I’ve been watching this thread from afar, started in February and am abt a stone down. I had the first 5 mg dose last week but also had covid or some similar nasty and now wondering how much of feeling terrible was down to the medicine. I had to force myself to eat any thing at all.
So today I’ve taken the 2.5 mg dose and now wondering how to get up to five mags without having to take time out of work or things I enjoy.

Why do you need to get up to 5 if 2.5 is working for you?

Results of week 6 - 2lbs down. Week 5 was1/2lb. Not loving the results on 5mg!

I had a big loss (7lbs) in week 1 then 3lb each in weeks 2, 3 and 4. I think suppression is still good and I’m having to make myself eat proper meals most days.

Away next weekend on what would usually be a foodie trip to Cornwall so I’ll be happy with maintaining next weekend. But that means quite a lot of money and effort for a small loss.

Have a review with my prescribing doctor next Wednesday and hope moving up to 7.5mg will help me get back to a 2-3lbs per week. Keep telling myself it’s a marathon not a sprint!

Week 3 - bit alarmed that I've felt no side effects from my most recent injection, which I did in my stomach opposed to thighs like the first two. Wouldn't say I'm getting no suppression but it's definitely lower than it has been, and none of the slight nausea/hungerover feeling the next morning.
Lost 5lb in week 1 and 2lb in week 2. Have been consciously trying to eat a bit more as had a few moments of feeling faint and dizzy at the start of last week.

Wondering if I've made a mistake..

I'm due for my 3rd 2.5mg tomorrow and expecting another loss. I've been hungry last week which surprised me as suppression was strong in week one. This week has been a bit easier and still eating clean. I had to order my next pen to make sure it was here on time and dithered but went for the 5mg.

Now I'm wondering if I should just have stayed at 2.5mg as I am hungry BUT staying under 1300 cals most days and could eat a bit more on hungrier days.

That said, life has been wonderfully dull e.g. no birthdays, parties or special foodie occasions.. I think I would struggle when things crop up and I'm less prepared, if that makes sense?

Anyway, wondering if I could just do less clicks and use my 5mg pen as a 2.5mg or 3mg? Does anyone know how many clicks each would be? I"m nervous about not doing things by the book LOL!

This is me too, did thigh for wk3 and felt barely anything. Back to stomach for 4 and has been better but not a suppressed as in 1&2.

Some people get good results using the thigh, I think it’s just finding what works for you. People rave about the back of the arm but I don’t think I could do it there.

I tried to get some stuff done this morning but eventually gave up and spent most of the day lying on the sofa reading.
I've got a lot to do over the weekend and so need to find a way to boost my energy levels first thing tomorrow. A decent breakfast would probably help.
My 5mg pen was delivered today and now I'm worried that I should have stuck to 2.5 for another month.
Moan over. I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

This is the end of my 3rd week on 2.5, officially weigh in tomorrow but jumped on the scale for an unofficial weigh-in earlier today, and looks like I'm a grand total of 0.4lb down this week. Slightly disappointing after a 9lb total loss in the first two weeks. Not even half a pound😅

Hopefully tomorrow when I weigh in the morning it will round up to a pound!

It's so interesting how everyone responds differently!

I want to try my arm for my 5th injection tomorrow but my husband won't do it for me and I don't think I'd be able to do it myself correctly.

I find my energy levels are higher when I have a high protein breakfast. Maybe that will work for you too? I hope you are feeling better tomorrow!

I’ve always felt the cold easily but now it’s ridiculous. I’ve literally just added a second blanket on top of my duvet and I’m sleeping with a sweatshirt on 😭🥴

Just joining in with the stomach/thigh thing. I can’t do my stomach at all, as I have stretch marks from belly button to bush - thanks, DD! 😂 So if it works better, I’ll never know, as apparently you have to avoid them. Unless I dreamt that..

Oh that is interesting! I only tried the stomach as have had bruising on my thighs and wanted to see if it was better. Well, no bruises although the skin is so thin and stretch-marked that it wouldn't have mattered so much anyway!

Back to thigh next week then...

I'm doing it higher than my belly button - are we not supposed to? Too many stretch marks lower to make sure I miss one and I hear it's painful to inject in a stretch mark. I felt good level, but not complete, suppression apart from last 2 or 3 days of 4th week on 2.5mg. No side effects.

No loss this week, so still 1 stone down in first 4 weeks. Typing that's made me realise my period is due so maybe that explains standstill. Normally I gain 4-7lbs around this time, but comes off quickly after.

I didn’t dream it after all @MrsHero! It affects absorption apparently, and as @stargazer02 says, can be painful.

I’m sticking to thighs anyhow - I’ve got literally acres to choose from 😂

So I decided to take 5mg again despite the effects after the first week. This time I injected in my thigh and it's completely different to the first time. Only a little nausea on one day and have felt cold. I do have a bruise where I injected but glad I stuck with 5mg and didn't count clicks because this suppression is fine without being overly strong. I still enjoy what I eat but am not ravenous. I am hoping I can stay at lower dose for a while, or ideally until I get to goal.
13.1 pounds off in 5 weeks. It's not the huge losses some people have but I am OK with it.

Week 5, Day 1

So took my golden dose today, got around 3.15mg and decided to count clicks on the new pen to make it up to 5. Think I'm possibly a touch under 5mg but that's ok.

Will see how this week goes, have had breakfast already as was hungry and my sweet tooth is calling me buy I've also felt pretty sicky, it's odd.

Still hoping to hit the stone loss before going up to 5mg but really happy with this so far. I had to use a lot of willpower this week and had some crisps but still stayed well within my calories and I feel like I'm definitely creating better habits. Having to plan ahead and weigh everything I eat is a pain but you soon get used to it. I'm staying overnight at my mum's tonight and I'm taking my food scale 🤣

Short hair! I used always have chin-length hair but the fatter I got the fatter my face got and my chin disappeared into other chins and I hated the way it looked with short hair, so I've been keeping it longer. If I ever get to 12 stone I will be chopping the hair.
