I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

Following 2.5 on Friday plus 2.5 yesterday, the suppression effect is very strong for me now much like when i started on 2.5 . Only managed a few spoonfuls of protein yoghurt, coffee and OJ. Weird dreams again like when i started 2.5 but otherwise feeling fine. 🤞

Chunkysewist · 12/05/2025 10:26

Well done on the losses! @dozywelshbird @AdotHam

@dozywelshbird I bought some 1ml syringes and a set of 4mm needles that lock into the syringes from ukmedi ❤️

Chunkysewist · 12/05/2025 10:27

@ymemanresu do you think you'll continue to do 2 x 2.5mg or will you go to 5mg?

Beachbabes · 12/05/2025 10:52

ymemanresu · 12/05/2025 09:43

I agree 😁

I agree! I don't know how you keep up, I want to reply to everyone but just don't have the time. You are all doing great, and a big help to me, so supportive 😍

I will see how i feel on jab day ( Sunday) Will consider 3.75 mg. I haven’t followed the rules and dosed up a week early. I think if i’d gone straight to 5mg from 2.5mg after 3 weeks it definitely would have been too high maybe not so after 4 weeks.,

coffeelover69 · 12/05/2025 11:39

Hi everyone, not posted in a while but have been reading when I can and so lovely to hear everybody's updates and wins! Last 2.5mg jab for me tomorrow, then planning on "golden dose" the week after - just ordered my syringes from UKmedi.

Thank you for the "secret jabbers" article - a good read.

Did a little early weigh-in this morning because I've had a busy weekend and the wine intake definitely increased compared to previous weekends😫 but pleased to see still on track:

SW - 14.1
CW - 13.3
11lb loss in 3 weeks - so very happy with this 😍
I have a weekend away with the girls next weekend but I am planning on trying to forget about MJ and just enjoy myself (if possible)
Another thank you to @wlinewbie0425 xx

Wow this thread moves so quickly!

It's W3D3 for me. So far I've had only very mild side effects on the day of and day after jab (nausea, heartburn and fatigue) and my suppression is pretty good even towards the end of the week, BUT I've been off work for a few days and tend to eat less when I'm not working as I'm less stressed so it will be interesting to see how I get on back at work. As an emotional eater, I am LOVING the lack of food noise!

I'm fasting alongside MJ. This is something I've done in the past with good results although less so since I hit perimenopause. The fasting is happening naturally due to the suppression so not something I'm forcing. I don't calorie count because I don't want to become obsessed with food (past personal experience) but I'm definitely in a deficit. I've lost 7lbs (6lbs in first week) so far which is great but I'm wondering if the fasting is actually hindering the process. I'm eating significantly less than pre-MJ so I would expect the loss to be bigger based on what I know of how my body usually responds. Anyone else finding this?

Beachbabes · 12/05/2025 12:31

dozywelshbird · 12/05/2025 09:26

morning all and well done on all the losses 😁

W3D1 for me, just about to jab, 1lb off this week which means 7lb in 2 weeks, slower than others but I'm happy with that as its also TOTM

Shame to hear about extra dose difficulties, when people say they will use syringe to extract and inject, what have you bought to do this?

I'm thinking I'll move up to 5mg, need to order pen end of this week, I have one friend telling me not to as if I'm loosing on 2.5 I should stay at it, and another friend who went up every month and is now on 15mg - tbh, neither of their losses have been amazing, it has been very slow and steady for both - from reading the thread it looks like most people stay on 2.5mg but i'm worried it'll stop being so effective part way through the month?

Argh, decisions......

@dozywelshbird I am the same, I have to make the decision tomorrow. I have my first monthly check in with my GP, its a week early due to holidays this weekend. I don't think the suppression is as strong as week 1 or most of week 2. I really don't want to get another 2.5ml and have 5 weeks wishing I went to 5ml. Hard to know what to do. I will see what she says tomorrow I suppose. I will let you know.

Is anyone on here also on HRT? The oestrogel and progesterone tablets snd been given any medical advice ?

Im reading that Mounjaro can lower the absorption of the progesterone and i have noticed a change in mood since being on the days of taking the progesterone.

I was trialling HRT patches before starting MJ but decided not to continue , as wasn’t seeing massive difference in my peri symptoms (looking back I think a fair few of my peri symptoms were made worse by being overweight) and didn’t want to do patches alongside adding MJ… just personal preference.

