@Blondeshavemorefun loving the dress! I still want to order a strapless dress. I haven't ordered from the eBay link you sent yet as i couldnt decide on the colour . Is the Temu one soft material? Would you mind sending the link please? Thanks 👍 😊

owlyboo · 06/05/2025 13:46

Yay glad it fits @Blondeshavemorefun

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2025 14:19

Yes it’s soft. I just put in strapless dresses in the search bar and lots of them. But this is this one

Me too @owlyboo I was. A little worried when you said sizes come up small but seem ok

i may try ordering a 10 in sone styles of dresses as 12-14 can be baggy depending on the style

Helloooo, ahhhh see!! You're not a fat fuck lol, i always laugh when you say that, you're now a wee skinny fuck 😂 🤣

I think I'll always be a 12-14 on bottoms because of my fluctuating dodgy belly, I moan ALL the time on here about bloody bread... and i go and eat it again ffs! Urgh that's me! No more! It's nice healthy bread, just not for ma wee belly. I look pregnant today, so swollen, I was walking round the supermarket with my hand on it unconscious of doing that, folk will think I'm a wee old mammy to be 😄😄. I have this old favourite sundress it's from Tesco and very forgiving, I put it on today and DH said omg ffs will you PLEASE go and get a couple of cheap dresses to potter in haha. So the dress is washed and I'll pop it on Vinted. Sold another 2 things over the weekend. Friday seems to be a good time to sell things. I've said to DH no more nonsense with snacks and chocolate, I mean him, he's piling on the weight on his belly and his holiday stuff will be girded on him! It's worrying because that fat is round his heart and other organs. He doesn't drink alcohol just snacks bowls of crisps, dips and nuts. Chocolate is a big bar.
I've jabbed 2mg and might have to up it to stop the temptation to eat because the treats are there. Seeing how I am when he's here, I could be on MJ for months yet until I get a stable run of maintenance.
Sorry for the babble. Xxx

owlyboo · 06/05/2025 15:00

Yeah sorry to have scared you! To be fair I’ve only really brought off there for my dd and she’s ordering tiny, ridiculously short denim skirts. Everything super fitted so I always buy her her an 8 rather than a 6 in the home it covers slightly more 😂

Azuresky68 · 06/05/2025 15:20

@NippyNinjaCrab enjoying the babble! Definitely buy a couple of dresses tobtreat yourself! I am hoping to sell a load of size 12 clothes on Vinted. All washed and ready to go but I never have much luck. After all my health worries I had to go for emergency dental appointment just now...an infection under a tooth. Got to take antibiotics. There's nothing I fancy to eat or can easily eat. Thinking I might just get some nice flavoured yoghurt instead of resorting to a packet of jaffa cakes (defaulting to easy to eat comfort food) I usually have plain Greek yoghurt but don't fancy that right now. Or maybe I could add honey to it...even though honey is just sugar!! Any ideas welcome xx Just need some comfort food.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2025 16:11

@NippyNinjaCrab I was a fat fuck. Some of the pictures of me I am omfg now

but at the time I knew I was big - but just not that fat. And looking back the pics show me as very very fat !! 😳😳

I’m not now. But I’m not a sklinky minky yet

I’m getting there.

It’s my thighs - and jeans

I was a 12 once. I have 14 that I can’t fit into so I know I still need to lose those 10lbs and get into them and be 11s ideally

sorry bread doesn’t agree with you @NippyNinjaCrab

sorry to hear About toothache @Azuresky68. Not sure what to suggest to eat. Sometimes you want comfort food - yogurt isn’t comfort food

What do you put things up for on Vinted when I looked they all seem to be £1/2/3

Doesn’t seem worth the bother

tho. Trumpet sound

I’ve sold something well 8 things on Vinted !!!

I got rid of my strappy tops as they are huge on me. Think I posted a pic of diff

so did 8 in diff colours for £10 and got bought at once / was amazed !!
But then it’s £1.25 a top. They were I think £7/8 each ffs

I’m laughing at that because it’s only recently one of my son in laws gave my granddaughter money to go and buy some new trousers that fitted. 🤣

Weepixie · 06/05/2025 17:22

@Azuresky68 nothing cold like yoghurt because if it touches your tooth you’ll go go through the roof in pain. Just try something blood temperature, even mash potato’s and gravy - but I’d add a slice of really thin corned beef as well. The kind you buy in the packet.

I hope you feel better soon - oh and did you know, as a very frequent flyer, that air crew have to be extra attentive when it comes to looking after their teeth because of how flying can aggravate dental issues as well as make dental pain worse. I know because some of my lot are flight deck crew and they can be very focused on dental care and prevention.

weaselyeyes · 06/05/2025 17:29

Antibiotics really kill off your gut microbiome @Azuresky68 so this would actually be a good time for live yoghurt, if you can face it! As ever, though, I am reminded that I am in a food minority most of the time on this thread 😀

NippyNinjaCrab · 06/05/2025 18:00

Ooooh @Weepixie I love love corned beef, wee new tatties, cibies and beans yummmmm. How about some lush roce pudding @Azuresky68.
@owlyboo I'm laughing at the cover up skill, did we ever go out with virtually no clothing on? 🤣
@Blondeshavemorefun i think it's a hit or miss with Vinted. I had a lovely Next top that just didn't sell, it had a couple of views and just no interest. I was fed up with it lying about so binned it. That's fab your wee tops sold yay.
I'm waiting on the Ebay dresses arriving that you recommended B.
I got a couple of dresses in the sale, not really what I wanted but they had no size 12 in larger looking sizes and no 14 in ones I thought looked a bit neat. At least I got a couple to bomb about in.
I bought a swimsuit and a dress off Vinted that looked lovely and they arrived and I hated the dress on, and I didn't try the swimsuit on cos the back was very low and strappy. I've sold them again.
It's the same old story that people just want things for chuff all!
I've ordered a new suitcase and it's coming Friday, I've got most things organised apart from a couple of more toiletries and my own meds. Yipeeee.
I joined a group on FB for the hotel and ffs the size of the spiders are freaky! It's in the jungle so I need to be prepared lol. Xx

