Wow who would have thought it

We are doing so well. 7mths

Hugs all the auggies and all of us have lost a fair amount of weight

Some still have weight to lose myself included

Equally a few are nearing their healthy bmi or have reached it and thinking about maintaining

And all I can say is an elephants penis 😂😂😂

@Blondeshavemorefun I’m a lucky light weight - both times I tried 5mg I was really sick but found 3.75 is my happy place. I’ve always gone extra days between jabs if suppression has still been ok (or if I’ve forgotten!) or for convenience.

I’ve had a few stalls but mostly whilst I was away and over Christmas. Otherwise probably 1-2lb a week.

Ive probably not eaten great tbh, and I probably don’t eat enough, but I’m not exercising much either. This why I want to get to a below target weight and then ‘allow’ myself to creep up a little, but only so much.

I feel like MJ is doing its thing, but I also feel that I’m consciously making better choices too and not relying on the MJ so hoping that helps with maintaining

@Usernamechangeforthis12 there are lots of options...groups on FB etc where people get together for travel. The person I am going with is someone I met through travel when I was single about 7 years ago. We hit it off and see eachother 2 or 3 times a year. Guess we were lucky that we are on the same page about travel. I have a partner who I go away with too and have also travelled solo. I used to work for a company specialising in solo travel but it's very expensive.

Great news on your bloods @WitchDancer!

@owlyboo I say just titrate down by a few clicks as you feel like it and take it week by week. I don't know it's important to stick to a rigid schedule and there's not much evidence about how/when to titrate down as yet. So if you feel suppression has been too high one week, go down by a few on your next dose and so on.

I'm a little uncertain what my dose will be this week. I was on 6mg but this past week I've been hungrier. My daughter's been home, so we've gone out to eat and for a drink a couple of times and I certainly didn't have any problems joining in, though I wasn't wildly overdoing it. Was nearly 3lbs up this morning, which was vexing, though felt like one of those things because I'd eaten more carbs, so resigned myself to a gain or sts tomorrow and thought I'd go up to maybe 6.25 when I took my dose this evening. I decided to take it this morning in vew of feeling hungrier and used two of the little needles to take the dose rather than a syringe, as they're a bit nicer and I could count clicks. I've had a few pens that have stuck and I haven't been able to use them, but this pen seemed ok last week when I used the little needles. Anyway, after using them this morning it really didn't seem like the plunger inside the pen had moved, even though I'd primed (very delicately so as not to waste any!). I eventually - after some fiddling - concluded I'd dosed myself with two needles worth of nothing and had probably done that last week too. So I gave myself another dose with a syringe. This at least would explain why I was hungrier, but I'm really hoping I'm right and haven't double dosed myself! I didn't fancy risking two weeks of inadvertently being off MJ.

@weaselyeyes would 7 be too much ?

syringe I think is better when micro dosing as you know you got the right amount

@Usernamechangeforthis12 I’m so envious of those on low doses and get suppression

15 here and had none all week. I’ve just kept in cals

OP posts:
weaselyeyes · 06/03/2025 13:37

I'm not sure I'd go up to 7 when I don't think I've actually had a dose higher than 6 yet (until today). I thought I was on 6 and it maybe wasn't high enough, but now I think I was actually on zero last week (well, apart from what was left in my system)! I don't think there's any benefit from going up for the sake of it. And I wasn't micro-dosing, it was a 5mg pen so if anything I was macro-dosing - or trying to! :)

I think most of us just keep in calories and MJ makes it a bit easier. It's very much the minority at this stage who have so much suppression they don't need to consider how much they eat. The few that are struggling to eat also seem to have really difficult side effects. I just try to balance keeping to the lowest dose I can get away with, cost, not feeling starving, not feeling too ill. I could pretty much always eat more if I didn't make a conscious effort not to. I don't think I've struggled to finish a meal since about the second week. MJ just takes the edge off for me so sticking to a diet is less painful than it would be normally, and that's made all the difference to my ability to keep going.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2025 13:40

Ah right - I read it as 6 wasn’t working - but if you didn’t actually jab with anything ……..

hence syringe

AuntieDote · 06/03/2025 14:36

Hi ladies, I’ve not kept up with the thread and have somewhat lost the plot this week - a lot of stress going on. I’ve not injected because I’ve felt bloody rotten and honestly I’ve almost wanted to just eat crackers and rich tea for a week. Can you say self-sabotage? 🙄

Back on it tonight.

weaselyeyes · 06/03/2025 14:39

Yes, I went with the syringe in the end, but it's frustrating not to be able to use the supplied needles because the pens malfunction so often.

