This is our 9th month , going to 10th - gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly

some are at goal - and working out maintenance

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped and blowing baby dust your way

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives 💖

just had 2 parents say to me at dd swim class that I look amazing and lost soooooooo much weight

they’ve noticed I’ve been shrinking over the months and now in summer stuff it’s really noticeable and not jumpers /coats

it’s nice when others say it - I do know I’ve lost weight obviously but sometimes don’t reliese it iyswim

I don't get it....today I have wanted to eat crappy food...lunch was a cherry bakewell loaf, tea was a greggs cheese and onion bake...stayed within 1100 cals. I think it's for comfort as I am in a lot of pain with my back at the moment. Now drinking a bottle of Madri lager so will be over my limit now 🙃 it's almost like now I have got to my goal I want to self sabotage 😨

tho yabvu to want to eat one 😂 as they are rank but I don’t like marzipan so …..

your 1100 is that maintaining ? So you can eat a little extra or have the odd treat now at goal

Im on it daily because of the hernia I have that was a result of surgery I had. But this week it’s been horrendous and I had to take 40mg daily of Nexium instead of 20mg. Anyway, I see the surgeons tomorrow and hopefully will get surgery soon. And just to be on the safe side I’ve reduced my dose to 11 today.

And as for your breakfast yeh wee gannet!!!!!

It’s okay to have these things and it just looks a lot because you had it in one day. But it’s also okay to have them in one day as long as it’s occasionally and it’s within your allowance. You could even have one of them daily but that wouldn’t be good nutrition and it would certainly be a waste of food calories.

And when I look at what you had it makes me wonder how you’re eating/drinking was in the few days leading up to it? Maybe looking at that could give you an idea as to why you are those things?

@Weepixiethanks for your reassurance. Saturday was the wedding with very carby food and a few drinks. Sunday and Monday were 'good' days in that it was high protein and low carbs x

@Blondeshavemorefun I am still wavering a bit on goal of 8 stone 7 pounds and 8 stone 9 pounds so not yet at a steady maintenance. My maintenance calories are 1375 a day but looking at it as an average over 7 days..so trying to stick to around 1000 5 days a week to allow for treat days...still on a learning curve right now 😊

By wavering I mean some days I am higher weight than others which I think is normal ..as long as I don't go more than 2 pounds over my goal weight of 8 stone 7 pounds I am OK with that.

Blinks are you bulking your meals out with things that will give you satisfaction of chewing for longer as well as pleasing your eyes and your mind. I only ask, and this is by no means a criticism but you posted a meal you had the other day, it was lettuce, a few bits of diced pepper, some cucumber, a bit of grated carrot, some chicken and I think it had a few splodges of mayo. I thought it was really sparse then and it must be worse even now.

could you consider adding more vegetables to your salads and chop them a bit bigger so you have to chew them well to digest - the chewing helps all the things our body needs to do to release the hormones our body needs to send the signals to us that we’re full. And could you try adding way more to your salad than what was in the picture, you can even add a few toasted nuts and if you made a home made French dressing for it, it would be healthier than mayo but most of all you’d get better nutrition and all the changes would definitely make you feel satisfied for longer.

This is a link to rainbow salad bowls which is what we should all be trying to achieve for good health when it comes to fruit and veg but the pictures show what I think would help you on making tenancy. And of course you’d still add your protein and dressing on top of the basic salad bowl.

I hope Ive not overstepped the mark with this and that I’ve not got the wrong end of the stick with your salad picture.

@morbidcuriosity I love should have done 12.5 but getting to end of budget esp with having to pay for divorce and high doses are so blood costly so hoped I could get to 7.5/10 and do a few months there

I did do maybe 3 hrs of gardening yesterday which isn’t like me lol but had to be done and maybe that burned into my cals

I don’t use exercise cals as usually only do boot camp once a week

I just seem to notice Wed /thur I’m more hungry - I’m in my cals so maybe should have just eaten a boiled egg/100g of chicken etx

just waiting for my ommlette to cook for breakie - it’s stuffed with pepper onions and then cheese and ham. 2 eggs

Ah I see.. think I should go have a proper catch up on our lovely thread.. I've been slacking at keeping up to date here. Lol..
I reckon after a few 10s you might be alright..
I took my bonus dose of 10 last shot and worked out to be 12.5.. but my next pen is a 10.
But I also have a stray 5mg still in the fridge dated November, thinking of using that as a top up instead of buying a 12.5.

this is the salad I mentioned and what I thought was mayo was light shining on the chicken and my poor eyesight. and the carrot - I’ve no idea what the wee strip of something I can see is but I thought it was carrot.

I still think though that could get way more satisfaction and feel full longer from a salad even for an extra 50 calories if you add more to it and chop it all up a bit bigger. We need to chew to and anything that’s relatively easy to go down isn’t the best thing for us.

Hi everyone. Good luck with losses and maintenance. I won't be weighing for 3 weeks as I am away again. Having hit my goal I have since weighed in again and weight shot up due to alcohol and carbs over last weekend. It's a relief to have the security of MJ for the new journey of maintenance.

@Blondeshavemorefun are you able to increase your calories now you are on maintenance? Agree with @Weepixie that bulking out all meals with vegetables is good. If eating ready meals I always add broccoli, spinach or green beans (keep bags of frozen in my freezer) mushrooms and tomatoes good for breakfast. Your omelette sounds great 👍

I think when we have, or had days in the past when we ate like you did the other day, that if quite often comes after a few days of not being as mindful about our meals as we could be. I know now there are certain things I can never have, or do again, because if I do it will just trigger a whole lot more poor choices. And quite often it would feel to me as if my body was screaming eat it, eat it. It’s like when people would say oh if you start eating McDonalds (I don’t) you’ll end up addicted to it and I’m believe that if we do have a few days of processed foods for eg then out body does go on to crave them.

I’ve always said I don’t get the huge suppression that many do
