@Blondeshavemorefun it's a wonderful feeling isn't it? Remember 'Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.' Your legs look very long, lucky girl!

@Azuresky68 we're off to Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard. It's been on our bucket list for years, so very excited!

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 10:56

@Arraminta that will be a wonderful trip!

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 10:59

@Blondeshavemorefun remember sizes vary according to where you shop! There will be a size 14 somewhere now that fits you! And you are so lucky to have long legs..mine only just touch thr floor!! Have you decided how much more you want to lose?

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 11:02

@Blondeshavemorefun about to order a strapless dress but can't decide in the colour. I don't wear black. Have you got the purple one? Is there much difference between the Temu ones and Ebay oneso

weaselyeyes · 14/05/2025 11:07

Congrats on the trousers @Blondeshavemorefun!

Weepixie · 14/05/2025 11:08

good afternoon, I hope you’re all well and happy.

It was jab day for me today and my scales tell me I’d lost 1.3kgs since last Wednesday. I’m pretty sure though my weigh in last week didn’t give me a true result as I’d been on a very long flight the day before and really shouldn’t have weighed. But I did cos I was curious.

Anyway, since the day I left on holiday which is 27 days ago I’ve lost an average of 2.1 kgs which is just over 500 gms per week and an improvement on my usual 400-450 gms per week. I think the walking in London helped counteract not being to the gym all the time I was away - instead it was 5 days of 10,000 plus steps daily.

Im happy and today I’ve gone from obese to overweight so I’ve booked a dexa scan for the end of the month so I can get an idea of a target weight as I’m not a believer in the traditional BMI.

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 11:18

Finally my weight is going down again! I used my 10 mg for 12mg dose on Sunday. 4 pounds away from my revised goal of 8 stone 7 pounds. 24 BMI
Who knows I might revise again as 8 stone would 22.4 BMI.
Coming up I have a meal at my daughters on Thursday, daughter's hen do on Saturday and her wedding in just over 3 weeks. I am not planning on drinking at all in between events and going to keep it to a minimum at the events. Hoping to lose at least another 2 pounds by the wedding but it would be even better if I could lose the total of 4 to get me to target of 8 stone 7!

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 11:22

@Weepixie that's fantastic 😀 you must be so pleased about losing while away. Do you think it was all that Scottish mince!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2025 14:37

@Arraminta they may look long but def not thin. Have thunder thighs and loose skin. I can literally pull/stretch the skin up my leg

yiur trio sounds fab

@Azuresky68 I went to get to 11s so think 8lbs to go. Somewhere around that figure

To get to healthy bmi tho right at the very tip toe top at 24.9 I need to be 11.5

but want few lbs leeway so if I gain 2/3 I’m not tech overweight

you don’t wear black 🙀🙀🙀🙀

m I do have a lot of black

I think I ordered the purple one that should arrive Tom

tbh Temu seem maybe better then what from what I’ve seen

have ordered some more dresses so will see what they are like

thanks @weaselyeyes. I can’t beleive I’m in them tbh

@Weepixiethat's great. Nearly 3lbs

i think it’s good to weigh after a holiday. Even if gain due to flying etx - the following week you should lose

500g is a lb is that right so a lb a week is normal

obese to overweight. Great move. Well done 🌟

yah @Azuresky68 glad you finally have a whoosh

awww a wedding. What are you wearing as mob?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2025 19:42

@Blondeshavemorefun Wow..not far to go at all to goal...bloody great! The dress doesn't make you look fat! It's not too small at all. If you really want my honest opinion I would say you might need a more uplifting bra or just shorten the straps on the dress?
I had colour analysis done about 30 years ago and with my complexion, hair and eye colour I shouldn't wear black. I got rid of everything black in my wardrobe but it has crept back in for a few items but not many. I know a lot of people wear black as they feel it makes them look slimmer. Weirdly my daughter's hen party dress code is black. I will post a photo of the outfit I dug out of my wardrobe. Well the slinky dress is one that my daughter left here. I just can't believe I can get into it..a clingy t shirt maxi dress. For the wedding I have a lovely floaty pastel dress...I will post a photo of that too.
Let me know about the purple dress please

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 21:20

@Blondeshavemorefun so you only have 4 pounds to go to get to the top of your healthy BMI...that's very achievable ....how great is that! I finally hit the top of my healthy BMI and just want to lose another 4 pounds too

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2025 22:11

Yes def need a diff bra. Need to be measured as diff bras I try when I measure either gap or I overfill/bulge the cups

straps can’t shorten

this is a 10 dress.

