I've finally done an order at a new provider, haven't cancelled Voy yet until I get confirmation it's all gone through. Should be about £80 cheaper for this next pen!

BigFatty · 30/05/2025 23:47

Hi girls - need help.

My Supplier is late sending me my jab. I'm due to start 12.5mg on Sunday. If I can't jab until Wednesday or Thursday - is this a big deal?

And how do I get back to normal jabbing on a Sunday? Would rather keep it on a Sunday so would need to get back!

Thanks

Reallyyyyyy · 30/05/2025 23:52

Checking in!

Hope everyone is OK. So i think I am about 2 months off of the jab now.... or more like 6 weeks. My weight has fluctuated by 1.5kg (normally around my periods) but I'm still a size 12 (size 16 pre jabs)

However the food noise is fierce and I gave into it this past week (it's a slippery slope) also blaming my period! So I'm going to be extra good this week coming!

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 08:26

@BigFatty I would move the jabbing day then, don't do the next one sooner, that might be too much. Won't be a big deal, might get hungry though. My provider says you can have a 2 week break and start with same dose, so a few days will be fine.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 31/05/2025 08:49

@BigFatty I think you would be fine to move it back again maybe one day per week to get back to Sunday. I've messed my jab day about because I was ill, so didn't want to jab when I could still barely eat. I'm normally a Wednesday jabber and last week didn't do it until Friday. This week I'm doing it today and then I'll see if I want to keep trying to move it back to Wednesday.

MJalltheway · 31/05/2025 09:03

@BigFatty given you're just moving up a dose, I'd probably jab whatever day you get it this week, Weds or Thurs, then wait the 9 or 10 days to get back to a Sunday on the following jab.

Has anyone noticed any skin changes on MJ? I usually have patches of dry tough skin on my knees and ankles but realised yesterday they've completely gone. Maybe MJ, maybe that I've drastically cut down on UPFs?

MananaPenelope · 31/05/2025 09:11

@Reallyyyyyy lovely to see your update 🏆, I’d say that was a success. Well done.

Still fed up here. No change 😖. Trying to focus on other things. I had a homemade baked salmon fishcake and salad for lunch yesterday which made me feel 🤢 for the rest of the day so I didn’t eat much else, gain of 200g today.

I’ve got gardening and at least a day of research (work 😩) to do this weekend so plenty to do.

Have a great Saturday.

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 09:26

@MJalltheway how funny, I was about to post the same thing. My perioral dermatitis that I've been struggling with since I was a teenager - gone. A patch of ezcema that bothered me for a few years - no sign. And my face is looking great.

Personally I think it's rather giving up/drastically reducing alcohol and sugar - but then again, that is a direct result of MJ.

supafish · 31/05/2025 09:30

Well after whinging last week about slow losses I only came in with a 3 pound loss this week and hit 30 pounds off in total!! Woop woop ! So chuffed 😍
Can only think it was dancing for lots of the weekend at a local festival on painkillers but sometimes you gotta let go and dance despite the pain .
My clothes has suddenly got loose again and some much loved dresses have had to go on Vinted cause they look swampy and can’t really be altered . But it means I can look and get new ones .
That and a brand new baby grandson this week means I’m happy . 😊

My rosacea’s gone! Am delighted.

Currently waiting for my colonoscopy and the nurse said, ‘oh you’re on mounjaro?’ So I braced myself, but she then said she’s ordered it, and asked loads of questions, and was super lovely!

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 09:35

congratulations @supafish !

@MananaPenelope oh this must be so frustrating, and you're putting so much effort in. I think about you every time I read one of those 'oh but just eat a little less, you lazy fatties' comments.

BreezyPeer · 31/05/2025 09:36

@supafish that's a great loss!
I'm having a wierd weigh in 'thing'. Twice now, when I've put my weight into shotsy I've ended up with a strange graph and when I check it's because I've recorded 13st something instead of 12st something 🙃 it's like I literally can't believe my weight now starts with a 12!! 🤣🤣🤣

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 09:38

@BreezyPeer I had a similar thing this week, went for the CT scan for my hernia (hernias, as it turned out) and they ask for your weight. Started to write my old one. It felt so weird to put 61 kg down.

It's a proper roasting 30c here today. It's quite something to wear tiny shorts and one of those built in bra tops.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 31/05/2025 09:54

A bit of a NSV today, I've actually left the house in a pair of size 14 jeans! I could get them on for about the last two weeks but felt so constricted I just took them straight back off! It's my first proper size reduction despite having lost 48lbs now. My husband didn't notice and when I asked how I looked just told me my top needed ironing 🙄

Yes to skin changes. I have suffered with Seborrheic dermatitis for years. Three years ago it was so bad that my dermatologist said that, at first glance, it looked like I had been burned. I have been managing to keep it reasonably under control with the Protopic cream that he prescribed but it would never completely go away. Now it pretty much has and I’m hardly using the cream. I don’t think it is the change of diet because my diet has hardly changed, I just eat less. I cut out all sugar and alcohol three years ago for six months and it made no difference.

DGonMJ · 31/05/2025 09:59

Huge congrats @supafish what a wonderful week it’s been for you!

@Reallyyyyyy fab news to hear you’re maintaining 6 weeks off the jabs. Good luck with managing the food noise. Do you have any strategies for dealing with that? Glugging water first, or filling up on protein?

