I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

@Coventree yeah I think so. I've not had the best suppression over week 3, I'm expecting week 4 to be the same. Hopefully I can get a higher 5th dose out next week and then I'll do either 3.75 or 5 the week after that. If I wasnt going away I'd probably just give the 5 a go and hope for the best I reckon!

W4D1 today, will be doing my fourth jab in a bit once the house is empty. It's gone really quickly, only feels like I started last week 😊 I don't weigh till Friday so nothing to report there yet. Hope everyone has a good day ♥️

Same! just done my 4th jab - all OK just the usual metallic taste. I know what you mean it has gone so quick but I'm so glad I took the plunge - wish I'd done it sooner tbh x
Have a great day everyone - enjoy the sunshine if you can 😊🌞

Morning all! Hope everyone has a good day. Luckily the redness has gone and I've not actually burnt. I'm W3D4 and still getting really good suppression. I've messaged my provider to ask their advice on moving up to 5ml or not.

I will have to watch out for this, I am heading to the sun on Saturday!
I was trying to look back to see who it was that was going on holidays but the thread is sooooo long I can't find it. I wonder did they have an issue with the heat/sun
Also, is there a way to search something on this thread, I'm not great on this and when I searched in the advanced search at the top it does all threads.

Chunkysewist · 13/05/2025 08:49

I gave in and weighed today as I just 'felt' slimmer. 3lbs off! 9.6 lb in 3 weeks 😁 I'll take that!

That's fab @Chunkysewist well done!

@Sunshineandpool I get this when I wear a certain black bikini. It burns my nipples and any skin underneath, looks very red and feels sore but then disappears. I don't think it's related to mj as I have had it before but only with this bikini for some reason. Weird!

I haven't kept up with all the posts the last couple of days but there are lots of really good losses! I have felt a bit more nausea this week but still feeling good supression and no cravings. Unfortunately I have 3 nights out this week (by pure coincidence, deffo not planned!) so going to have to go steady on meals as conscious I don't want to undo all the hard work so far. Will aim to stick to protein and veg!

Brunocatmon · 13/05/2025 11:37

Morning everyone.

Some great numbers on losses, well done to you all.

So I did my third dose on Sunday night so count yesterday as day1 so I'm wk 3 day 2 today and no side effects.

I think I might have had food poisoning last week due to the speed and how violently ill in was. All I'd had that day was a banana and some pre packed mango but some of the mango did taste a bit " fizzy" I've since read you can get food poisoning from mangoes so I do think it was that.

My next pen has been ordered automatically so I'm not sure which dose I'm getting. Tbh I'm happy with 2.5 as I'm getting good suppression all week. If it's a 5 I'll do half doses.

I haven't lost anything this week despite eating just under 1000 calories a day. I'm a bit disappointed but I'm trying to think that I've lost a stone since the 14th April.

I went boxing training today for the first time in 18 months, and I have another session on Friday. I'm hoping that will help.

What's everyone up to today? It's my day off so I'm working in the garden.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Chunkysewist · 13/05/2025 12:03

I'm not up to much today. Tuesday is my quiet day....well it normally is but my daughter is doing exams so is home strange times at the moment and taking over my sewing space with her revision stuff. Need to sort lunch soon ❤️

PeachSnail · 13/05/2025 12:07

Well done on the losses @Chunkysewist@Undecided2025and @YippeeAbsentmindedlyand anyone else I've missed 👏👏👏

I've just done jab number 4... So funny, I get a slight bit of nausea almost instantaneously (unless it's just in my head!)

So I'll be attempting the fabled "golden dose" next week... Might get my partner to assist me as it could be a bit fiddly

I've already got my needles - these ones from MedBasic https://medbasic.co.uk/fms-fine-micro-syringe-32g-8mm-1ml/
Plus some pre-injection swabs

I found a video on YouTube that made it seem pretty straightforward. It was from a user called FatOldClimber titled "5th Dose Using Syringe" in case anyone wants to look it up (Mumsnet won't let me post the link)

I'll report back on how it goes next week! 🤞🤞🤞

MsRicoletti · 13/05/2025 12:44

Hi all, hope everyone is having a nice day.

I’ve just had a weigh in and am shocked to see I have lost 5lb this week… so 12lb total loss so far! I’m nearly in the overweight category… maybe I’ll hit that in a few weeks? 🥳

my non scale victory this week is fitting into a lovely pair of smart trousers that I haven’t been able wear in ages, and I’ve enjoyed swanking about in them at an important work thing today 🙂

I’ve taken my 4th dose and have my next one in the fridge… going up to 5ml on next one and if I feel it’s too much will scale it back a bit with less clicks.

I’m finding that I’m naturally fasting a few days per week (first few days after jab) , as I just don’t want to eat anything until teatime on these days. Am taking mega supplements including multivitamins, and focusing on a variety of veg and lean protein for dinner time.

