@BreezyPeer we have the exact same starting weight - 101kg =15st 12 and I'm currently 85.6kg =13st 6 so very similar current weights too 🙌

The response from Zava is a bit rubbish! Useful to see though, I will be switching provider for my next pen and will be choosing carefully!

TicTac80 · 22/05/2025 12:29

@MJalltheway, I initially contacted them last month. I was about midway (had two normal doses plus a bonus dose left) through my first 10mg pen, so I'd put in an order for a second 10mg pen, and added a message saying that I was at target weight, and wished to commence maintenance doses. They declined the order (no explanation) and so I contacted them again to explain everything and get clarification. I think I did 4 messages and 3 phone calls, to no avail. I only got this message early this morning. I contacted Pharmulous last week and put in the info they needed. Order was processed and I received it on Monday.

I completely understand the need for being cautious and responsible about prescribing these pens - I'm an HCP myself - but a clearer explanation would have been good. It's partly my fault though....I should have really checked the situation with maintenance regimes earlier. I guess when I started, I didn't think that this would work and that I'd get down to target weight!!

RockyisMYRhino · 22/05/2025 12:30

Weigh in and Jab day here with another 2lbs gone never to be seen again! Im very happy that the scales have consistently moved downwards for the last few weeks as I had a bit of a sticky point for about 6 weeks before that!
SW: 15st 1lb
CW: 13st 4lb
GW: 10st 7lb

BreezyPeer · 22/05/2025 12:33

@MJalltheway weight loss twins!!! 🎉I have my target as 12st but that's bmi 25 so if/when I get there I will make a new lower target.

2025istheyeari · 22/05/2025 13:25

Wow, some amazing weight losses and milestones, well done everyone!!! A 4 stone loss @Lovetoridemybicycle wow, phenomenal!! Glad those of you who have been sticking have had your well deserved losses as well.

@HeavyHeidi how was the spa?!

I’m definitely sticking! I’ve been away with work, tracked well under calories both days and focussed on protein but still the same. Hoping it’s water retention after flying but think it may be a set point as I’ve been here or a pound up for the last 3 weeks. If it is it’s a bit odd as I haven’t been this weight for probably 14 years so how come my body has decided this is it 🤷🏻‍♀️.
I’ve got 13 pounds to the top of my healthy BMI and think it’s going be v slow!!! 10mg for me next week.

HeavyHeidi · 22/05/2025 13:28

@2025istheyeari in case you were wondering, yes saunas in Czech Republic are also mixed and 'textile free'. As the hotel clearly catered for local clientele, none of the notices were in English, so we didn't know, only heard later that some local guests had complained. I'm generally happy with nudity, but not with work colleagues, if I can avoid it.

Thelittlestranger · 22/05/2025 13:46

Some great losses, well done to you all!!

I had two comments at work yesterday on my weight loss, and a direct piss take question on whether I was on ozempic. I simply smiled and said of course, and then ignored it further.

I am struggling with what clothes I want to wear now I'm smaller. I don't necessarily want to hide my body anymore - so I'm not sure what to wear. Also completely confused as to what size I am. A recent haul of online shopping saw me too big for size 12 jeans, perfect for petite size 12 from Miss Selfridge, too small in the boob - I have ample to go round (perfect everywhere else) for petite size 12 dress. And Oliver Bonas I fitted into size 10s. I've kind of given up and think I need to just go into town as I'm running out of clothes to wear.

HeavyHeidi · 22/05/2025 13:53

Inconsistent sizing is the bane of my life at the moment. Have a number of packages ready to be returned - even same brand can vary massively.

And yeah I've gone off most of my clothes, even the ones that in principle fit. Have to be more ruthless getting rid of the ones that are in principle fine, but I never reach for them, especially if I have a similar but better version of the item.

DGonMJ · 22/05/2025 14:59

Haven’t gone shopping for new clothes yet, but just from the clothes in my wardrobe the sizing is all over the place.

Had my Oushk consultation call. Had to go into my junk folder to find the wisebee email with the video call link. Call went well, I was asked about my history with MJ, dosages, starting weight, whether I had previously struggled with weight. She recommended staying on the same 5mg dose and upping my calories by about 50 per week until I stabilised and stopped losing (or gaining), and once I found a good balance to then think about going back down to 2.5mg. She also said that this process wouldn’t necessarily be easy, it’ll be a bit of trial and error before I can then switch off from keeping an eye on calories and weight and just go back to being regular DGonMJ.
I’ve got my three codes for the Conti plan, after those three are used up I can either book in another call or just email to let them know what I’d like to do, taper down or stay on the same dose and then I’ll get another three codes. There was no pressure to stay on MJ or come off, but an acknowledgment that staying the same weight and not losing any more was the goal.

Hope the above is useful for anyone thinking ahead to maintenance.

I used to LOVE Northern Exposure - il have to give it a watch again and see if I still do!

TicTac80
I agree that Zava message is a bit crap. Kind of "thanks for your custom now fuck off"! - it's my understanding too that you're supposed to titrate down.

I've tried to put in an order with Oushk today. I booked a maintenance call for next week (with Bilal?) and have ordered a 7.5mg pen. I just put a message in the notes box saying I'm currently with juniper but would like to change to Oushk as I want the option of long term maintenance. I've realised on my juniper treatment plan that they've only agreed to supply me until October and I'm worried about that. Also Oushk is cheaper. Only thing is when I've looked at my emails there's no record of the order which is strange (I did it early today and still nothing there) is this normal does anyone know?

