owlyboo · 07/05/2025 21:12

I sold loads of vinted and today donated 6 bags full of the clothes left over so no ‘fat’ clothes left a casa owlyboo!

@20bloodypoundsthat just SCREAMS jealousy as if she actually thought that and was a true friend she’d keep her awful opinions to herself. I’m really cross on your behalf. I’m sure you’ll look amazing in your new dress!

looking fab @PoemsForTea

FurForksSake · 07/05/2025 21:15

Love the new jeans!

I haven’t been in here for a week or so, have caught up but can’t remember anything specific to reply to!!

but, my arse is so flat and I think I need a tv watching cushion too. We did a six mile hilly walk on Monday and my hip went half way through. I have hyper mobility and have had two surgeries in it.

but now I can’t exercise and I feel fed up. I think I need to go back to physio and get them to help me with a plan. I want to work out but not hurt myself.

I’ve been watching videos on TikTok about lunches, today I had lean ham, a baby bel, cherry tomatoes, grapes and strawberries. It felt like lots but was only 200 calories. I’ve added cottage cheese, ryvita thins and low cal jellies to my shop as well as chicken sausages to try and keep up these lunches. It felt quite a treat and you can mix and match the fruit and veg and proteins.

im trying hard to take my supplements, my hair feels so thin so im trying to take biotin and iron amongst other bits.

weight stayed the same for a week and then I dropped 3lbs. This seems to be my pattern and now I recognise this I know that I just need to keep going and my body will sort itself out.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 21:16

Wow. Well done @PoemsForTea. 14 !!! Whoop

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 21:23

a mum said to me at school today that I look fab. She didn’t say too skinny. Unlike some. Just that I looked good and asked how much I had lost

i said just over 5.5s and she was omfg. That’s amazing. Well done. I said was really fat. She said I wasn’t. I showed her the pic and she was wow. I don’t remember you being big enough to need to lose 5.5s. I said the camera doesn’t lie

Down to 9st 7, I think goal will be 8st. I thought a size 10 and this weight would be feeling slimmer than I am. My body fat is still 37% and I can see in my tummy and thighs there is weight to go.

I was watching a film (anyone but you, silly comfort movie for me) and the actresses were wearing bikinis and it made me realise that they’d be a uk size 4 probably, or less! A size 10 isn’t what it used to be and I think that doesn’t help with what is a realistic idea of people’s size. I think I couldn’t see at all how big I had got, now when I look back it really doesn’t feel like that was me.

im definitely worrying about maintenance, trying to not chase suppression now and keep logging my food and tracking my weight. I now know I have to eat like this forever.

also, I was shocked at how much easier moving is now I’m slimmer, that feeling I hope will keep me going (when I can walk again…). It’s so much harder having a bigger body, I wanted to cover it and hide and walking or anything else felt so hard. So, before I come off the jabs I really want to fix the exercise bit. I’ve got exercise bits at home and can do it.

im still considering a walking pad but can’t choose one!

so pleased for everyone; I do find the thread helpful for my mindset, thank you for having me.

FurForksSake · 07/05/2025 21:29

@Blondeshavemorefunyou can see how well you’ve done! Your shape looks lovely, I have boob envy 😆😆

WorriedRelative · 07/05/2025 21:32

Brilliant comparison photo @BlondeshavemorefunWell done! A huge difference!

After my slightly grumpy post about not being able to get below 80kg I got on the scales the next morning and weighed 79.9kg! Of course the next day I was 80.2 again!

Suppression has been high and a busy bank holiday Monday meant I forgot to jab on Monday as usual so imagine my surprise when I weighed in at 79.2kg on Tuesday morning!

I have also been buying and selling lots on Vinted. I desperately need more space and selling clothes makes me feel happier about getting rid of stuff. Normally I struggle to say good bye, although it is easier to get rid of too big stuff than it ever was to get rid of too small stuff!

