@MJalltheway when you get to goal, try a brand called Bara Sportswear. Amazing - only leggings I never need to hoik up, even when running.

Before that, check out a brand called CRZ YOGA on amazon, makes very decent lululemon copies.

I have FINALLY lost a stone. And a pound. 17 weeks…..

But in a clear case of be careful what you wish for, I suspect this is because I was up 5 times in the night with violent diarrhoea. So I have a sad feeling it will go back on very quickly.

Was the diarrhoea caused by MJ? Who knows. But i‘m at the point where i need to decide whether to go up or not. As of yesterday I’d have said definitely. I can feel hunger roaring back by day 3/4. Never had my food noise shut off. Is it possible to only start getting side effects on week three of a dose?

PS also a fruit fan: cherries, nectarines, greengages, strawberries….

I’m not allowed fruit so it’s easy for me. I can have an occasional banana and I’ve tested mango but anything else is completely off limits.

I still managed to gain weight 😡

Oh @0ncemorewithfee1ing I’m so sorry that’s rubbish 😳.
I had awful diaorrhea and stomach cramps on week 2 of my second 7.5mg pen, so I would say yes it’s possible, I was surprised! It maybe something different entirely though, maybe see how you are tomorrow? Is it worth talking to your provider to see what they suggest?

I don’t cut fruit out entirely, I just have less of it, I have berries every day but bananas or mango/ pineapple etc a bit less frequently. But yes nectarines and cherries here soon!! Love this time of year!

Polkadotdash That nurse sounds like an ignoramus to be blunt! There seems to be so much misinformation surrounding WLI's ("that" thread - I mean 🙄) even in the medical profession where you would expect people to be educated. I guess it's a bit like hairdressers who trained in the 80's and still give people mullets bc they haven't kept up to date with the fashions 😂

I agree with MJalltheway in that I'm not willing to give anything up that I enjoy such as fruit even if it means losing slower, though I get how bloody frustrating it must be when you're losing and gaining the same weight over a month. It's really mind blowing how differently our bodies work. I've consistently lost despite being quite a lazy cow and doing no exercise other than walking. I also havent cut anything out and have what I fancy albeit never going over about 1000-1200 cals a day as I can't manage it. I'm on my period atm and I've had pizza and cake today 🙈 I am tall-ish though - 5"8".

Fingers crossed it starts to move again soon mananapenelope, I feel for you when you're eating so little🤞

I agree mananapenelope and fruit is so full of vitamins and good stuff that it would seem wrong to cut it out. I also refuse to count fruit as carbs! 😂

We stopped at a renowned fish and chip shop tonight on a drive back from a meeting, I’m not keen on fried fish. I managed, ordered a small haddock and small thing of peas.

I didn’t eat the batter, only the fish from inside it. I was thinking about how that’s what I would have eaten pre MJ too.

Frustrating.

I struggle with fruit = carbs too @JoanCollinsDiva . I mean what is my body up to where I can’t eat an apple and an orange a day! It’s like FGS, 🔫 me now.

Totally suppressed today, don't think i would have eaten dinner if it hadn't been put in front of me. I've had a small latte and a 550 cal dinner (if that) and that's it today. I'm torn between trying to get some more in me or just going with it as I'm sure I'll eat more tomorrow.

You’re so right about some medical staff giving the mullet equivalent of advice @JoanCollinsDiva I’ve had conversations about cholesterol where they’re still talking about eggs and prawns! Some are amazing though, of course.

@MJalltheway interesting theory about hitting set points together as we are likely in the same phase of our journeys. I'm lucky to have not hit a sticking point yet but I've only lost 12% of my body weight and 67% of the way to my first goal point (BMI healthy). Maybe it is on the horizon!

It's been a day of wins and troubles for me. I saw a completely unbelievable number (for me) on the scale this morning. 140lbs. 10 stone. Only half a stone away from my lowest ever adult weight, and well below any post-kids weight. It is astounding. I don't "feel" any lighter but I did put on some size 14 trousers from last summer which I was expecting to feel nice a loose on the waist vs last year but they were falling down and had to go back on the hanger. Really incredible.

I'm finding I'm really not eating a lot and that is absolutely affecting my energy levels. Unchecked while on MJ I seem to have a day of very low calorie intake e.g. 700 and then a more normal day of say 1200-1500. No wonder I'm losing weight. But as a consequence I'm very low energy and have been going to bed at 9pm all this week and sleeping for 10+ hours. I suppose this is only a temporary phase and one might hope I get to my goal in the not so distant future and then start to find some better balance. I really need to make sure I'm taking vitamins as I'm clearly not get enough of anything on my current diet!

Mercury must be in retrograde. Was at a work event today and ate a bunless burger and sweet potato fries. And then, despite having ‘given up’ alcohol, had a Prosecco! Was too sweet…took me an hour to drink the one glass and now I feel a bit nauseous.

The talk we had about rude scales earlier - I was playing around with a style app, this one claims I'm light summer, I think I'm rather soft summer, but never mind. It also asked me to put in a bunch of measurements to assess my body type.
Apparently I'm an hourglass, which is nice. But then it offered me styling tips to hide 'large legs'. Rude!

weigh day - have been sitting at exactly 62.1 for 2 weeks now. Also rude. 62 was my original goal weight.

Weigh and jab day for me! Rude scales have stayed the same. Its really not on🙄
BUT I have lost 2st 10lb since Christmas which would have never happened without MJ.
I have started strength training this week so I wonder if it's that?
Going to up my water and ensure that I properly record everything.
I have been reading about everyone's sticking points. It must be because we all started together. I wonder if 4/5 months is a known sticky point?
I made up an interim target ( because my real target was too big to contemplate😅) and its like its psychological- I just can't get down to it. I am hoping it is a ceiling amd once I break through I'll be back on my way down!
Hoping for unstickiing of sticky points for all of us! Good luck for everyone weighing and jabbing ❤️ xxx

Well done @Pandora71 , that’s a great loss. I’m also more tired than usual (on 5mg) and have lost 12% of my starting weight.

I’ve just remembered that I’m going to the coast tomorrow, last thing I feel like after this ridiculous stall, there’s a posh fish and chip sort of place there which my kids love. I’ve agreed to check on a family house, DC love it so want to come, they also love this restaurant 😑. I’ve been staring at the menu for twenty mins. Seabass with ratatouille is my usual choice, I don’t feel like eating out but we will. Do you know what though, I’ve been making the ‘sensible’ choice for years, bloody years. Thoroughly fed up here.
