So many people I want to reply to but thread moving so fast!
@sc0ttishlass glad the pain passed relatively quickly. I'd make a note of it and what you are before in case something was a trigger. I've never had gallbladder problems but noticing I can't eat hummus right now - agony, twice! Might be the garlic as one DD is intolerant so we rarely have it. Was just trying to make my salad more interesting,!

I ordered my second pen on Wednesday after seeing some people saying there's delays. It's arriving tomorrow. Initial emails did say it would be middle of next week though.
I'm a bit nervous about going up (still one more dose of 2.5 left, not sure if brave enough to get golden dose. Will have a look on how. I'm just about managing the pen needle )
If I stay like I feel now (which I think is possibly what "normal" feels like) I would LOVE it. Im wondering if I should have ordered a second 2.5.instead. Was worried I'd regret it if effects wear off but I don't think I want any extra suppression right now either. This feels healthy. I'm enjoying a decent portion, still having things my kids have baked etc, but realised I've only been eating twice a day - brunch and dinner- which is fine.

Thanks @Chrestomanciscat and @stargazer02 I'll think about going to doctor. Initially I wqs thinking I'm embarrassed to tell them I'm on this (even though I think they would have been notified) but I need to get over the embarrassment. I hadn't had anything to eat yet today. To be honest it could have been that as in past couple of years after the operation I noticed if I hadn't eaten for a longer period (not common!!) I felt a bit off.
Garlic does seem to be a trigger food for some doesn't it.
Bought hot cross buns todsy and hat one. Previously woukd have been 2 at least and to be honest could have been all 4 in a day. I never want to be that person again 😕

I’m never hungry first thing but try and make myself have something- a small bowl of Greek yogurt (a tablespoon or two) with a cut up banana and some chia seeds does me @sc0ttishlass, or two boiled eggs with some smoked salmon.

Next week is my last 2.5 before I move up to 5 so I'd like to hit the stone mark over the next two weeks and then hopefully slow down a little bit because while it's really motivating to see that kind of loss, 9lb in two weeks is also scary. Even if I am working really hard at it as well as taking the medication.

hi everyone lots of people I’d like to reply to too but very fast moving!

I’ve lost 3kg in 3 weeks (about half a stone) and getting good suppression on 2.5 so I ordered a new pen at 2.5 again from medexpress yesterday and it’s arriving today.

I have been losing that weight on 1800 cal a day - my family have pretty fast metabolisms and I’m active. The issue was always binge chocolate and alcohol that led to me being overweight. So with the binging drive gone and lack of desire for alcohol it seems 2.5 is the right dose for me for now.

I think 1kg (2.2lb) a week is a bit too fast for avoiding gallstones so I’m trying to slow it down a bit. Just had soughdough toast with butter this morning @sc0ttishlass but usually I would have about 50grams Greek yogurt with a handful of fresh berries and a quarter cup of homemade nut/oat/chia seed granola

I'm about to start week 5 and have lost 15lbs most of that in the 1st 2 weeks. I don't know whether to stay in 2.5 as I have fairly good suppression or go up to 5mg.
What have others done? Thanks

I exercise before breakfast which makes it much easier to eat.

My main breakfast is porridge made up of mixed grain oats, liquid egg white, pumpkin seeds, milled flaxseed, pear with skin on, sultanas, cinnamon and semi skimmed milk. Once cooked and cooled down a little I add a few tbsps of Greek yoghurt.

It's about 550 calories, 9g fibre, 10g protein, 40g of carbs. Best start to the day.

Morning all! I’ve been thinking about exercise, anyone else? I walk at least 1.5 hours every day (steep slopes too!), plus swimming. I really need to incorporate some yoga or Pilates (can do those, not a complete beginner) but also weights I think. Not a clue about how to do these safely (and gently!). Can anyone recommend a nice gentle teacher on you tube or whatever?
I know gym is the ideal, but I’m v rural and it’s miles. It just wouldn’t happen with everything else I’ve got on..