And there's always the fact they might refuse me of course! My bmi is 22 now 🤷‍♀️. The thought of getting cut off in October worries me as that's when I would naturally start eating more in the winter months and pile it all back on again. I'm determined not to let that happen but I've been there many times before!

This is really helpful thank you! I have my call in just under 3 weeks time. I haven’t calorie counted throughout this whole thing, and don’t intend on starting, so no idea what they will suggest for me? I really hope they don’t say I need to as I cannot be arsed with it. All sounds positive otherwise. I’m really glad they have such a progressive approach to maintenance compared to most other providers!

TicTac80 · 22/05/2025 17:54

@DGonMJ , that sounds really sensible. It is good to hear of providers giving these options, with no pressure either way.

@JoanCollinsDiva , that is sort of how I felt...like that, but also like I was some sort of weirdo who just wants to keep taking the MJ to keep losing weight. Anyway, I'll be keeping on with the portion control and looking at calorie counting. I think I will have to do this to keep on top of things. I start the new 10mg pen this coming weekend (I changed my dose time to Friday/Sat eve). What I also might do is start to increase the times between doses and monitor how that affects things. I'l have a think.

MananaPenelope · 22/05/2025 18:38

@JoanCollinsDiva I've just checked, I always get a 'your order is confirmed' email first, then a 'your order is approved by our prescribers'.

Re: calorie tracking, I think the message was more along the lines of ‘don’t increase your food intake too quickly’ however you want to track that. So for you if that means one extra snack on a Saturday in week 1 and then an extra snack on a Sunday in week 2, and that works then you’ve found your method to slowly increase.
I’m actually still unsure how I’m going to track increasing as I’m not being consistent with tracking at the moment.

I do need to still keep an eye on my nutritional balance, today (after the call) I had gallstone-like pain which I’m suspecting is another fallout from the peanut butter fat, topped up today with a coconut cream based curry 😖

Thelittlestranger · 22/05/2025 20:55

Really useful @DGonMJ and in line with what I was thinking. Although 50 per week is a very slow increase What are the codes? Just to show you can order and they are keeping an eye on you?

@TicTac80 can't believe you got a call so quickly with Oushk. I booked mine over a month ago for July 🤷

Ah yes that makes perfect sense! I’m very inconsistent with what I eat, but I think that’s probably pretty ‘normal’ - having lower calorie days and higher ones. Thanks for this, you have put my mind at ease a bit about what to expect. I think maintenance is the most terrifying part of this whole thing!!

JoanCollinsDiva · 22/05/2025 21:40

Thanks MananaPenelope still no confirmation email but when I log in to the account I set up it shows the order and the maintenance call I booked so hopefully it'll be ok. I hope so bc they've taken the money 😆

MananaPenelope · 22/05/2025 21:44

I think they’re fab @JoanCollinsDiva , after DPD cocked up my order last week they recalled it and sent it out again, then the day before dispatch I had something come up that meant I couldn’t be here 😫, so I phoned them and asked to switch it to Royal Mail (because my lovely postie will open a certain window and put it through 😂if I leave a note).

All done happily with efficiency - I bet they think I’m a pita, but you’d never know it!!

JoanCollinsDiva · 22/05/2025 21:51

Thelittlestranger
I placed an order with Oushk today and managed to book a maintenance call for next Thursday - I was pretty surprised, I wonder if they've taken on more staff to cope with demand?

discov
I agree about being terrified of maintenance - I keep stressing that I'm going to get cut off and not manage alone and have to give myself a good talking to! It feels like my future success at keeping the weight off is in other peoples hands and I'm also worried about putting on weight when I start eating more. I think it's the control freak in me stressing about it bc it's the unknown. When you're losing you know what you need to do but with maintenance I haven't got a clue and it's going to be a balancing act working out how much I can eat. Also maintenance is something I've never managed for long in the past! I know I'm being daft though, if I put weight on it's not the end of the world - I just don't want to end up back where I was.

JoanCollinsDiva · 22/05/2025 21:54

MananaPenelope
Oh well that's good to know you can phone them - most companies won't even give out a number nowadays! If I have any problems Il give them a call.

That is exactly how I feel too. I’ve never been able to get to my dream goal weight, which is now very very close, so it’s totally the unknown for me. And the lowest I’d ever been able to get to as an adult (2st more than I am now!), I couldn’t maintain it for more than a few weeks. It is scary and I don’t want to go back to how I was. I am more than happy to stay on MJ forever if I am able to!!

discov · 22/05/2025 22:03

Oushk have a new staff member who is able to do maintenance calls so they have been able to add more availability, which is why they had some free for next week. I saw it on their fb group 😃

Good point @Thelittlestranger ive been thinking about the ‘50 per week’. I wonder if she meant add 50 a day but increase that weekly? So week 1 is 1450 a day, week 2 is 1500 a day till you get to 1800 a day? That would make more sense right? So you’re actually going up by 350 a week.

The codes are discount codes to use when you order your maintenance dose that give you 15% off and free delivery. No choice of courier though.

Morning lovely losers!
weigh in day and I haven't quite managed to hit the half-way mark of 85.5kg .

SW 101kg
CW 85.8kg
GW 70kg
loss this week - 1kg

Can't be too sad though with a 1kg loss this week 😁
I normally do my jab on a Thursday evening but realised I completely forgot last night! So will take it this morning instead.

Zempy · 23/05/2025 06:44

I forgot to jab last night too!! I will do it tonight.

Feeling very tired still from the old jet lag but fine otherwise. Out for brunch on Sunday but otherwise I’m looking at a very calm and relaxing BH weekend 😍
