Can Anyone link me to the bonus dose instructions please?

My scale finally decided to give in and show 79.9. It could bounce back up again but it's a well earned decrease and I'm so glad to see a 7 again.

Oushk now have influencers with referral codes. I find that difficult to see for a medication.

How much water are we supppossd to be drinking?

Im trying to drink 2L a day minimum. I generally buy sparkling water bottles as i find plain water so dull. I just gauge how much ive drank from one of those

Ugh do they? I've been ordering from them but that puts me off. I might consider moving. Some of the sales tactics by providers feels very unethical.

I wish everyone would do away with discount codes and just price the meds fairly.

Warmautumnbreeze · 18/03/2025 07:12

Weigh in for me today. Only down 3/4 lb this week. I'm surprised as this has definitely been my best week yet in terms of calorie counting.

My scales are really unreliable though! Completely different weights depending on where on the floor I put them! I try to put them in the same spot each time but it seems the first reading is always wrong (at least I hope it is otherwise I gained 3lbs this week ha ha).

Does anyone know of any scales which have a calibration setting to make sure they're always accurate?

Shefliesonherownwings · 18/03/2025 07:51

I am actually stunned with my results this week. It was W3 and it was a horrible week for me as I work for NHSE and was blind sided by the news we’d be abolished. I had pizza and chocolate on Thursday night. I’ve also had ice cream a couple of times but I still managed to lose 2.5 pounds! That’s a total of 7.5 in three weeks. I’m someone that normally loses weight so slowly so I am thrilled with this. W4 D1 here I come.

@Warmautumnbreeze can you keep your scales in the same place so you don't have to keep moving them? We are fortunate in that out bathroom is big enough that we can do that, but when we move them to mop the floor and don't get them back in exactly the same place the weight can fluctuate by 2lbs.

I've now marked the spot on the floor where the top left corner of the scales sits so I always get them back to the same place.

And obviously always weigh yourself on a hard floor not carpet

Yep I agree.
I'm going to move to the The Family Chemist offer maintenance too.

5mg is knocking me for 6. Bad Burps, running to the toilet all night and farts that i daren't trust.
Hoping i feel back to normal in a day or two. Can still feel last nights beans on toast gurgling around and that was the only thing i managed yesterday!

Hangryfastjo · 18/03/2025 09:05

@happypie82 when did you take your 5mg please?
I did my first yesterday at about 4pm.

Thanks

I took it Sunday afternoon. With each dose I’ve always found any side effects kick in the evening of the day after but this is the worst so far

That's great! I had a roast on Sunday (couldn't finish it all though!), a slice of banana bread yesterday, and a small amount of mash potato with yesterday's dinner. To my surprise, this morning the scales have moved the most they have moved all week and I'm 0.8kg down from yesterday. Totally thought it wouldn't move at all seeing as I didn't make the best food choices towards the end of this week. I think for me it's the calorie deficit throughout the week that is helping, plus maybe the MJ improving my insulin resistance / PCOS. Whatever it is, the overall trend is downwards which I'm really pleased about.

Warmautumnbreeze · 18/03/2025 10:01

@AnnaQuayInTheUk thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I have to hide my scales in between weigh in as my daughter has started to develop an eating disorder. I have marked the position on the floor but I think my scales are just shit because they fluctuate even when I weigh myself twice in quick succession in the same spot.

@Shefliesonherownwings I have a very similar start, current and goal weight to you!

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 18/03/2025 10:26

@Warmautumnbreeze that must be so worrying for you. One of my friends has a DD who has been hospitalised several times due to anorexia and she doesn't have scales in the house now even though her DD lives away. I hope your dad gets the help she needs

Ke11 · 18/03/2025 13:23

@Warmautumnbreeze i weigh myself in the bathtub itself, there's one spot in the middle that the scales fit perfectly, if it's not in the right spot then it's not totally flat to the ground and I can tell immediately, is something like that an option?

HoratioBum · 18/03/2025 13:42

The scales finally shifted this morning after 3 weeks losing and gaining the same half a pound my body has started to play ball and suddenly dropped 2 pounds overnight. Absolutely nothing has changed in what I’ve been doing or eating/drinking.