FurForksSake · 07/05/2025 21:35

ah, a sneaky scales! Well done on the new bracket!!

does anyone notice some of their clothes are now longer? I’m wearing a cardigan which I’ve had for 5-6 years (bright pink love and roses) and in my head it was always a normal length. I put it on today and it’s mid thigh or almost knee length. Definitely was wearing things I shouldn’t have been.

weaselyeyes · 07/05/2025 21:45

What an excellent reaction from school mum @Blondeshavemorefun - that's what we want! (Although I don't want anyone asking how much weight I've lost because it makes me feel fatter previously, however you can't fault her response to that!). Don't be so horrible about your past self, though. We were all doing the best we could, it was really tough being overweight, some of have had way more to lose than that and still might have a long way to go, and we're all trying really hard now. So hurrah for progress and a comforting arm round the shoulder for our past bigger selves. They all went through a lot.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 22:14

I wouldn’t have boob envy @FurForksSake. They are in a strapless bra and hoisted up

naked they look like floppy spaniels ears - they saying is true 😢

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 22:16

@WorriedRelative that’s great. Well done. You cracked under 80kg

they are prob longer as not struggling to cover the tummy or bum

less flesh so material goes further

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 07/05/2025 22:18

Mine were spaniels ears before (I have a condition apparently, immature breast tissue?). Now they are cherry tomatoes in saggy old tights. I might need to get them measured but the idea of a or AA cups is just sad to me. I now wear a lot of crop tops instead of bras at all!

WorriedRelative · 07/05/2025 22:47

My clothes are getting longer too, less lumps and bumps to get over!

WorriedRelative · 07/05/2025 22:51

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun

Not sure about all this small or deflated boobs chat, mine are still stubbornly huge. I'm going to look like a taller Dolly Parton before long! I bought a 34H and the cups were too small 😭

poppym12 · 07/05/2025 22:59

Well I feel like a big fat failure compared to all of you slender lovelies.

I've eaten like a pig this week - mainly sweeties. Holiday got off to a crappy start as as soon as I switched airplane mode off on my phone, I had a message telling me that an old friend had died unexpectedly. I hadn't seen him in a while but he was a good bloke. A bit like an older brother who looked out for me.

No excuse for being a pig though.

Anyway, 12.5 seems to be doing sod all for me apart from giving me constipation. I've only had one dose out of the pen but I'm thinking of fudging it somehow to make it up to 15mg or at least somewhere in between for the next 4 weeks.

owlyboo · 07/05/2025 23:00

Oh @poppym12im so sorry to hear that. What awful
news. Please be kind to yourself a few sweets won’t hurt Flowers

Timetochange24 · 07/05/2025 23:32

I'm so sorry about your friend @poppym12 . Normal rules don't apply when you've had such bad news. Like owlyboo says, be kind to yourself.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/05/2025 23:33

Awww @poppym12 you aren’t a failure at all. We all have bad days and eat more then We should

sorry to hear about friend dying

hope you can attend funeral

go up to 15 from it. Think you mentioned this before. Didn’t I say you needed 12 clicks

be kind to yourself

and if you gain when weight rem it will come off 💐💐

Timetochange24 · 07/05/2025 23:39

@FurForksSake I completely agree about sizes on tv making it even harder to judge our own shape and size. Dd is very tall and slim - verging on underweight - and will probably be a tall size 8. IRL she is tiny but she'd still be a couple of sizes bigger than women we see on screen and modelling etc.

poppym12 · 07/05/2025 23:47

Thank you all xx. It's not a few sweets, it's quite a lot of them most afternoons this week. I haven't been eating much of an evening meal tho so I suppose that's a plus. Nutritional value, macros etc has all gone to pot at the moment. I feel really weird about him dying, especially so suddenly. We hadn't seen each other or even spoken for ages so I've no idea why it's made me feel so shit. Mortality I suppose.

I'll start afresh tomorrow and try to put this last week's eating behind me. Onwards and upwards eh (or downwards in relation to the scales).

Thanks for the maths Blondes, I'll do a normal dose plus 12 clicks when I get back on Saturday.

Actually, if I bring my jab forward a day, is it likely to make me unwell for travelling?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/05/2025 00:26

Shouldn’t do if not usually poorly

Azuresky68 · 08/05/2025 07:55

poppym12 · 07/05/2025 18:45

No, it's just a little 'mini bar' fridge

If it's been kept cool all holiday I am sure it will be fine for travelling in the insulated case even if you don't have ice packs