Weepixie · 06/05/2025 18:22

@NippyNinjaCrab 🤣🤣. For the 4 days I was at home in Wales last week I may have had new tatties, beans, sliced corned beef and gravy for my dinner everyday. It was no hardship because I can only get tinned corned beef here at home and it’s the sliced stuff I like except on a toastie, that has to be a lump of it out of a time. I kept my real vegetables for tea time to go with the huge turkey thigh I bought in Tesco’s that fed me like a queen with more tatties and gravy for 3 days.

I love leftovers and because didn’t want to put lots of food in the bin when I was leaving I decided to stick to the same menus on repeat the days I was there.

Scotland was a different story but I did have mince every house I went to - mince on a roll, mince and white pudding, mince on a peh, mince on a piece, just mince mince and mair mince. I love that as well and there’s just something about a Scottish wifie and her mince that I can never replicate here at home.

Rice pudding? I’m your woman and I had a carton of Rachael’s organic everyday with berries Instead of the Greek yoghurt I normally have everyday.

Ive forgotten what cibbies are but when you tell me what they are I’ll probably love them as well.

where are you going? It sounds lovely.

re spiders, they don’t bother me at all which is just as well because decades ago when I lived on a very isolated military camp in the desert we used to have dinner plate sized spiders come over our garden wall at night to have a drink in the wee garden pond I had made. There were loads of the them and for some reason due to a light I had in the garden it made them look as if they were glowing in the dark 🤣

Then there was the night and a big daddy of a scorpion chased me round my kitchen when I was making the tea. I say chased but It actually tactically backed/manoeuvred me into a corner with my back against my kitchen cupboards and it’s tail was up over its back to sting me when I had the sense to get up on the cupboard and that’s where I stayed till my husband dealt with it. The sting is terrible and no way was it getting me even though it was clearly planning where he wanted me so I couldn’t get away.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2025 19:09

Nothing wee about those tops @NippyNinjaCrab 😂

wtf is a cibbie?

I do love corn beef hash. Potato’s corn beef onion with a fried egg on top. Lush

blondes doesn’t do spiders 🙀🙀🙀

Spring onions or green tails as my wee late MIL called them, ahhhh I just love making mince haha. We are having corned beef tomorrow yummmm. I love when it goes warm lol, I also loce a wee bit of spam chips and egg.
I really want to make a rice pudding, with nutmeg, God sakes haha. I have been making date and walnut loaves which are fabulous 👌
Wtaf re the scorpions!!! They've been on the group too, on curtains etc. We are going to Mexico, Riviera Maya part. Ours is the only hotel of 4 in the jungle part 🤣 what was i thinking 🤔 xxx

NippyNinjaCrab · 06/05/2025 20:23

@Blondeshavemorefun i didn't know an egg was on corned beef hash. Xxx

NippyNinjaCrab · 06/05/2025 20:25

Oh DH is in the bad books!! We were having a joke about and he said shut it wee pancake arse! Because he knows I'm annoyed at my arse! So I gave him a wee punch and he was buckled and said oh its more like a wrinkly McCoys crisp!
Guess who's filing all that away for future ammo haha xxx

Ps he's kidding on btw

Honestly @Weepixie@NippyNinjaCrabthey’re itsy bitsy but as long as she’s happy 😂

and @Weepixiethat spider story is horrific… no thank you.

Weepixie · 07/05/2025 08:13

@NippyNinjaCrab yes, it’s spring onions! But my half brother who’s 10 years younger than me and who I’ve only known (and adored) for the last 13 years is the only other person Ive ever heard call them cibbies. Maybe it’s not an east coast term.

And here’s a fact about them - never give them to a hamster as a snack, not even the greenery, I may have just had to replace a grandchild’s much loved hamster after they tried it on cibbie greenery instead of lettuce.

And I’m so laughing at wee pancake arse 🤣🤣🤣

None of my granddaughters are into mini skirts, probably because of where we live, but one of them does adore her skintight jeans that look like they’ve been sprayed on.

oh to be young again 🤣

Re the spiders - they don’t bother me at all but snakes on the other hand!!!!! 🙈

in fact it’s only a couple of summers ago that I almost caused a stampede in the reptile house at London zoo when I screamed and jumped to save my life whilst shouting there’s snake on the floor - only to hear someone else shouting seconds later, it’s a hologram folks, calm down, it’s all ok.

And it was, it really was 🤣. I tell you I was marched out the building in double quick time by my daughter and grandchildren who were mortified, terrified and laughing hysterically at the same time.

Weepixie · 07/05/2025 08:39

It was injection injection day for me today and in the 17 days since I last weighed I’ve lost 600gms which is about 1lb 3 ounces. I’m happy with it as I had stalled for a week before I last weighed and I don’t know how long the stall lasted but more importantly I’m back from my holiday and I still lost weight. In London alone I was getting in about 12000 steps a day which was great going as my step mum now has to use a walking stick due to a stroke she had a year ago and my dad just had a knee replacement 8 months ago. So it was fabulous they managed all the walking they did to see what they wanted to see and I really enjoyed it as well.

oh and just another 400gms for me to officially overweight - so this time next week.

I can so see the finish line to this process in sight now.