I feel like though my suppression is very strong, I’m generally getting better at eating a bit even when I really don’t fancy it.

I eat like a toddler these days. I have a plate of Carrot sticks , cherry tomato’s , baby cucumbers, and little teeny squares of toast or corn cakes with full fat cream cheese on top.. maybe a boiled egg- and Nuts and healthy granola as crunchy snacks. I eat a yogurts if I can’t face any else.

I’m Having Loads of water and a hydration sachet each day.

something I’m surprised at is that I haven’t suffered from sugar withdrawals, which I did expect given how junky my diet was pre MJ. In the past when I’ve started to clean eat, I’ve had headaches and random symptoms when cutting sugar.

Crikeyalmighty · 13/05/2025 13:02

@MsRicoletti. Well done lovely - in my experience that’s how many people who keep slim eat anyway - it just doesn’t naturally come to everyone -

Caddycat · 13/05/2025 13:07

Well done everybody on the losses! @MsRicoletti I was so surprised at the lack of headaches, I haven't had any diet coke or sugar for days and no headache...

It's only W1D5 for me, but I was quite hungry this morning which made me wonder whether I actually had some suppression at 1.25mg. It's been fairly easy to keep to 1000 kcal, so I guess it did.

What I'm a little concerned about is a dull ache under my left ribs. It feels like it could be trapped wind, it's not even painful, just like there is something there and on my mind 24/7. I've called my GP in the morning but no appointments available. Anyone has had something like this? Worried about pancreatitis. Would you ask your provider? Not sure how responsive they will be.

catchingzzzeds · 13/05/2025 13:22

@Brunocatmon I’m so pleased for you, you’ve been on my mind. What a relief!

@PeachSnail thank you for the link and video tip, I’m going to order the same

@MsRicoletti 🥳 brilliant!!

@Caddycat do your surgery offer econsults? It needs checking but I’d worry if you go to your provider they may stop your pens?

violetmondays · 13/05/2025 13:47

@Caddycat how long have you had the uncomfortable feeling? I believe pancreatitis is severe pain (from what I have read). Personally I would mention to your provider. My GP, although was happy to support me going on mj he also said that if I had any issues I should go back to the provider rather than back to the GP. But I would definitely book an appointment or go to a walk-in if I was having serious side effects.

Caddycat · 13/05/2025 14:34

@catchingzzzeds I do worry about them saying to stop... But equally I don't want to get pancreatitis! @violetmondays I do worry that the GP won't want to hear about it...
Funnily I've stepped away from my desk and had a very active couple of hours and it's actually gone... I'm going to see how I feel tomorrow and try again to get GP appointment.

@Brunocatmon How do the clothes feel? Maybe you are going down in cm with the exercise. I bet your arms will be sore after the boxercise!😬

If you can’t get hold of your GP then you haven’t got a choice, you’ll have to contact your provider. Did you tell the dr receptionist that you’re concerned it’s pancreatitis? You’d think they’d get you straight in!

How annoying for you, hope you get some answers soon

Crunchymum · 13/05/2025 14:57

Wowser ladies (and gents!) we are seeing some excellent losses.

I hope it doesn't demotivate anyone who isn't losing "as much" though.

I know we all want immediate results but ultimately its about the long game. We are making long term, lifestyle changes here and not looking for a quick fix.

It all counts. Every lb gone, every workout or walk or swim or run we manage, every healthy meal we have - it all matters.

dozywelshbird · 13/05/2025 15:41

some fantastic losses reported 😀well done everyone

W3D2 today and like the previous poster I find the first 3 days after jab are almost fasting days, I have been making myself east to around 8/900cals but now I'm thinking longer term and whether at the end of this I transition into 5:2 and use this mounjaro experience to get me back in the swing of fasting? something to think about

Its my birthday on Thursday so I'm expecting cake, some fizz and then a meal out on the weekend, so this will be an interesting week to navigate - wish me luck!!

dozywelshbird · 13/05/2025 15:50

'eat' not east 🙄

PoisonIvy89 · 13/05/2025 16:13

@Coventree yes when it did eventually start to work it was a much milder effect than usual

Great losses!!! @YippeeAbsentmindedly @Undecided2025 @Chunkysewist @MsRicoletti

@Brunocatmon I got food poisoning from lettuce once. The fruits and salad are supposed to make us healthier, not sick ffs. Might be safer to stick to pizza 😫

@MsRicoletti I've noticed that too, I usually get some bad headaches when cutting down on sugar or caffeine, this time it's been so much easier

@dozywelshbird good luck and happy almost birthday!

No the receptionist wasn't one bit interested. I won't be taking my next dose on Thursday unless I get to speak to someone.