that’s can’t be right can it

im def not a 10

and you can see the child bearing hips still. Sighs

yes tech think have 3lbs to go to be healthy !!! Tho very tip top end. Gain 1/2 a lb and back to overweight - but want 8 to get to 11s which is what I would like to be

tho you look slim and trim @Azuresky68. I don’t

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2025 22:13

This is the dress I’ve ordered

OP posts:
owlyboo · 14/05/2025 22:24

@Blondeshavemorefuni think you can only see hips etc as it’s Temu sizing which is smaller. I think if it was a bit bigger it would be more floaty under the bust which would in turn be more flattering and more like what that dress style is aiming for. Tight on bust then flowing out from under it so not clinging to the body. But you don’t look fat in it as you’re not fat.

I’ve attached a picture of what I mean. More floaty. Ignore bad editing 😂😂😂

I still have a tummy and hips / it’s very annoying. Maybe I should order the next size up. But that’s 12/14. They don’t do single

its 8 10 12/14 16

annoying

@owlybooyes I see what you mean

@Azuresky68 post that dress

OP posts:
owlyboo · 14/05/2025 22:32

I’m a size 10 now in jeans and in Temu I’d definitely order 12/14 over a 8/10 I just think it’ll fit more loosely and better.

its similar to shein in sizing (both china based) and even for my dd who’s 14 and a size 8 id order a size up. Just fits better.

you look great though @Blondeshavemorefunhonestly we ALL still have lumps and bumps. I can also pull full handfuls of skin on my thighs and arms and won’t even comment on my boobs 😳You just don’t see it in us as you don’t have the same harsh eye you see on yourself.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2025 22:50

I know I am harsh on myself - have to be

OP posts:
owlyboo · 14/05/2025 22:52

You don’t have to be at all. I think I’ve said before but you should try to treat yourself like you would your best friend. Be honest but kind. You’ve done amazingly! At first it’ll feel really false but after a while that positive voice will over shout the negative one and you’ll be being honest and kind to yourself

Weepixie · 15/05/2025 01:34

@Blondeshavemorefun

and you can see the child bearing hips still. Sighs

You don’t have child bearing hips. You have a tiny waist!

Seriously, just look at your lovely shoulders, they’re in line with your hips, then look at your waist.

Honestly, that’s what you need to focus on because that’s what’s making you think your hips are out of proportion to the rest of you when they’re not. You have an hourglass figure.

And as for label sizes - they really are best ignored in real terms and say nothing about a persons size.

Weepixie · 15/05/2025 01:39

Azuresky68 · 14/05/2025 11:22

@Weepixie that's fantastic 😀 you must be so pleased about losing while away. Do you think it was all that Scottish mince!!

I have to say that I think it probably was. 🤣

Ive even been eating quite a bit of it since I’ve been home because I’m just enjoying it so much. 🙈

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2025 07:08

@Weepixie I still have a hip bulge. Not normal hips that go out but the bump over them. Not explaining well but i Kwym

@owlyboo I guess I’m tough on my self as now only me to look after mini blondes and know she’s ok and I need to be the healthiest I can be for her

if something happens to me …..

weaselyeyes · 15/05/2025 08:22

Being hypercritical of yourself isn’t the same as being healthy though. It’s great you’ve lost weight, which will make a big difference. But going on at yourself all the time about having thunder thighs, childbearing hips or being a fat fuck is just being nasty to yourself. There’s plenty of research evidence to show that constant negative self-talk is actively damaging to mental and physical health. You can aim to lose the same amount of weight without all this alongside it. It’s not a choice between being horrible to yourself or losing weight. You’re the same whether you say horrible things or not, and the same whether you buy a 10 or a 12/14.

owlyboo · 15/05/2025 08:35

@Blondeshavemorefuni get that as a single mum myself but if anything all the more reason to be your biggest cheer leader. My ex h is not a nice man. And was not nice to me when we were married and when I was finally out of that I said to myself no one would ever treat me and speak to me the way he did again. That also includes myself.

like @weaselyeyessays it’s only going to be detrimental to your health. Nothing good comes from negativity and speaking to yourself like crap. Especially when you have done so well!

weaselyeyes · 15/05/2025 09:50

Exactly @owlyboo. I think all of us who have been overweight feel the shame and doubt and tend to be self-critical. And I certainly understand the single parent pressure, having been on my own with my daughter. But we can't just go oh, that's how I am, anymore than it helped us to go oh, I'm just fat. Losing the weight has required constant, difficult effort, and losing the negative self-talk requires consistent effort too. It's just as tough as dieting!
