@JomonotFomo Nearly a year?!?!😱 That is impressive!! How’s the 7.5 going so far??

OP posts:
JomonotFomo · 16/05/2025 13:30

It’s ok so far. Some sulphur burps on Sunday but not as bad as going up to 5! Suppression is better.

I lost 1lb this week bringing me to 10st 7 which is a 75.5lb loss (33.4%) it’s the first loss since March but that’s ok.

I am hoping to get to my 6st which would be 9st12.5 or maybe just 10st as that would take me to a bmi of 23ish and I’d have a bit of wriggle room to fluctuate and not be bouncing in and out of overweight. (10st10 is bmi 25)

Does anyone else simultaneously feel better but still feel “fat”

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/05/2025 15:49

I have days. Looking in a mirror, I can see that I am actually quite small but when I look down at my belly or look at my legs in shorts, I think I look pretty chunky. It’s bizarre!!

JomonotFomo · 16/05/2025 16:11

@IReallyNeedThisToWork that is exactly how I feel.

coffeandteav · 16/05/2025 17:14

I have started to get stressed about putting it all back on after that recent study and reading a thread on here. I can't do a maintenance dose. I have timed out of it and am now BMI 23 ish so no chance.

JomonotFomo · 16/05/2025 17:27

@coffeandteav which thread was that? I saw the study..

SunnyDreamst · 16/05/2025 18:05

I saw that too @coffeandteav it’s worrying isn’t it. I was able to restart at bmi25 with iqdoctor after a break as I supplied my last perscription. Took a few emails back & forth with them. Then switched back to zava as I had old codes to use. I’m ticking over on 2.5mg and intend to stay on this as long as they let me. All my carb craving came back after 5/6wk off sadly proving to me it’s definitely genes or insulin resistance as I’ve found it really easy to eat healthy & exercise daily with the maintenance dose. I absolutely love being a healthy size 12 it’s life changing.

Thanks I may have a look at this. I mean I don't even know of I can't do it by myself but statistically not. Eek.

I think I have insulin issues too.

daffodilandtulip · 16/05/2025 19:26

Thanks for all the lovely comments guys. I'm no further in the bra quest but I ordered some swimsuits for an upcoming trip to Greece.

I'M WEARING A SIZE 8 SWIMSUIT 😱

coffeandteav · 17/05/2025 08:33

Size 8 wow amazing!

Week 42 10.9
Week 43 10.9
Week 44 10.12
Week 45 10.10
Week 46 10.8

2lbs this week. I was 10.6 earlier in the week but had a meal and wine yesterday before watching my friends play. I also ate a whole box of chocolates.

It is crazy I can't smell or taste. I think severe allergies. I don't know but seeing a specialist in September. I didn't enjoy one bit of yesterday and didn't feel saited as I tasted not a jot of it. Maybe that's the secret to not piling the weight on again.🤦‍♀️

Time4changeagain · 17/05/2025 09:19

Week 50 weigh in for me today, Wanted to get to 10 stone on my year anniversary but it’s looking highly unlikely. Only 4lb to go but I have been bouncing round the same 1lb for a month. I want to stop the medication to see if I can manage without but still ordering “just one more” Maintenance seems a nightmare! Most prescribers have totally different criteria & different bmi cut off.
Had a conversation with IQ and they said because I’m on their books they would let me restart after a break (up to 3 month) if I needed and allow maintenance for 12 months. They also said they would stop prescribing at bmi 23 but in the same breath said it’s assessed on photos of the individual so they could prescribe below 23 🤷‍♀️

I feel in the same situation. I have one pen left but don't think I will be prescribed anymore as it has been about 4 months.
My anniversary is the 1st June but have had weeks off and restarted.
Maintenance is scaring me at the moment as I don't want to go back to 15 stone.

Time4changeagain · 17/05/2025 09:37

My anniversary is the 1st of June too 😁
Just say you ordered early each month and had a few pens you wanted to use up, send them a photo of the pen you still have too. Surely that’s evidence you are still on the medication?
I’ve had a few months off throughout the year but still got a few pens in the fridge as I ordered early and from different suppliers to begin with when we didn’t have any maintenance options so it’s doable.

I have tried to reorder 2.5 with Asda as I have panicked. Will see what they say. 😨
I did similar but am down to my last pen.

Snozzlemaid · 17/05/2025 10:31

I’m expecting delivery today of my first pen after my brain haemorrhage two months ago. Neurologist happy for me to restart so I ordered a 2.5 pen straight away and can’t wait to start again.
I was 12st 5lbs before I got ill and I’m now 13st 4lbs.
The food noise had been awful since the last dose left my system and being unwell for a good few weeks I’ve not had the willpower to restrict my eating.
But I’m ready to get back on it now with my MJ friend 😃
I was really hoping to reach my goal of a healthy BMI within a year of starting but not thinking about that now.

My weight this time last year before I started was 18st 6lbs so I know I’ve come a long way since then.

Being off MJ has reinforced my thought that I will probably need to be on this long term. But I was happy that I still had reduced food noise when I only had a very low amount in my system. I was watching the level go down on my Shotsy app when I couldn’t take it.

Can’t wait to jab later hopefully.

Time4changeagain · 17/05/2025 10:50

@coffeandteav They should if you have ordered with them before, if not I’d definitely try another pharmacy.
@Snozzlemaid amazing news that you got the go ahead, you’ll be back on track before you know it 😁

SunnyDreamst · 17/05/2025 10:55

Great news @Snozzlemaid i hope it goes well for you now after a very hard few months.
@coffeandteav is the sense of taste smell from covid issues. I’ve got friend whose never regain smell properly post covid two years ago. Hope you can find a resolution.

I’m trying very hard to embrace my DHs view that food =fuel that’s it - nothing more but with a lifetime of emotional eating it’s very hard.

daffodilandtulip · 18/05/2025 08:51

I'm on my period, I've worked a million hours this week, having building work done and did a 20k charity walk yesterday so fancied chips for tea out of pure exhaustion. Probably the second time since MJ, and I don't tend to eat fatty foods anyway.

My god, I've got the chip hangover from hell this morning!!

Snozzlemaid · 18/05/2025 12:38

Thank you for the good wishes@SunnyDreamstand @Time4changeagain
Restarted on 2.5 yesterday and already feeling a reduction in food noise. The kitchen cupboards and fridge are no longer shouting at me.
What a wonderful drug this is!

Megarea · 22/05/2025 20:48

After about 2 months of moving up and down the same 3 lbs weight has finally started to come off again.

SW 252.6 lb
CW 186.6 lb
Total loss: 66 lbs

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/05/2025 21:40

@Megarea yay!! Send some movement my way would ya?!?😫

JomonotFomo · 23/05/2025 13:29

I weighed in today at 10st5! Over 5 and a half stone lost now in a year.

I think I have maybe 5lb left until I’m going to stop, not going to lie I’m not sure what I do if I’m not losing, part of the realisation over the year has been that I am “addicted” to losing. I like the thrill of seeing the scale come down etc. Obviously I’ve spent the last 20yrs with it going up and down and up and down!! And in 20yrs I’ve never hit target, so what do I do when I do?

Megarea · 23/05/2025 13:32

Thanks @IReallyNeedThisToWork it's so frustrating isn't it? I don't know if it's coincidence but the movement has coincided with my car being in the garage and massively increasing my walking this week as I had no choice!

I know what you mean. I have never in my life maintained. Always up and down.
