W4D1 and down 15lb

the exhaustion continues with the added bonus of being freezing cold. I have to tell myself constantly that this will pass. Next week I go up to 5mg and hopefully feel better or turn into an ice cube. Frankly it could go either way.

Ouskh have messaged asking for a full body picture this morning, I didn’t have to do one for my first prescription. Can anyone tell me if it is just dressed normally, please don’t tell me it’s an underwear shot 😳.

I was put off ordering from Oushk bc they ask for a full body shot WITH FACE showing! I don't like the sound of that I'm afraid so ended up going with Juniper who accepted a headless shot. They are one of the more expensive ones so I would like to change but I'm very paranoid about sharing photos online etc. It's strange how they all ask for different things - I didn't have to show ID to Juniper either.

Dozycuntlaters · 27/01/2025 12:22

Hi all, can I join you please. My pen is being delivered today so my first injection will be tonight. I've done lots of research but I am still nervous. Do you feel the effects straight away? Im going to do it before I go to bed so hopefully it'll be ok but I am bricking it a bit, which is daft.

I ordered from MedExpress, had to show a copy of my driving licence and a full length photo. I did the first photo with jumper and jeans but they rejected that one so had to do one with jeans and a bra.....which is bloody horrific and was deleted straight away.

HeavyHeidi · 27/01/2025 12:23

Hi Dozy, I did my shot Thursday evening and yes could feel the loss of appetite already Friday. There are also plenty of people who don't have such immediate effect, so don't be discouraged.

Dozycuntlaters · 27/01/2025 12:35

@HeavyHeidi Thank you. I'm worried about feeling sick the most, but have a friend who is on it and she said it wasn't pleasant but it wasn't awful either. Part of me is excited but part of me is thinking wtf am I doing, and what if I drop down dead. Which I know I wont but...........

I felt exactly the same and thought about it for a good 3 months plus before taking the plunge. It's been fine overall, any symptoms have been manageable. Wish I'd done it sooner!

cloudjumper · 27/01/2025 13:11

@Dozycuntlaters I also jabbed in the evening and felt the suppression immediately the next day. I'm almost 4 weeks in, and my main side effects have been feeling cold and dehydrated. Good luck!

My syringes have arrived, so I will see what I get out of the pen tomorrow evening... Feeling a bit naughty about this, as if I'm doing something illegal! I would usually never deviate from prescribed dosing 😳

I still feel like that! Week 1 was fine and I am due my second jab today…..but I still haven’t done it!! I still feel quite nauseous on day 7 but it comes and goes and isn’t at all unbearable

Upperroom · 27/01/2025 14:01

Lostatsea10 · 27/01/2025 10:03

Hi, hoping I can hop on and join. Planning on ordering first jab this week, I can’t bear feeling this way anymore. Haven’t weighed myself in months as too scared but will bite the bullet. My guess is around 90kg and at 5foot that’s a BMI of 39.

Feel very overwhelmed and a bit scared but motivated seeing all your losses though. I feel like I should take some supplements alongside but not sure where to start, has anyone got any recommendations?

Please bite the bullet! This feels like a miracle drug - all my emotional stuff around food seems to have vanished! i had very mild nausea the first day and then nothing! Wish I’d started last year.

I was the same as you, so nervous but all was fine and by day 6 felt so optimistic and had energy etc. However day 7 developed a really nasty UTI which i think was down to me getting a bit complacent and not drinking enough water.
So go for it but be sensible , there are some really good results on here.

discoballv · 27/01/2025 14:34

@Dozycuntlaters I was soooooo nervous about side effects. Like crazily anxious about it! But I did my first jab last Wednesday evening and have felt great every day so far apart from a very slight headache on Saturday morning, which isn't unusual for me anyway.

I was convinced I was going to be the first person to inject then immediately drop dead, which would be a feat since GLP-1 medication has been licensed for 20 years 😂

Tinydancer123 · 27/01/2025 14:35

Hi all , please can I join started Friday ! Was very unwell over the weekend. I hope you are all doing well

keeponplodding7 · 27/01/2025 08:20

I had the aching muscles and raised glands on day 2 of my first jab. Slightly nervous to see if it happens again as I’m not sure I’ll continue if it does……

Same here and felt so bad- worried for jab two !

MissPobjoysPonies · 27/01/2025 15:25

Wk5 day 3 (2.5mg)
.8lb off a stone loss

it’s really interesting seeing everyone’s losses. Although I’ve been disappointed not to have list loads more than 14lbs this is still the MOST consistent 2lb+ per week loss I’ve ever had.

I can live with that. I took before and after pics and I can really see a difference now!

JoanCollinsDiva · 27/01/2025 15:55

I've only had very mild nausea, a bit like morning sickness and felt a bit tired and headachey for the first couple of days after jabbing but then ok. Also just mild diarrhoea for a day or two and a bit of a yuck taste in my mouth. But most people seem to just be having mild side effects.

You'd be extremely unlucky to drop down dead 😂

Its working great for me so far - I just don't think about food at all. To be able to just plan my meals around my required calories and feel like il stick to it no problem is so weird (in a good way). Before I'd get anxious bc I knew I'd have days where I'd be starving and feeling pissed off that I had to deny myself or I'd end up caving and having a binge.

