Your MIL sounds awful @Ireolu , glad you are a continent away!

not really a NSV, but something I'm super chuffed with anyway. my monthly exercise stats...at least 5 times a week every single week in May...go me!!
I've had so many years of illness and injury, I could never have imagined I'd be able to do this. I have proper muscles in my thighs and everything 😂

Well done with the exercise. That's pretty impressive, long may it continue!

MIL is an unhappy person. We refuse to be impacted by her determination to be miserable. It is what it is.

MananaPenelope · 31/05/2025 12:09

@Thelittlestranger thank you 🙏. Maybe I should think about increasing. I’ve got two doses in a 5mg pen and then two more 5mg pens in the fridge.

I’m hesitant to change anything this week as I’m presenting my research over three days next week and need to be on top form.

I’m having spells where I feel really really hot, could be peri-menopausal I guess, I’ve got no idea where I am on that journey because of all of the medication I took, but I’m not a year without a period yet so it could be. That could be the cause of my internal rage 😂. I’m managing to keep a lid on it, but I am definitely internally very grumpy.

mince3point14159265 · 31/05/2025 12:10

Congratulations @supafish ! Lost 3lbs and gained circa 8lbs of baby joy! 👶🎉

Some great losses everyone, amazing how far we've all come since the beginning of the year 👏👏👏

Week 23 jab today, still on 7.5mg.
SW: 15.13.0
CW: 12.0.6
Loss this week 2.8lbs

My post for this week should be titled Knocking on Eleven's Door! 🎶

Have noticed over the last week or so that I don't seem to be filling my bra quite so much and may even need a smaller one! Yay! Although without bra, they're struggling to stay north of my belly button. Perhaps I'm 'cheating' by using a bra! 😜 Along with 'cheating' by using contact lenses, 'cheating' by using a dishwasher to wash my dishes, yada yada yada... Do these people never give up? Why do they even need to come onto the WLI section if they're so anti them? 🥱

Carry on Lovely Losers 🥰

JoanCollinsDiva · 31/05/2025 12:10

Well done all those lovely NSV’s!

supafish
Aw a baby grandson how lovely - congratulations!

Ireolu
I’d have poked her back (hard) and said “rude-y rude-y” the cow!

I really feel for you it must be so frustrating- you’re hardly eating. My two penarth is that you should try moving up too - the low dose isnt working for you any more and surely it’s worth a try? If it makes you feel rubbish you can count clicks and move down. I’ve been feeling pretty great on 7.5mg.

I weighed yesterday and have lost another 2lbs so definitely need to move down a dose now as I’m trying to stay where I am. My 7.5mg pen from oushk arrived and I’m planning on counting clicks to take 5mg. I’m not really concerned about the pen going past 30 days use as I gather the risks are minimal. Can anyone answer this: do you just order from oushk when you want another pen - they don’t automatically just take payment and send out another one (like juniper)? I had booked a maintenance call for last Thursday but there was no email sent and on my account page I couldn’t find any info about what I was supposed to do to access this call? Haven’t heard anything from them and not particularly bothered as I’m happy to just order the pens - I don’t feel it needs a discussion - I’m just not sure if it’s a requirement of theirs to have a call?

Started this 17th jan -
SW: 13.6
GW: 10.7
CW: 10.2!!

BMI is now 21.6 - I’m really chuffed!

mince3point14159265 · 31/05/2025 12:15

@MananaPenelope this WLI forum has been great for getting information on all the jabs etc, are there any sections for people post chemo treatment that are going through the same as you? Hoping you find the answers as seems so tough for you 💐

MananaPenelope · 31/05/2025 12:33

Thank you everyone and @mince3point14159265 .

I think I just need to get on with it and stop moaning @mince3point14159265 . Quite rightly, the system only seems to care about ‘no evidence of disease’.

I’ll think about going up to 6.25mg the week after next. I am honestly tracking everything, I even weighed the bloody jam I spread on a piece of sourdough bread last week (and thought how ridiculous it was). Bread on scale, logged, bread on scale with a dollop of jam, logged. 😎

I promise to stop moaning 😂, thanks for listening to me.

Zempy · 31/05/2025 12:41

Just checking in to share my news.

