@poppym12 hope you had a lovely holiday and feeling OK about gain. Sorry that your treatment is going to be painful..sending hugs x

poppym12 · 12/05/2025 21:45

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun and @Azuresky68. I was expecting a gain as sensible eating went totally out of the window whilst I was away. I was craving sweets which I haven't done in months. Holiday itself was lovely though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/05/2025 21:54

That’s what holidays are for. To relax and enjoy

sure I will put on lbs on in aug

@poppym12 I hope it's not as bad and it works, hugs.
Yay for the loss @morbidcuriosity
I did my bonus jab today of 2.5, well hopefully it wasn't more ffs, and there were 10 clicks before the hard twist. Anyone listen to Jeremy Vine today and the WLI section, I just caught a little, might listen back actually. One woman came on and stated well I've lost nothing!! In fact I've gained!! 2 kg or something so she was asked what she was taking in regards to other meds, I take Thyroxine and I've increased it! And I'm taking 1mg of Mounjaro lol. Haha, buckled I was lol, the Dr on the section said disclaimer don't adjust Thyroxine without the input of a medical professionals haha. But 1mg?! I don't know if she was getting confused because she had been on Wegovy previously and said it hadn't worked xx

NippyNinjaCrab · 12/05/2025 22:08

Where are you off too in August @Blondeshavemorefun. I know i will too judging by the food pics on the hotels group haha xx

owlyboo · 12/05/2025 22:10

Well done @morbidcuriosity!

@poppym12that gain will be gone in no time. Hope the cream isn’t to horrible!

Weepixie · 13/05/2025 00:42

* * that’s not my food

I know. I was replying to forforksake.

PoemsForTea · 13/05/2025 08:56

Morning treasures 🙂 I've decided I'm institutionalised as I'm away for a few days and missing weighing every day 😆
Yesterday was my birthday so I celebrated with a double caramel magnum and Lemon drizzle cake - bloody lovely!

poppym12 · 13/05/2025 09:17

Well the holiday gain is now down to 0.5kg so I'm pleased with that. A pound after eating lots of chewy and jelly sweets plus lots of bread isn't too bad. Still got a way to go tho.

I got husband to take a picture of me yesterday. I knew I'd have some loose skin (age plus inability to exercise) but bloody hell!! My thighs and upper arms are awful. Looks like I'll be mainly wearing trousers and shirts when out in public.

weaselyeyes · 13/05/2025 12:45

Glad the holiday gain is abating @poppym12! Good luck with horrid cream.

I don't know whether IQ doctor are the most efficient company in the world or don't know what they're doing. I asked them months ago if they did maintenance and got a generic email saying yes, case by case basis. So each month when I order and there's space for comments, I say getting on fine and want to stay on a maintenance dose for quite a while when I get to goal - just to keep reinforcing my keenness to do so! Yesterday I ordered at about 4pm and had a message about a six month review, which turned out to be some additional questions about lifestyle and health etc, so I completed them. Then I had a generic email saying I'm in a healthy BMI and should consider stopping or reducing dose blah blah, so I replied (at length!) saying as stated, I'm not yet at goal and would like to stay on current dose, then very gradually reduce over a longish period and could they confirm this was ok. They replied saying just, 'yes, we support maintenance doses at IQ doctor' and my pen arrived via standard royal mail at 11 am this morning. So I assume all is well with planning maintenance, but it's hard to tell! Can't fault them for speediness, though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/05/2025 13:57

Yes they do maintenance as I went with them a few months back to get foot on foot

Arraminta · 13/05/2025 16:34

Belated Happy Birthday @PoemsForTea.

I'm still with Cloud Pharmacy and it feels like they couldn't be less involved with my maintenance. I'm just about to order my 4th maintenance dose pen of 7.5mg and they've yet to ask me any questions!

In other news, I've somehow managed to lose another 2lbs despite having just come back from holiday? Very pleased as we were very disappointed by the actual holiday, if I'm honest. I'd never booked with TUI before and naively assumed their 5T Platinum rating was the same as regular 5*. Er no, most definitely it was not! Never, ever again!

weaselyeyes · 13/05/2025 16:47

Oh, shame you didn't enjoy it more @Arraminta. At least your bikini joy was some compensation!

@Blondeshavemorefun you can just use a percentage calculator like this one https://percentagecalculator.net/

Aww, thank you. We're off again in 5 weeks (the joys of being Empty Nesters) so hopefully this holiday will make up for it.
