I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

@coffeelover69 im like that today! Jab number 3 this morning and I feel like I'm waiting for it to kick in?! Maybe by the morning we'll feel more suppression?

Hope so @Chunkysewist😭

PeachSnail · 06/05/2025 19:47

I did jab no. 3 this morning and I'm now starting to get the familiar woozy/mild nausea feeling and a few lovely burps! To be honest, it feels consistent with what I experienced in the past 2 weeks. These effects tend to build and feel stronger on day 2-3 for me.

Yes! Since the weather change I've been the same. W2D4 too!

Lit the fire yesterday so definitely feeling the cold 🥶

Back thinking I must not have injected my dose on Saturday morning , no side effects this week, no suppression really, sting good sized normal portions and not feeling full like last week, also some food noise back - today i mindlessly ate quite a few snacks!! My period is due today/ tomorrow so could it be that?! The Shotsy app says I’ve the same level today as I had at my highest last week when I could barely stand sight of food?! Weird… wonder will this be me for rest of the time on 2.5ml?! If so I’ll be going to 5mg next pen!
anyone else has first dose really strongk I’m effects and second not?!

I had my third dose of 2.5 last night and honestly it hasn't felt like I injected at all. The first 2 weeks I was uninterested in food and really easily sticking to my limits but this seems to have gone now. I am getting more certain that 5mg is what I need the sooner the better!!

AdotHam · 06/05/2025 19:54

@coffeelover69 and @Chunkysewist am completely in the same boat. Jab 3 doesn't seem to have done anything!

Chunkysewist · 06/05/2025 20:01

Strange how it's been the same for all 3 of us. At least we aren't alone. I'm really glad I went for the 5mg pen now. Even if I taper up the dose using 3.75 for a week or 2.

LuckyPlant · 06/05/2025 20:04

Hi all, just checking in. Weight loss going well I think. No real side effects apart from sleeping really badly on the two occasions that I've had a few glasses of wine. Don't know if this is common? Otherwise pretty much full suppression of food noise. Tempted to do another pen at 2.5 as not convinced I need to move up. But worried it might start to wear off? Are most of the rest of us moving up to 5?

I’ll be going up to 5. It’s W2D5 and I’m so hungry! Thankfully I have enough stubbornness to stop me heading to the shops but it’s tough today and I’ve had at least 1600 calls and a decent amount of protein. I ate too lightly at the weekend so maybe it’s just caught up with me.

PoisonIvy89 · 06/05/2025 20:08

@Crikeyalmighty thank you for the info about the pen locking, that's helpful to know. I have purchased the syringes to do the 5th dose in case the pen doesn't work but I don't know yet if I'll be able to do it that way, the pen and plunger button kind of make it a bit easier and it doesn't so much feel like a real injection

@Brunocatmon that sounds really awful, I hope it passes for you soon

@violetmondays that's a great idea, I haven't yet started adding in exercise but I hope to find some motivation for that soon. I like the idea of having a robot personal trainer.

@Crunchymum I had a few days of being absolutely freezing and they were very warm weather days but it seems to have worn off now

@MsRicoletti "I’ve decided that losing 1 lb without feeling hungry even once all week is better than my previous way of losing weight… which was slooooow and draining, and I’d be starving all week and obsessing about food every waking second and be lucky to lose a single pound… So this way is better by far!"
Omg yes exactly this 1000%!!!
Hugs for the disappointment but also well done you lost a lb! That's not nothing and it's not a gain, I know it's so disappointing when it's not as much as you wanted and I'm sad that it made you cry but you are losing weight, those numbers are moving in the right direction. I have so many times previously let that diappointment take over and given up trying but we have this great tool to help us now! This week I have stuck to my calorie deficit and not snacked or binged or eaten stuff I didn't need and I hope to see that reflected on the scale but if not at least I have not been starving hungry with food noise screaming at me to eat all the things immediately. Previous diets have felt like actual torture so to then not see good results after suffering all week was so heartbreaking. Of course we will be super happy any weeks that we have a good loss but on those weeks when we don't, which will happen because they always do, it hopefully won't be such a crushing blow because we haven't suffered like we did before. It's w1d6 for me and so far I'm seeing only a lb gone, I hope it'll be more by weigh in day but if not, that's ok.
*I reserve the right to take all this back and cry and stamp my feet on weigh in day

