Congratulations @DGonMJ , that's amazing!
Despite still only having managed just over 100gr of Greek yogurt today I'm going wild and have suggested a wagamama takeaway for dinner. I'll get two kids meals and see which I can manage and stick the other in the fridge, if can manage both ill eat both. After 4 days of barely 300cals a day I think I deserve it! I'm debating on whether to postpone my jab tomorrow until I'm actually eating normally again, what would others do?

@BlueLimes have you considered eating more at mealtimes to remove the need for snacks? I did the Zoe test last year and one of the things you learn on that is that timing and combining foods in different ways can actually have a big impact on how your body responds to it. So eg, always eat some protein with fruit for example - and one of the tests is to see whether it's better for you to eat the protein before, directly after or 10 mins after.
if you had your yoghurt and nuts as part of lunch rather than as a snack for example, that might work better for you.

I only have lunch and dinner and rarely snack so I aim for pretty calorific meals - 6-800 cals. I have plenty of olive oil, cheese and protein.

Some amazing achievement on here, you are all so inspiring!

I have just completed my first run of week 3 on couch to 5k and I must admit I’m actually quite proud of myself! Never thought I’d be able to run at all, and although I’m still super slow and a hot sweaty breathless mess by the end of it I’m still going and managing it! Not sure I’ll ever be able to run 5k but I’ll certainly give it my best shot!

I’m always bruising when I inject. I’ve had to stop injecting in my bingo wings now that the weather is warmer and I’m wearing short sleeved tops as it looks awful. I don’t know how to avoid it.

I tend to bruise if I inject into an area with stretch marks (which is most of my belly). Do you think that might be the case?

@MummyInTheNecropolis congrats on the run! I need to start couch to 5k again, my last try was the start of 2024 when I maybe got to week 4, then the weather was consistently terrible, plus a three week holiday throwing me off track, finished off with having to take time off work for stress! Needless to say, running was my lowest priority at that point.
But following everyone's positive reports, I'm hopeful that it will feel that much easier with 3 stone less to lug around!
So thank you for the inspiration/reminder to get back to it!

Well done on completing your week 3 run @MummyInTheNecropolis! I did couch to 5k a few years ago and would sometimes repeat a week, but I did get there in the end! That feeling of being able to run constantly for longer than you ever could before is incredible!

@BlueLimes your average day’s intake looks super healthy, if you think you’re quite repetitive you could vary it up a bit, take a week off tracking? Have a couple of days of carbs and then a couple of days off?

I always bruise too, have always jabbed in my thigh and every single week have a big bruise!

Morning all! I managed nearly all of my kids katsu curry, honestly it's a better portion size for weight loss anyway.
I'm taking the advice and delaying my jab until my appetite is back but I've weighed in as usual today. I'm 4lbs down since last week, not so surprising given the lack of food!

Hopefully I don't put back on what I've lost this week as it's finally starting to feel more doable now I'm on the right side of half way. I'm only 1lb off an overweight bmi, which is a good milestone.

I'm on holiday next week too. I can't wait. I'm definitely looking forward to letting my hair down but keen not to put on weight!

I took the golden dose for the first time today. I was on a 2.5 pen and ended up jabbing 5 last week as weight had stayed the same and decided to do everything that was left in the pen today which I calculated to be 3.16 which should be perfect for holiday. I'm taking a 5mg away and will decide whether to jab 2.5 or 5 when I'm out there. It will depend on whether I've been able to eat much!

I almost always order kids food, the difference is now it satisfies me rather than makes me feel like I need more.

Officially 2.6lbs down this week which should be plenty to get me to my slimming world target tonight!!

Feeling really despondent today. Should have been awaiting surgery this morning but instead I’m in the office. No idea when my surgery will be rebooked so I’m facing more months of drudging on, trying to function whilst wondering when I can next lie down and close my eyes. All my usual things I do to pick myself up (chocolate, comfort food) no longer have the desired effect on me. I’m still eating them anyway. Feel like I’m sabotaging any minor gains I’ve had in weight loss since January. 😥

Oh @Polkadotdash that sounds really tough. I hope you don’t have to wait too long. I hate the postcode lottery of our healthcare system.

I’m on my phone and struggling to see more than the few posts above, partly my eyes, partly my patience for starting to write on one page and having to swap to the previous page and back again! Happy birthday @JoanCollinsDiva and welcome home @Zempy. Congratulations on losses.

I’m just planning to carry on as normal on my three week holiday.

I seem to have lost 3lb since the weekend, lowest weight recorded again after all my ups, downs and sticky bits. I have to say that I don’t think I’ve eaten very nutritiously this week. Yesterday was Philadelphia, breadsticks and an apple for lunch, orange as a snack, ¼ of DC’s pizza and a gut pro yoghurt for dinner. Not good food.

I’ve had two 11 hour days in the office and couldn’t be bothered to cook. I wouldn’t want to eat ⬆️ for too long really despite restarting my downward trend (hopefully anyway).

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes 🥰 I had a lovely day. Lunch was at a trendy restaurant in that's known for its cocktails and I sampled several! I also had Caesar salad, a slice of pizza and most of a knickerbocker glory and managed it all fine. I've deliberately left jabbing for a couple of days partly so I could eat well on my birthday and partly bc I want to get used to feeling hunger again! I'm just going to play it very much by ear with titrating down and probably do another 7.5mg jab or two from this pen then il start my 5mg pen but I may try to go longer between jabbing each time and see what happens.

In other news I'm off to the vet for emergency flea treatment for my cats - I've just found a massive flea on me! I've always had cats and this has never happened before - I felt an itch and saw this thing hopping up my leg and I screamed !! It's my own fault for not keeping up with the treatment, I always forget to do it. So will now probably spend the day hoovering and spraying flea treatment everywhere too 😩

Our starting and current weights are very similar! I was 16 stone 3 1/2 to start and currently 12 9. We can do it! Well done on the loss! Glad you managed to eat and hope you feel better soon. Enjoy your holiday @BlueLimes

😱I've just updated my travel insurance, MJ declaration for me and DC2's diagnosis last year (which I had failed to do as it was on auto renewal). The call handler also went over DC1's surgery as a 2 year old, DC1 is now 20 and was discharged at 14, long before I took out this policy.

Additional premium 60% of the annual cost - flipping heck! I asked them to cancel auto renew. I've never claimed on my annual travel cover (touches wood).

afternoon all! Belated birthday wishes to @JoanCollinsDiva and general good wishes to the rest of you fabulous losers.

Bit overcast today so exercise has consisted of a walk up to the art gallery in Dassia which was shut but it must have done me good as it was a tough old climb for these old knees. Turkish delight returned to the breakfast buffet thank goodness. Suppression is definitely reducing as the week goes on but my portions are still mini. I’m definitely eating more than I would be at home though so hopefully the gain won’t be insurmountable.

I was 7lbs off goal when we left and I may be revising it downwards a little. I do look a fair old chunk still in swimwear but there’s a hint of a slim person trying to fight their way out. It’ll be carry on as normal when I’m back home at the weekend as we’re only back two weeks then off to Turkey for a week. I’ve got my maintenance call with Oushk towards the end of June so I hope to have more idea by then.

Last full day tomorrow then Friday is one of those days when you plead for a late checkout so you don’t end up sitting in the bar like Billy no-mates
