don't moisturise, I think about it but then forget!

Oh really good. A mix of differetn albums, not just the new stuff but classics too. Only thing they should have changed for this outdoor venue specifically was that Thunder was done still in full daylight, not the same if you don't have the effects.

Good to know, we are at Wembley and I think it starts at 5. My hubby is the fan, I do like some of their songs but not sure I know them all. I will probably have to start listening to some! I haven't been to a concert in such a long time!

That's interesting, I really hope i don't need to cut it out, it's many years of growth as its so long and I'm not up for a new style! I'm not currently taking any vitamins, so I'll add some in.

HeavyHeidi · 01/06/2025 14:49

was sorting my wardrobe again. But quite a different experience. Before I was always negotiating with myself that well if I don't breathe in, this thing could still fit. Now I go 'well it's big but if I wear a belt..'
Vinted will get a lot of traffic from me very shortly.