I have collar bones!!!!!

mince3point14159265 · 31/05/2025 12:44

@MananaPenelope the drugs used for treatment are some fairly heavy sh*t so no wonder it's messed up your metabolism! Just thought there maybe some other people that are experiencing similar problems, not necessarily in the WLI section? Think the NHS is woefully inadequate when it comes to a holistic approach to healthcare.
Maybe @Thelittlestranger is on to something with the higher dose and it might give your metabolism the proverbial kick up the backside.
We're here for you whenever you want a moan; just remember, whilst you're typing it's harder to eat the biscuits! 😂

Reallyyyyyy · 31/05/2025 12:46

@DGonMJ no not really! The food noise has only just started to creep back in! So took a while! My coffee addiction has also come back.... so I'm thinking i might buy some decaf and mix a ratio with normal coffee until I get it down. Or do 2 normal coffees and then only decaf after! Sugar in coffee also!

Actually can anyone recommend a sugar alternative that doesn't taste awful?
Or maybe I should just gradually wean off of the sugar!

Also bread! Im struggling with not eating loads of white bread which i think is where the 1.5 kilo fluctuating is coming from!

Thelittlestranger · 31/05/2025 12:47

@MananaPenelope that's what this thread is for right?

My moan is about bras, but also, a thank you. I bought a load of new bras (5) 5 weeks ago because I needed them and had waited for ages. Didn't think I would change much, as I had only changed a cup and back size in the first 1.5 stones. Came home, read this thread and @HeavyHeidi said 'don't buy too many in case you outgrown them.' So, I didn't wear two of them to see what would happen.

Sure enough, 5 weeks later, half a stone down and I need more new bras - so was able to take two of them back and swap them. Bravissimo very good to do so also. I'm still 34F 🤣🫣

Each pound is showing and feeling more the smaller I get. It's quite eye opening.

Checking in post holiday.

Glad to hear from the maintainers. I'm sort of in that bracket. I weighed in after a week after an I put on 0.2lb which I call a maintain. That said I usually maintain my weight when I go away to Egypt regardless of what I weigh. It is quite strange! That said because I'm gluten free my options are limited - no cakes, pastries, pasta etc. They did make me a pizza one but it wasn't that good. I also don't drink and have small portions, smaller on mj definitely!

My BMI is 22.3 and although I felt good on holiday there is still some extra fat, although I'm mostly tempted to deal with this by building muscle. My thighs and arms are very wobbly so losing more off them won't make them look any better and my stomach is very crepey but I don't really care, not enough for a tummy tuck. I'm hoping it will tighten up with a year at this weight 🤞

I'm moving jab day to Monday so that I can eat more at the weekend. I will probably jab 2.5 as I am jabbing early and jabbed 2.5 on Wednesday. I will see what happens to my weight and decide from there. I'd like to lose 3 more pounds to get to the bottom of my weight target bubble and it will give me a bit more wriggle room in case this maintenance journey is a struggle!

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 13:43

@Thelittlestranger I reallly feel that one kilo right now makes more of a difference than 10 first kilos I lost.
I'm now 30E in half cups or plunges, but 30DD in fuller cups. It's funny to occasionally see comments about someone's 'double D's' when they mean someone busty, probably an HH or so. Because let me tell you, DD at 30 back is tiny!
But, but - I can actually wear those regular built in bra tops and not just Bravissimo ones. And while I still want cup sized bikinis, bought a high street swimsuit, fits beautifully.

DGonMJ · 31/05/2025 14:19

Was finally forced to go shopping today. I need an outfit for an event. Turns out I’m a size 10. And even one of the size 10 dresses looked a bit too big on me. I’ve read others’ experience with this and think ‘that’s nice for them, they must have seen it coming though, they’re losing weight’.
But then when it happens to you it’s such a shock! I haven’t been a size 10 since I was 18 years old. I’ve long come to terms with not being that size and being happy at a bigger size, so it’s just very strange to find myself smaller, suddenly in this previously unattainable bracket, feeling healthy and not deprived.

2025istheyeari · 31/05/2025 15:12

Wow some fab losses and NSV 🎉 and so many at or near maintenance, amazing, well done to you all!!

Commiserations to those struggling, especially @MananaPenelope who seems to be having it tougher than most 😢. Good luck with your research paper presentation, and I agree with others, I’d maybe move up, but definitely agree with going to 6.25mg first, my move from 5-7.5 was awful, I tapered up when I moved from there to 10 and no major side effects this week 🤞🏻.