If this continues to work the way it is atm I don't feel like il ever binge again!

I just wish I could feel this way without paying £200 a month! It's worth it though. The real test will be when I've lost the weight and probably come off it. Unless it significantly dropped it price I can't justify staying on it long term.

How are the rest of you feeling about maintenance? Do you think you'll carry on long term?

keeponplodding7 · 27/01/2025 16:29

Did anyone find the nausea stronger day6/7? I’m struggling today and due the next jab……

littlepammie70 · 27/01/2025 17:09

W3D1, first week 5lb loss and second week 2lb loss. Side effects for me are burps and constipation, also had a period for the first time in over a year.
The food noise has been great as there is always biscuits open at work and I have not been tempted at all 🥳.
SW 15st 1lb
CW 14st 8lb
TW for May 12st

Randomusernameforcode · 27/01/2025 17:37

Wk 5 for me, so 4 actual weight loss weeks. I've just done the bonus dose using a syringe, it was incredibly easy to do. There was about 6.4 in the syringe which I was happy about as it meant I could be sure I had primed and got the bubbles out.

Out of interest I tried to break the pen after to see if it would have been possible. The pen was easy to break but the plunger didn't work so I'd have been screwed.

8.7lb down in four weeks which is not a great loss but one I'm happy with. I've been absolutely enjoying calorie counting and eating well. The positive change in mindset is worth as much as any weight loss for me. It makes me feel excited that there's a real chance of these habits becoming fully ingrained and doable even after I have finished with the jabs.

Moving up to 3.75 in a week and hoping for much of the same!

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 27/01/2025 17:52

Do we count the day we jab as Day 1 if we jab in the evening? If so, I’m on w1d6.
I feel like I still need willpower, it’s such a strong habit for me to buy sweets or chocolate when I’m driving, or a pastry in the morning, so those thoughts cross my mind all the time, but I haven’t acted on them even once. Somehow I feel I can say no to myself.
I don’t care if 2.5 isn’t a therapeutic dose, at the moment I’m coping and that’s great.

GrumpyMuleFan · 27/01/2025 19:08

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket I’d count an evening jab as day 1. I am the same about food - it’s crossing my mind, but I feel really comfortable saying no to myself. I’m really enjoying calorie counting and logging what I eat. Only just started w2, so very early days, but this feels very different to day 10 of a diet.

@Randomusernameforcode well done with your weightloss - I think it’s fab. 👏🏼👏🏼

I’m worried that im going to look gaunt - I can’t quite believe I said that, I’m obviously feeling optomistic. 🤣🤣 I met up with a friend recently who has lost a lot of weight via WLI and she looked so different around the face. I think she maybe went a bit too fast…. Anyway, I googled it lots amd all the sites recommend 2lb per week, weight training, collagen and lots of water. So maybe 2lb/week is just the spot to be. Does anyone have any good collagen recommendations?

fudge77 · 27/01/2025 19:11

Hi all,
Just had a disaster with my injection! I followed the instructions like usual (this was my 4th one) and the pen just wouldn’t inject! I kept trying again and again but it wouldn’t push down from the one to zero, my leg is like a pin cushion now from trying! Thank god I bought extra needle syringes to do the extra dose! I got one of them extracted the amount and injected it that way and it was much easier! At least I know how to do the bonus dose now I guess!
Has this happened to anyone else? I guess the plunger must have broken? I would have been very annoyed if I hadn’t bought the extra needles for the bonus dose next week as there was no way that 4th dose was coming out of the pen the normal way!

LAgeDeRaisin · 27/01/2025 19:32

Hello!

W2 D1
SW 100kg (15st 10)
CW 97.3kg (15st 4.5)
GW 70kg

Still catching up reading - only on page 11 of 2nd thread but thought I'd post my progress anyway. Pretty pleased and minimal side effects.

Does anyone else feel the stress of losing weight has now been removed? I've managed to lose weight before when trying (although have always regained with pregnancy and have had 3 babies in the last 4 years) but it's the feeling of knowing it's so much less likely you're going to have a blip/overeat. It's the not having to think about it, and not worrying about lapses in willpower when hungry.

I feel like mums have so much other crap to think about it's SO nice being freed of this part of the mental load.

Jins · 27/01/2025 19:34

W3 D3 and I’ve gained and lost the same 0.2lbs over the last few days so my total weight loss since starting out is 2.6lbs. This week I’ve been pretty hungry and I’m relying more on will power than suppression.

I’m trying to stay positive but I should have lost more than this just on calorie reduction alone. I always lose between 2-4lbs in week one of any diet I’ve ever tried and I’m heavier than I’ve ever been so should have lost a bit.

Ive got one more dose at 2.5mg, two if I do the bonus dose. I really need to go up to 5mg to see if that makes any difference but if it doesn’t then I’m calling it quits before I empty my bank account.

Randomusernameforcode · 27/01/2025 19:34

@GrumpyMuleFan I bought this one.
https://amzn.eu/d/a7fujYt

All the reading I've done suggests the powder is much better than the capsules.

I feel like I can taste it a bit and it makes me cringe! The reviews all claim it's tasteless though.

Oh, and also not suitable for vegetarians. Comes from cows which I think is what is giving me the ick as I don't eat red meat.