Yes, I am on HRT patches. I have had a little spotting this last week, not a full blown period but am being checked out as I am definitely post-menopausal and it is a red flag symptom, however, on doing reseach it is a common side-effect of MJ - something to do with hormones absorption? 🤔

Thriftygal · 12/05/2025 14:23

I've loved reading everyone's updates. Ive just done my 3rd jab and am 6lbs down so far. I can comfortable eat meals but have no desire for sweet treats or snacks. I was quite a bit more hungry last week but it was my time of the month so it could be due to that.

Ive ordered my next pen and am cautiously going to try 5mg. Ive not had any bad side effects yet other than feeling cold in the evening but realise that titrating up may change things. I take a multi vit, collagen, psyllium husk capsules and a peppermint oil capsule daily and they all seem to be helping. I am hoping to stay on 5mg without going higher over the next few month but we shall see.

LordJohnGrey · 12/05/2025 15:05

I'm on w2d5 and not having any side effects at all apart from i cant stand coffee, only drank 1 or 2 cups a day anyway so not missing it.

Only going to the loo once a week but as I was only going 2/3 times a week normally I'm not to worried. Taking lots of roughage so not difficult.

Will be going up to 5mg and hopefully staying there for a while as its day 5/6 before I start thinking about food although I'm not hungry so can just ignore it. Did think about doing another week on 2.5, but in the end decided to go up one.

Have lost 9.5lbs so far so am pleased with that.

@ymemanresu I am on HRT spray called Lenzetto, couple of pumps onto the forearm daily and its absorbed into the skin in a minute or so. I haven't noticed any difference, I'll check with my GP tomorrow and let you know what she says.

TeatimeForTheSoul · 12/05/2025 15:22

@ymemanresu I'm on gel, coil for progesterone & testosterone. Newly on coil due to spotting. Coil didn't improve it and in last week have noticed increase in spotting. Interesting it may be due to mounjaro.

Nearlyhadenough · 12/05/2025 15:26

Chunkysewist · 12/05/2025 07:22

@Nearlyhadenough
I bought the powdered one as my mum apparently tried everything and found this worked amazing. It's on amazon, it's 'NKDLiving psyllium husk natural soluble fibre'. I put 7-9g of powder in a glass with a good amount of water that I can chug without stopping. I measure the powder, add the water, briefly whisk it with a mini whisk and chug it in one quickly before it thickens. It tastes like wet mud, I sometimes hold my nose to drink it and wash it down with some squash straight away ❤️

Ah, thanks! There’s just so many…. I’ll take a look and get some 😊

PoisonIvy89 · 12/05/2025 16:35

I've forgotten who mentioned pinching fat to inject, I haven't done that as I have loads of it and I think it might be more of a thinner person thing to pinch the fat to make sure you have a fatty bit but I could be wrong, but I did see a tip to use a hair claw clip to pinch the skin if you are struggling with the not enough hands thing.

well done on all the great losses !!!

Yorkshiregirl10 · 12/05/2025 17:59

Has anyone taken the golden dose yet who could say how easy or difficult they found it please?
Quite keen to give it a go due to the coat of MJ but I'm not a fan of needles at the best of times. Whilst the pen is a bit stiff to inject, I can do it without really looking at the needle.

Nearlyhadenough · 12/05/2025 18:46

Not sure if it’s MJ related or not but I had a migraine today for the first time in ages. I used to have them regularly and badly and still take a preventative medication.

I had to leave work early as looking at a keyboard and screen was not great. I had a real craving for sweet tea! I did have a cup, not sure if it helped….

Did my jab as usual just now as feeling a bit better. Losing 2.5 lb this morning taking me to 10lb in 2 weeks, which I am more than happy with.

Sunshineandpool · 12/05/2025 18:55

Just to report back I survived my Zumba class! It was really good fun, actually.

Also wanted to make people aware as I didn't know that mounjaro can cause skin to be sensitive to the sun. I sat out in the sun for a couple of hours in my swimming costume. When I got changed my breasts (that were covered by my costume) were bright red!

Catherhino · 12/05/2025 18:56

@MsRicoletti another one adding thanks for your scientific experiment re “the golden dose”! I won’t be forcing the pen but I don’t want to waste the remains so I’ll be purchasing needles & syringe and doing it that way!

Undecided2025 · 12/05/2025 18:59

W3 D2 and 9.5lbs down. Can feel the loss in my face and round my middle as well. I’m going to reorder as 5mg and also order some of the diabetic needles if anyone can tell me where they got theirs from?

BudgieMom · 12/05/2025 19:03

W2D5 lost 1.5lbs this week so that's 9 in 2 weeks chuffed with that! Ordered my 5mg pen from medexpress today incase there's any delays. Hope everyone is having a great week 😊