This is interesting and this thread is so helpful to see similar patterns. After feeling quite certain I would stay at 2.5 for as long as possible I think I'm now leaning towards ordering the 5 so at least I have the option. If I don't need it that's great, but if we order the smaller one and then wish we had moved up we're stuck for the next month

Crikeyalmighty · 06/05/2025 20:15

@PoisonIvy89 I totally know what you mean about the pen and plunger

catchingzzzeds · 06/05/2025 20:17

@StartingApril2025@AdotHam@Chunkysewist@coffeelover69 same here! It’s so strange! Week 1 I had great suppression within a few hours of jabbing and it lasted pretty much all week, I’m now W2D5 and I’ve had no suppression at all this week 🤔
I had hoped to stay on 2.5mg but I can’t see that happening now. Ho hum I know 2.5 isn’t supposed to actually do anything so I guess we were lucky last week.

PoisonIvy89 · 06/05/2025 20:22

Crikeyalmighty · 06/05/2025 20:15

@PoisonIvy89 I totally know what you mean about the pen and plunger

it kinda feels like just an epi pen or something, you know vital life saving medicine... when the syringes arrived they made me feel very weird and like I shouldn't be doing this

Chunkysewist · 06/05/2025 20:22

@catchingzzzeds its so weird. I had a great amount of suppression for the first 2 weeks but now it's like not much is happening 🤷 if its the same on jab 4 I'll forget about doing the 5th dose this time and just start my new pen.

catchingzzzeds · 06/05/2025 20:28

@Chunkysewist sounds like a plan, it’s going to be a long couple of weeks if jabs 3 and 4 are the same as this week 🙄

Chunkysewist · 06/05/2025 20:36

@catchingzzzeds definitely will be hard, we'll have to dig deep for some extra will power to get us through ❤️

This is pretty much the same for me. Felt fine day after the jab and its 2 & 3 when I feel it the most.

After a day of dehydrating and eating a bit more, the sickness has gone to be replaced by what I think is DHs awful cold!

I've got a really busy week so I'll power through and try and rest at the weekend.

We’ve got this 💪🏼

ymemanresu · 06/05/2025 21:00

@MsRicolettisorry you’re feeling low, hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow xx Same here as with others, really cold, suppression has dropped massively and looking forward to the next jab. Definitely ordering the 5mg

Hawkmoth · 06/05/2025 21:46

Just as much adrenaline for 3rd jab as for the 1st. I feel like a bit of a softarse.

wlinewbie0425 · 07/05/2025 06:53

Good morning everyone. Weigh in day for me and delighted to have lost 3lb. I should be jabbing today but delaying 24h due to work thing tomorrow - can’t risk the side effects. More important than the scale, stomach is looking different. Face I think a bit too, less puffy and bloated. Still a long way to go but feeling really positive.

SW 13st 13lb
CW 13st 3lb
GW 10st 7lb

wishing everyone a side effect and food noise free Wednesday.

Well done @wlinewbie0425 that’s great, and great that you’re seeing visible signs of progress too! What week are you on now?

Due to take 3rd injection. My W2D2 side effects were grim so having to wait a day so it doesn’t affect work. Willpower day today and tomorrow morning! But that’s ok as I don’t want to undo progress which is plenty motivation. Will focus on lots of nutrition in case I have a day of not being able to eat much again.

Catherhino · 07/05/2025 07:14

@wlinewbie0425 you’re doing so well! Sorry your SEs are grim; you’re definitely doing the right thing by postponing a day. Progress is a great motivator! My 3rd jab tomorrow too.

wlinewbie0425 · 07/05/2025 07:21

Thanks @Catherhinowe can commiserate feeling crappy on Friday together 😂