@AuntieDote Poor you - it feels like you're damned if you do jab and damned if you don't at the moment 😕

Im another solo traveller. I plan it all myself and I’ve always had a great time. Have a great holiday x

Weepixie · 06/03/2025 14:47

I Identify with so much of your post Weasel although I’m now trying once again to go up from 7.5.

Glittermoonlight · 06/03/2025 17:12

@Usernamechangeforthis12 mine is even worse than that, it has gone down lots since I started though.
My BMI is currently 23.8 and my Renpho scales say I have 35.8% body fat, so obese, subcut fat 32.3% that’s in the yellow bit. The rest are mostly green. Obviously we have boobs, and also I know it’s not totally accurate. However even if it’s only a little accurate my body fat is still loads! Plus I sort of believe it because I still have quite a bit of fat on my tummy,& an overhanging fat tyre😕
I only want to lose another 8lbs or so. But at this rate it will still be in the obese range once I’ve reached my target.

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 06/03/2025 18:23

@Glittermoonlight - similar to me. I don’t want to lose too much more but I don’t want to still be classed as obese body fat!! I guess these are the bits that need toning up. My metabolic age is at least now my actual age!!

@Azuresky68 @Weepixie - trip planning is my favourite thing to do! My holidays are planned for this year, with the teen DCs and ex and so will be in no way relaxing!! I don’t think I’ll have the leave or the funds for much more, but will make next year my travel year!!

Erm @Blondeshavemorefun to fat for them? To fat for them? To fat for them? Sorry let me just say this a little loudly in case you can't hear me from Devon YOU LOOK BLOODY STUNNING IN THEM!! Look at that shape! Child bearing hips (as you describe them!) no more!!! Well done you slinky minky!

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 06/03/2025 21:32

@Blondeshavemorefun Yay!! Well done. Not sure why you’re not sure - you look great in them!

Glittermoonlight · 06/03/2025 21:37

@Blondeshavemorefunhooray! 🎉size 16!
looking fabulous in them, very slim. They really suit you.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2025 21:40

I still have child bearing hips and why I’m struggling to get into 16

i think my legs /thighs are still fat tbh.

im nowhere near a slinky kinky yet

I’m literally squeezed into them and had to take them off inside out

@Usernamechangeforthis12as I have fat thighs - they look massive to me

@glitterI’m really not sure about them as look really tight on me

OP posts:
owlyboo · 06/03/2025 21:48

Honestly @Blondeshavemorefun you look great. Your legs look fab. I know it's difficult but try to start talking positively to yourself because you're looking great and should be proud of yourself and positive with how your new body looks because it looks very different and very good!

4pink1blue · 06/03/2025 21:54

Ooh yay @Blondeshavemorefun !! Looking fabulous lady!

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 06/03/2025 22:01

I Agree with Owly, @Blondeshavemorefun, you need to embrace your new figure and be proud of it and of how far you’ve come.
You look great and those jeans will only get looser. So if you don’t feel comfortable just yet, try again in a couple of weeks.

Motnight · 06/03/2025 22:24

@Blondeshavemorefun you look blooming gorgeous!

Glittermoonlight · 06/03/2025 22:25

@Blondeshavemorefun I think it’s hard for all of us to see the progress we’ve made, when I look at my tummy all I see is fat still, but I started off wearing size 22 top & bottoms in August,& now wear 16 bottom, 14 top, 6 months ago 16s wouldn’t have even got halfway up my legs!! I have to keep reminding myself. It seems to take ages for our brain to catch up. Yesterday I got a medium that I had ordered online, when I first unwrapped it I said it was tiny I knew I should have got a large, then I tried it on & of course it fits. I couldn’t see how something that looked so small off me could possibly fit.
Those jeans might feel a little snug on you this week this week, but you got them on. Every week you put them on from now on they’ll feel looser & looser. And one day you’ll put them on & they’ll be too big. And even if you can’t see it, you truly look fabulous in them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2025 23:24

Honestly ladies I just don’t see it 🥲

but thank you for your kind words

but you can say I look fat in them. I won’t be offended

maybe it’s a mind set thing as you all put pics up and I can see the diff and think wow you look amazing

but I honestly just don’t see it in myself

i can’t see how in 1.5s I’m suddenly going to be a 12

or maybe I won’t be the same as I was and 11s won’t equal a 12

so many of you are in 12’s or 14’s

I don’t think I will get there