In other news, Oushk said it would be ok for me to come off for 2 weeks while I’m on holiday, so I’m going to, it all seems too stressful and I don’t need that stress on top of everything else that’s going on at the moment!! I’ve got my maintenance call with them the day after I’m back so will be a good test too!

@JoanCollinsDiva yes you just order when you need from Oushk, they’re not sent automatically ( If it’s the same on maintenance which I guess it will be?).

Enjoy your weekends everyone.

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 31/05/2025 15:33

Really struggling to get Oushk to engage. They tried to deliver my order to the wrong address the week before last. I spent all week emailing them to sort it out and they didn’t reply. So I went on hold on the phone to them for almost an hour before I got through, explained, paid £10 for redelivery - then double checked they had the right postcode - and they hadn’t. They assured me they’d corrected it, sent it out - and to the wrong postcode again. They just ignore emails and I’m at my wits end. I’ve paid for a reorder but won’t get it until next Friday - which means I’ll have had notification MJ for 2 weeks. Any advice please?

I would ask them for a refund and order elsewhere. Even if you then later want to move back to Oushk, you'd probably get one quicker going to another provider!

MananaPenelope · 31/05/2025 16:50

Shocked @0ncemorewithfee1ing , their courier cocked up my delivery last week and they couldn't have been more helpful.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 31/05/2025 17:01

That's amazing @DGonMJ ! You must be so chuffed!

Has anyone noticed any changes to their hair since taking MJ? My hair is dry, frizzy and almost crunchy if I leave it to dry naturally. This isn't an issue I've every had before and I have hip length hair so it's really bothering me. I thought it was the water or build up of conditioner or something but my DH suggested it might be MJ as the timing makes sense.

MJalltheway · 31/05/2025 17:08

Sadly @UnderandOverwhelmed my hair is always dry and frizzy so no change here!

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 31/05/2025 17:37

@MananaPenelope I’m glad you’re finding it easier. I must have emailed them at least half a dozen times last week and am yet to get a response. When I finally got through on the phone, she was pleasant enough but despite me checking more than once, the same error has occurred. It’s only the second time I’ve used them so it’s not giving me a great impression. I went to them as I’ve seen others rate them highly.

DGonMJ · 31/05/2025 18:09

@Reallyyyyyy If I get a sugar craving I try to go for a Medjool date first. It normally hits the spot. I keep meaning to stuff it with a tsp of peanut butter to see if that puts a lid on the cravings even more. Or a square of dark chocolate often sorts it when I’m at work.

@0ncemorewithfee1ing that does sound like poor service. Didn’t someone on here try Pharmulous and get a very quick response?

@JoanCollinsDiva can you check in your junk mail folder if you have any emails from ‘Wisebee’. I had to look in there for my maintenance video call link. Hopefully you can re-book.

@UnderandOverwhelmed me! My hair has become dryer and frizzier. Made worse by the humidity. Might need to do a hair mask. I do think MJ has affected it, as well as drying out my mouth and eyeballs. I have that chalky mouthfeel like when spinach strips all the saliva from your teeth; and eyeballs are not quite as bright as they were (more visible capillaries. This is probably a sign for me to drink more water.

@tinyemmy thanks for that chart, super useful. Well done on maintaining during and post-Egypt!

@HeavyHeidi and @Thelittlestranger i think I need to do another bra shop too. Need a strapless one, and need to get my poor deflated balloons resized. I expect if you roll them up they’d just about fill an A or B cup.

JoanCollinsDiva · 31/05/2025 20:33

DGonMJ
I've just checked and you're absolutely right - it was under Wisebee, I think it had been mentioned before on here but I forgot 🙄 at least il know for next time. I don't think il bother booking another maintenance call and just see if they contact me about it.

My hair is a little dry too UnderandOverwhelmed- I think it's probably just bc I'm not eating as many fatty/oily foods. Also my mouth gets very dry and has done from the start, I'm constantly drinking sugar free squash and herbal tea.

meatyryvita · 31/05/2025 20:49

I am currently in love with M&S wide legged jeans. I finally fitted into their size 16 about 6 weeks ago - all good. I bought a pair of 14s thinking they’d be good inspiration and I’d get into them in a few months.

I tried them on today figuring they’d get stuck half way up my thighs, or that I’d have a massive gut poking out because I couldn’t get them to do up.

They not only slipped on - I was able to do them up without any struggled whatsoever! Me, a size 14! It’s been umm about 15 years since that was my reality!!
