Wow who would have thought it

We are doing so well. 7mths

Hugs all the auggies and all of us have lost a fair amount of weight

Some still have weight to lose myself included

Equally a few are nearing their healthy bmi or have reached it and thinking about maintaining

And all I can say is an elephants penis 😂😂😂

Thanks @Azuresky68 I'm currently at 10 stone 9 so that gives me a BMI of 24.2. I would like to ideally be at least 10 stone 7 but wouldn't mind if I lost a couple more.

I've found 15 fine. I struggled a bit on 12.5 with nausea and sickness but fine at 15.

Yes my provider offers bundles of certain pens together and it makes them slightly cheaper so I did the 15, 12.5 and 10 and then will order the next bundle which is the starter bundle of 2.5, 5 and 7.5 and work down through them. A very expensive decision but hopefully it's the right one!

I feel okay about maintenance, especially as I'm planning to go back down the doses rather than just go cold turkey. Hopefully it'll help me to cement some good eating habits/portion control etc whilst coming off the meds. Hopefully we'll both do great!

Have a lovely holiday!

Sorry the first one randomly sent half way through and no idea how to delete it so enjoy it twice @Azuresky68

Ladies

as you hit target and start maintenance doses please keep posting so we get an idea of what works. Good luck all xx

owlyboo · 03/03/2025 22:33

@Blondeshavemorefun yes it does make it cheaper. Can't remember exactly by how much but definitely cheaper.

@Mum0ntherun don't worry I won't be going anywhere ☺️

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/03/2025 22:33

Absolutely. I assume you will go up in cals / maybe 500 a day to maintain like tdee suggest

and see if can still maintain

Feeling left behind with all you 20 something BMIs! Is anyone else still in the 30s? I'm still obese apparently! Still have another half stone to just be overweight 🙄 The joys of being a shortarse 😂
I've been on mounjaro for 200 days today. 6.5 stone down and so much healthier. Life changing!

Motnight · 04/03/2025 07:16

Hi all. Started 12.5 yesterday. Absolutely shattered but then I often am! Lost another lb.

Motnight · 04/03/2025 07:20

@4pink1blue I am still very overweight. Will post one day how much I weighed at the start of last year. Suffice to say that I am still heavier now than many other posters were at the beginning of their MJ journey. All my own responsibility. I'm trying to take it one day at a time, I have at least a year to go of continuing to lose weight.

BettyandtheVets · 04/03/2025 07:44

@4pink1blue @Motnight I’ll be here for the long haul too. BMI still 33, down from 39.4 when I started. I’m an incredibly slow looser - I’ve lost 2.5st so average about 1lb per week.

At that rate I’ll be the longest standing Augustonian, and as I hardly ever post, the thread will likely die unless we keep the at goal posters sweet so they stay here 😁

4pink1blue · 04/03/2025 08:25

What a relief that i won't be all alone here!! I was BMI 47 when I started but still at 31 currently. Such a long haul! Can't wait to be overweight 😂.
My 200 day comparison pic.....

WitchDancer · 04/03/2025 08:29

@4pink1blue my bmi is still 32 so I'll be here long term too.

I do have a none scale victory - my bra fastening has 3 rows of hooks and eyes. I started on the biggest setting and am now on the smallest. I'll take that, thank you!

Azuresky68 · 04/03/2025 09:20

@4pink1blue fantastic progress, you are doing so well. My weight has been all over the place. Worst time for me was in my 50's. I posted a photo before at my heaviest...most people don't recognise me at all. Wish MJ had been around 20 years ago but never to late!

Azuresky68 · 04/03/2025 09:22

I will defnitely still be here on this thread when I am properly on maintenance...beginning after my holidays. This thread is my lifeline!

Azuresky68 · 04/03/2025 09:27

@owlyboothanks for your replies....please stay on the thread so we can support eachother and everyone else through maintenance....I feel that maintenance will be a massive challenge as I did it in 2020 and 2 stone sneakily crept back on ..I can't allow this to happen again!

owlyboo · 04/03/2025 09:57

@Azuresky68 maybe this time as you're so cross with yourself for last time you'll find it easier to be more on top of it so it doesn't happen again 🤞I'm just not going to allow myself to not weigh weekly. Set a range I need to stay within and if I go even a pound over reduce calories until I'm back within range.

Flowers to those with still a way to go but everyone has done so well so you've definitely got this!!!

Pens just arrived. Which was quick as only ordered them late Sunday night! And ice was still frozen solid thank goodness as obviously it's a worry when you order three! A lot of money to lose if something is wrong!

AWFUL nights sleep yesterday. Literally just couldn't sleep. But currently on the sofa playing board games with ds as he's off school poorly with a tummy ache so at least it's a go slow day!

owlyboo · 04/03/2025 10:04

And just to add, I know I've said it before but the weight coming off next for those with a few stone still to go will be more exciting as it'll probably have a much bigger change on your size and shape so hopefully will have a bit more incentive to keep going.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2025 11:26

@4pink1blue how on Earth can you be in 30’s. You look amazing and lost so much and in a size 12 if I R.E.M. correctly !

@Motnight tiredness is def a symptom - I’m often shattered as well. Well done on losing a lb And you are doing so well

it does bug me esp on the thread I linked about those who want to lose a stone and want mj. A stone ffs

most of us on here needed to lose 4st +. Yes some more. Some less but not a stone 🙄

we will still be on this thread hopefully a gear on to still be with you whether still losing or some of us maintaining

@BettyandtheVets again you are doing well. And losing so all going in right direction

@WitchDancer great NSV !!! They say to buy a bra and needs to be on loosest hook so that when they stretch you do on the tightest one

equally if lost boobs then even better

yes @owlyboo my last 1.5s + needs to make me go from a 16/17 to a 12

which not sure it will

im just going by last time and 11s and size 12

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2025 11:27

Also using mj makes it easier to lose weight. I agree it’s hard to maintain and not gain !

OP posts:
WitchDancer · 04/03/2025 11:31

@4pink1blue wow! You look amazing Flowers

weaselyeyes · 04/03/2025 11:48

Not sure you're left behind with a 6.5 stone loss @4pink1blue! I like your jauntier pose in the second one - you look so much happier.

owlyboo · 04/03/2025 12:19

@Blondeshavemorefun I think you'll be surprised and it will. It's got to shift from that area sooner or later!!

@4pink1blue looking fab as always!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2025 14:22

It certainly does have to shift @owlyboo

Just bugs me I can’t get into 16