I never usually eat breakfast but am trying to break bad habits

Not bored of it yet but only day 9, I do need to look at other options, really gone off eggs.

Lunch is usually fruit, then dinner is protein and veg.

Hi all!
Upped to 5mg on Wednesday... oh my word. Mouth like the sahara, nausea, headache pretty much until yesterday early evening. My eyes seemed really dry too. Felt the same as I do on codeine, a bit spaced out which made it harder to work. Feeling fine now but wondering if I should drop to 3.75mg for the next dose or give 5mg one more try? I'm inclined to follow the rules and have 5mg but I didn't really have side effects at the 2.5mg dose so the sudden change really hit me!
I did need to increase because suppression was wearing off. No idea what to do lol

Took my 4th jab yesterday, will be planning on extracting the golden dose next Friday and then into the 5mg which is sat in my fridge waiting. Does anyone with under active thyroid losing ok? I've lost a total of 9lbs which I'm really happy about' but only lost 3lbs of that over 2 weeks. I haven't had much suppression over the last couple of weeks but hoping that might increase when I go to 5mg

F56 in surgical menopause. Due to reorder 2nd pen today…given decent loss with zero side effects I’m going to stick with same dosage as pen 1.

Goal 1: 10% of starting weight (27.5lbs loss)*

@Zazu44 I decided to go up to 5mg for my dose last night as it felt like there wasn’t as much appetite suppression on my 5th week of 2.5mg. Definitely feeling that this morning!

Thank you for the breakfast ideaa everyone i think that's part of where I'm going wrong, I don't eat any as not hungry them en up having no where near enough to eat the rest of the day. Probably stems from pre mounjaro at times I would forego breakfast so I could binge eat more rubbish later in the day (which never worked as I'd be starving and end up eating 4 slices of toast. Yes, disgusting I know. I've had some yoghurt and banana this am and will stock up. Eggs and salmon sounds lovely and shouldn't just be for christmas!

If I'm working from home, I might have a bagel with peanut butter and a sliced banana, or an egg. If I'm in the office, I take overnight oats with chia seeds, fruit, some form of sweetener. I exercise early doors (6am start) so I'm always ready to eat when I get home.
I always used to go for sweet breakfast but my taste buds have definitely changed and I want more savoury.

I've always been active so I've been carrying on as I was before, but I have to say I find it much more difficult on Mounjaro. I did park run this morning and was blowing the whole way round. I was obviously getting lots of energy from the multiple chocolate bars I was unconsciously snuffling in my gob!
Joe Wicks has alot of free workouts on YouTube and you can find lots of beginner and intermediate workouts.

Not the best mounjaro morning today. Weigh in early as changed day to Saturday.

Sadly no loss this week. Don't understand how considering the struggle to eat and the effort to reach 1200 calories a day this week.

Also somehow the needle loosened when I started injected (purely human error) so built up in cap. When I put needle back on properly, liquid shot out into the kitchen. Continued to inject the rest but have no idea what I have lost mg wise.

Just hoping it's all just a blip and onwards and upwards from here.

its my 4th jab day today on 2.5mg and also 3rd weigh day

week 1 lost 4lbs
week 2 lost 1 3/4 lb
week 3 lost 1/2 lb

total 6 1/4

side effects have been hard. Headaches and nausea. However the last week I’ve not felt any suppression like the previous weeks.
I’ve felt like I needed food.

I want to stay on 2.5mg due to side effects but I feel suppression has worn off

scared to go to 5mg and have worse side effects

NSV for me today . I bought 2 things from Hell Bunny in January and decided to buy in a size down . This was before I even decided to do the jabs . The dress was very snug but was a bit stretchy so got away with it . The other thing was flat out too tight and couldn't breathe . Well I've tried it on now and it fits and even got room ! So I'm going to wear it as much as possible now until it gets too big .
Side effects of my first 5mg have subsided quite a lot today but still feel sicky and got a dry mouth .