Skin conditions - summer is normally when I get dermatitis on my fingers, am waiting to see if it flares up. Only time I’ve not had it was when I fully gave up dairy. Am only lactose free now.

I’ve lost a little this morning, despite having steak, sautéed potatoes, a massive slice of banana cake last night and awaiting my period. Down to 61.2kg. All within my preferred range. My lowest limit is 60kg (I honestly thought I’d look awful at this weight, but I look ok). If I hit that then I know I need to titrate down. Will continue to jab 5mg tomorrow.

Ireolu · 31/05/2025 10:16

Hope everyone is doing well. How long ago was January when we all embarked on this journey.

I have now lost 19kg. I have stopped counting the weeks now. Started in mid Jan. Currently on 10mg. I plan to stay there I think. Its becoming an expensive with the higher dose pens. I'm still using asda for convenience - able to pick it up locally. Not the cheapest but I can afford it....just

My toxic MIL who poked my belly in December calling me 'podgy podgy' has been to visit in the last week after not seeing me since then (thankfully live on different continents). Not much to be mean to me about when there is less of me. She doesn't even factor in the decision to shift the pounds. She made one comment about it being 'good for health' to lose weight. Blah.

Plan is to shift another 10kg. Prior to MJ would have seemed an impossible feat. The losses have stalled but I'm OK with that. Will take it slow and steady. I don't deny myself anything. Still have chocolate and the occasional biscuit. Grateful to have been able to do this.

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 10:27

@Ireolu so MIL didn't have anything positive to say?

MananaPenelope · 31/05/2025 10:30

Thanks @HeavyHeidi. I’ve thought about whether I should increase to 7.5mg, but I do feel exhausted and grumpy a lot of the time and I’m only averaging 950-1000 cals a day so I don’t feel like that’s right for me atm.

The last time I measured my waist it hadn’t moved either so I’ve stopped doing it!

I have got my favourite work trousers arriving in a smaller size today and can wear a couple of fitted Karen Millen work dresses that I’ve always thought were sized small in a 16 that I couldn’t wear before, so I can see some difference I guess.

Ireolu · 31/05/2025 10:30

HeavyHeidi · 31/05/2025 10:27

@Ireolu so MIL didn't have anything positive to say?

Nope, just that losing weight is 'good for health'.
Have been with my husband 17 yrs. Married 10 yrs. I have no expectation of the woman and if I'm honest he doesn't either. Happy we live far apart.

Jins · 31/05/2025 10:32

It’s not June yet and I’m blown away by how well some of you have done in less than six months! I’m also pleased to see the maintainers sticking around.

Commiserations to the plodders. Especially @MananaPenelope who has rather more gains than you’d expect. I’m a bit of a plodder but I’m closing in on goal now.

Jab day today which is a day early but I need to get back to Friday as my official jab and weigh in day. It’s the golden dose and it’s going to be the first time I finish a pen with MJ remaining as there’s loads left. I was planning on 6.25mg but actually think I might do 7.5mg as side effects seem to have settled. I’ll start my new pen next week and I’ll be doing 6.25mg doses for the whole pen. Maintenance call at the end of June and should be good to start titrating down.

My goal of 9st or 57kg was plucked from the ether and I can afford to lose a little more. The NHS BMI calculator gives me a healthy range between 7st 7 and 10st 1. I dropped to 7st 7 once on a combination of the Atkins and heartbreak diets and it’s too low. Problem is that I’m now older and have way less elastin so I’m going to play it by eye

MJalltheway · 31/05/2025 10:44

Your MIL sounds awful @Ireolu , glad you are a continent away!

not really a NSV, but something I'm super chuffed with anyway. my monthly exercise stats...at least 5 times a week every single week in May...go me!!
I've had so many years of illness and injury, I could never have imagined I'd be able to do this. I have proper muscles in my thighs and everything 😂

LillethCrane · 31/05/2025 10:44

Well done everyone for the losses and it’s fab to see so many people are at, or approaching their target- very impressive.

I started 10mg this week and so far it’s been heaven! I’ve got the same suppression and lack of food noise that I first experienced on 2.5mg and that I haven’t found since. It would be amazing if this could last and I don’t have to move up again.

Something I discovered this week is that I’ve skipped a dress size. When I started, size 18 was tight, and I started MJ as I was determined not to buy any bigger clothes. I’m so far from target, I haven’t wanted to buy any new clothes, but thought I’d try on some old bits and bobs and I’m now in size 14. So I’ve skipped realising I was size 16 altogether!

Thelittlestranger · 31/05/2025 11:42

@MananaPenelope you are probably fed up of advice, but I'm going to throw a different perspective in there anyway. I was eating similar amount of cals than I am now, at a lower dose. I went up to 7.5mg because loss had stalled. Similar weekly cals still, although I have had to try and up them on this higher dose, rather than the other way round.

It has made a huge difference - and I've lost half a stone in the past month. I figure my grumps and tiredness are from lack of cals mainly, and that's going to happen no matter the level of mj. May as well see the difference into the scales. Anyway, another perspective to consider.

Catching up with all the losers…. Jab 21 this morning and I’ve lost just over 2st in total since my Jan start. 40% of my goal according to the app. So I’m definitely still a plodder.

My wardrobe is the in between stage of some things are too big so clearing out and there’s still some that don’t fit, plus the realisation that I don’t actually like half of it and only bought it because it fit at one point. I’d love to chuck 90% but can’t afford that as well as the mj.
