And doc martens too? @Blondeshavemorefun i do save them, if they are in the bath I'll hang a towel over so it can get out as long as it promises to go out the window haha. Big ones need evicted especially if they run fast. Jenny long legs are horrible, I know they do good in their short life span but they can flipping do it out my house!
God I wouldn't have thought a spring onions was fatal to a hamster ffs 😂 I'm imagining your horror at a dead rodent and having to replace it.
I love a runny 🥚 🐣 🍳

The finish line is nearly there @Weepixie then it's harder 😂 this is when I feck it up. You're a wee comic, getting escorted out but I'd shit myself with that too.

@owlyboo I remember washing my jeans at high temps and tumble drying them to get them super tight haha. Wonder bras were the norm 🙄 before that i loved my leg warmers ahhhh those were the days.

I'm actually more worried about the scorpions 🦂

My belly has gone down a lot. I promise I'll never mention bread again haha.

@Azuresky68 I've just seen that on the group but haven't read it yet. How is your mouth today?

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 11:03

Good morning! Thanks for the advice re tooth. I ended up with Greek yoghurt and honey then later on I had mashed potato with butter and a bit of parmesan cheese...well under my calories but way over carbs. This morning it was Greek yoghurt wirh weetabix plus collagen powder. It's survival not enjoyment with food at the moment! @NippyNinjaCrab glad your belly isn't busted with bread now..BBB!! @Weepixie well done on losing while on holiday! Going down nicely to the next level 👌 @weaselyeyes thanks for advice re antibiotics too. @Blondeshavemorefun I have started listing my stuff on Vinted and sold something within minutes...not surprised really as it was a Next top in size 12 from last year and I paid about £30 for it..sold it for £2. I live 10 minutes walk from the Post Office so easy to to post. Decided to try and sell a load of stuff but like you I can't say it's worth the bother! Main tips I have found by research for selling on Vinted is try and upload a few items every day. So I will upload all mine at once but switch most on holiday mode then take 5 off holiday mode a day! Other advice is to list stuff at the weekend but it's Wednesday today! Also to put key words in description so it's picked up by search engine. So for each item I am adding the following: Having a big wardrobe clearout so priced to sell! From a pet and smoke free home. Many items only worn a few times. Lots of basics for a capsule wardrobe. Casual and smart items.
Probably not worth the bother though! Glad you got some money for your vest tops. You can really see the difference in size!

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 11:08

@NippyNinjaCrab thanks for asking about my tooth...just hoping anti-biotics will save it 👍 Have you got any tips on selling on Vinted? All my clothes are bog standard Next, Wallis etc. No designer items. A lot of them are from when I was tour manager abroad and had to look smart with a jacket and dressy evening clothes. Now I live in shorts!!

NippyNinjaCrab · 07/05/2025 11:14

@Azuresky68 I do the same as you too, and lots of photos, if an item has one photo I scroll by. I also check the reviews if less than the 5 stars to see why. I donated a lot of clothes when MIL died as I couldn't be arsed with selling. In hindsight I wish I had stored them and sold later. I don't have any designer items now, younger yes, even when working FT I just wore a suit and markies t shirts, that's when they were good quality though. I drove a lot for my job so had to be comfortable. I'm glad your mouth is better.

I can't remember who said about cabin crew having more regular checks on teeth but I didn't know that x

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 11:17

Well well well...I have just sold another Next top that xmcost me £35 last year when I weighed 11 stone and was feeling really low. Funny thing is it's a size 10!! Sold it for £2.50. Now I have sold 2 things in half an hour! Glad to get those 2 reminders of feeling so low about my weight out of my life. Also i find it so much easier and nicer to find clothes that i feel good in without having to spend lots of money. @Blondeshavemorefunthat £4.50 in Vinted sales will go towards a strapless dress!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 11:18

It’s awful isn’t it. Spending £20/30 on stuff new and selling it for £2

That was me. I’m a mum and mum in law to pilots.

poppym12 · 07/05/2025 13:47

Ideas please.
I travel home on Saturday. My pen is nice and cool on the fridge in my room.