I was getting very demotivated, even though I know that eventually I had to start losing as I’m in a deficit, I’m so glad to see the scales finally going in the right direction. It means I’ve lost 5 pounds this month, and I’ll take that. My scales weren’t calibrating right when I first started and I thought I’d had a huge drop immediately, so I’m unsure exactly what happened in the first week, so I’m taking my weight loss from the first time I know my scales were correct. Due to go up to 5mg on Thursday and am hoping it will give a bit more oomph to the situation!

Throwingitallaway24 · 18/03/2025 13:55

Hey everyone just joining in. I started mj (again!) in Feb but had a 2 week break as my daughter was in hospital and we didn't get chance to get my pen. Injected yesterday morning and feel okay so far just a bit burpy and nauseous but I am also having the period from hell so that's not helping the nausea. I get married in 6 weeks so trying to do some minor damage control 😂 and then continue trying to get nearer to my goal weight.

88kg at lunchtime today I'd really like to get to low 80s by end of April but we'll just see. I love mounjaro as it stops me seeking dopamine in food but doesn't do anything about my laziness for prepping good quality meals...

Zibb · 18/03/2025 13:55

I took my first 5mg on Saturday and I feel nothing. No side effects but also bad food noise and I am so hungry all the time.

I was expecting 5mg to kick my bum but not like this!

Having to work hard to keep myself distracted.

You are not alone. The food noise and hunger is definitely back.

Though I have quite alot of side effects to go with it which is annoying.

I have read from a few people this happening at the start of 5mg. Just hang in there.

Sorry to hear that, @Zibb What was it like for you on 2.5mg? I wonder whether it’s not effective for some people until 7.5mg and up. Or do you, in fact, need more food?

This is my second week of 5mg, and already it’s not as strong as last week in terms of suppression, and I dreamt of food all night last night! Can’t actually manage to eat much when it comes to it though. And properly cold, for the first time..🥶

Zibb · 18/03/2025 14:22

2.5 was alright, I had quite a few rough days in terms of side effects and I had minimal suppression but food noise was a lot quieter and I also just felt better in myself. Aches and pains were better, I had energy, I slept better.
I woke up this morning still tired and with aching legs and feet. Which hasn't happened at all on 2.5.
So all the positives of 2.5 just aren't there anymore. I feel like I did in January, the old zibby.

I hadn't quite realised just how good I did feel on 2.5 until now!

Will keep plodding on and hope it changes.

How much water are we supppossd to be drinking?

I have a nice 1Ltr bottle and I fill it in the morning - drink that up before lunchtime, then again after lunch - drink that before teatime, then I do a final refill after my tea and sup on it in the evening. I love drinking water though, I know some people struggle. You can also add flavoured collagen or soluble vitamins to it for a bit of flavour. I sometimes add a fizzy Vitamin C tablet (cheap ones from Tesco, nothing fancy) and that really boosts my immune system.

DelightfullySoSo · 18/03/2025 14:38

Welp. As you know, my 5mg is in the fridge waiting for me but I'm getting plenty suppression and zero bad effects on 2.5mg so I've pretty much decided to stay on 2.5mg and will just need to count clicks.

Looking at my 2.5mg pen - it's the end of my first one and I really does look like there's a whole other dose in there.

Can anyone confirm - do I just click the pen as far as I can and give myself that 5th dose, even if it's shy of the usual 2.5mg/60 clicks?

Or is the idea to top it up from the new pen?

I'm a bit confused on the whole 'golden dose' thing. I do know I don't particularly want to get insulin needles involved - I'm not convinced about the sanitation of that.

Has anyone done a 5th dose directly from the 2.5mg pen?

Hersetta427 · 18/03/2025 14:42

First week on 3.75mg and great suppression - the two days after I injected I was out all day and basically forgot to eat as I never felt hungry so had one meal a day.

Really happy with my 17lb weight loss in a little over 5 weeks.

If you have taken the four doses, the pen won't click round anymore- you can try and force it and it should free up and allow you to dose as normal. I bought insulin syringes and put the needle from that into the end of the pen and drew up 0.6ml which is a full dose. No problem at all and I am certainly not going to waste a dose in each pen.
