How much weight loss until you're out of 'obese'?

I've had a positive start (first week) and it's nice to see the graph/stats on Shotsy BUT I've just made the mistake of looking how much weight I'll have to lose to even just be 'overweight' 😭

Current BMI 33.4

What I love so much about this is knowing that I can think when I have lost the weight… rather than if I lose the weight… Just keeping taking it for long enough will mean I will lose the weight so I can afford to not worry about it.

For me it was 2st.

Though we’ve had a birthday weekend full of cake, and despite swimming and gym-ing yesterday I’m still up 1lb.

It was 2 stone exactly for me, I started at 15st 1lb so firmly in the obese category. I was 13st 1lb last week so a BMI of just under 30. Seeing that "overweight" category pop up on my weight tracker app was such a milestone.

When it felt too much, I've just focused on getting to and celebrating each half stone lost, or each time my weight starts with a new number. I'm determined never to see the 15s or 14s again after being that size for years and years. Hopefully this week or next I'll see the 12s! Celebrate each little win on the journey.

It will be 5 stone 2.6lb for me. 1 stone 5lbs to go, I started November 2023 and started Mounjaro end of last year.

I’m not a fast loser on Mounjaro but it definitely helps. I don’t expect to have finished losing until next year but hoping to be overweight in the autumn.

I started last June with a BMI of 36.6. I've lost 4st 9lb and entered "normal" a couple of weeks ago 🎉

I have another 9kg to lose before I’m out of obese range (have lost 6 already).

5 1/2 stone before I’m in the overweight category.