On the way out I used the ice packs that came with the case but obviously they're now defrosted and therefore liquid. Liquids on the way back still have to be 'old rules' as the airport doesn't have the new scanners yet.

I can put the melted ice blocks in my case but how do I keep the pen cold in my hand luggage? I don't want to keep it at room temperature because I want to get the full 30 days use.

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 13:59

@poppym12 could you ask the hotel to freeze them for you?

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 14:00

@poppym12 how have you kept the pen cool on holiday?

poppym12 · 07/05/2025 14:00

@poppym12 could you ask the hotel to freeze them for you?

Why didn't I think of that?! 😂 I know quite a few of the staff well so I'll ask.

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 14:00

@poppym12 how have you kept the pen cool on holiday?

The in room fridge is cold, not the usual 2° cooler than the room.

NippyNinjaCrab · 06/05/2025 20:25

Oh DH is in the bad books!! We were having a joke about and he said shut it wee pancake arse! Because he knows I'm annoyed at my arse! So I gave him a wee punch and he was buckled and said oh its more like a wrinkly McCoys crisp!
Guess who's filing all that away for future ammo haha xxx

Ps he's kidding on btw

Edited

Oh don't. I'm looking very trim in my bikini until I turn sideways and am confronted by my flat (but also somehow crinkly) arse.

Have come to the conclusion that I now have the figure of a 13 year old boy who's had breast implants (am a 32F). Sigh.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 14:37

@poppym12if you have used /opened pen then it’s fine to have on temp

i don’t keep mine in the fridge once opened

@Arraminta and @NippyNinjaCrab I have a flat floppy saggy bum

i can’t imagine ever showing it to a man again 🙀😢

F @Arraminta wow. I don’t R.E.M. seeing big boobs on you or have you not done a pic - can’t R.E.M. who hasn’t on here - we are getting braver

Not a freezing compartment in fridge?

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 17:22

A not friend told me that my face looked gaunt and that losing weight was showing up my wrinkles Shock I replied that it wasn't about weight loss to be thin, it was about diet, blood pressure and heart health - all of which were a risk to my life and longevity if I didn't sort them out. That shut her up!

Azuresky68 · 07/05/2025 17:29

Vinted update! I have spent ages photographing my stuff as there's loads of it. Going to upload a few every day now. Really questioning the amount of effort it has taken and I will probably make £2.50 an item but 20 items will give me £50....that's a Ryanair flight somewhere 🤔 or less tham I give my hairdresser Smile every 6 weeks!

Well done! How rude of them to say that..are they an ex friend now? Keeping doing what you are doing 💯 👌 ✨️ 👏

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 17:33

In 8.5 months I've gone from buying oversized men's jumpers (to disguise my weight) to daring to buy this bright red midi dress I got it in a size 12!! Of course I don't look like the skinny model (will post a photo of me wearing it, if I can) but what an amazing difference. I can imagine myself floating elegantly in the evening sunshine hoping that no-one ever takes a photo of the dumpy elderly woman-in-red stomping along the prom

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 18:08

@Blondeshavemorefun I know you hate your hips and thighs, but that is a much healthier shape than the short round apple blob that some of us are. I now have slender legs that you might be envious of, but I think my heart would prefer your shape.

@NippyNinjaCrab Mexico is faantastic - go and see some of the mayan temples. Enjoy some tequila! But shake your shoes out in the morning to make sure there are no lurking scorpions!

20bloodypounds · 07/05/2025 18:10

Now 0.3kg from 'normal' BMI. I'm with Oushk. How do I book a maintenance call with Hira? I can't see any easy way on the site, but I'm probably missing something obvious.

Not a freezing compartment in fridge?

No, it's just a little 'mini bar' fridge
