Oh no I’m sorry to hear this. Is it that Wegovy dose is quiet low and room for that to go up?

do you know… the return of hunger & food noise terrifies me.
Now that I am 5.5 stone down, weight loss slower & know I can’t loose without MJ now, but worry about what if I can’t keep the weight off. I just don’t know how I will ever come off…

Did you taper?

I am wondering about spacing jabs out more like 8 day to help make my stock last longer but also deal with a little food noise?

I am planning on staying on the jabs for as long as I can afford it. Hoping that a low dose of Wegovy will help rather than switching back to Mounjaro which I can’t really afford.

travelforthesoul · 21/10/2025 06:22

I think I have 0.25mg so low. I will stick with it, but I think I need the dose increased for sure

BestDIL · 22/10/2025 22:00

@travelforthesoul yes definitely get it increased. You’re on the lowest dose so no wonder you can’t feel it working. Unfortunately I think you’re going to have to work up the doses. Only 5 different doses with Wegovy.

so i ordered a new prescription today and they have doubled it. I really hope it works because Im not putting all this weight back on. Its non negotiable.

So I'm still hovering round 79kg-ish. Food noise is back a bit, but frankly I'm really stressed at the moment with work and that always pushes me over the edge.

I will say I'm 100% sure I've not eaten enough to gain any weight. It's starting to upset me again that if I'm not actively hungry every day, I'm not losing weight.

I know it's silly, because I know the composition of my body has changed a lot (30 Aug I was less than 2kg heavier) and a size 12 pair of jeans I couldn't even get over my bum, I can now get on and do up, but it doesn't make me feel much better knowing that. I want to be a normal weight!

Sorry to bring it down. I'm feeling really really low tonight. Not really to do with the weight tbh.

travelforthesoul · 02/11/2025 19:14

Im sorry things are so stressy just now, I can understand that so much.

I have gained 2lbs this week. Im not impressed, the food noise and cravings are back. Not happy at all. And they want me to refill my prescription for Wegovy. I have no side effects, no funny taste in my mouth or nausea, but I want mounjaro, I feel more in control on it, eat less, feel fuller longer, dont feel 'starving' hungry and dont have food noise on it.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 03/11/2025 00:29

@LazyArsedMagician how are you now?
Hope feeling brighter.
my weight, slow loss, recent virus, difficulties at work & worry for mum is getting me down.
it’s hard to stay focussed & positive all the time but just keep hoping I can find it again after a downer . I hope you can too x

Reginaphalangeeeee · 03/11/2025 00:30

@travelforthesoul sorry WG not doing it for you. Could you go up a dose?

BestDIL · 03/11/2025 14:14

@LazyArsedMagician I hope whatever it was bringing you down, has gone away and you are happy again.

@travelforthesoul I'm having the same problem with Wegovy but I'm determined to stick with it, mainly as I can't afford MJ. I have just finished my first pen which was 1mg and the net result is up by 1.6lbs which I guess is not too bad. I go up to 1.7mg this week and hoping that will get rid of the food noise and supress my appetite a bit more. All the stuff that I've not been interested in the last 10 months, I now crave. Sweets particularly and I've started drinking coffee again which I'd not had since July (ish).

I do think that Wegovy is much more gentle than Mounjaro. I have had some side effects, constipation and indigestion but not as bad as before.

Hope you all have a great week x

travelforthesoul · 03/11/2025 17:46

Thanks @BestDIL hope you do too.

travelforthesoul · 06/11/2025 06:46

new prescription and im moved up again so lets see what happens.

BestDIL · 06/11/2025 09:59

I’ve just taken my first dose of 1.7mg. Like you @travelforthesoul I have fingers crossed that this will be better. Total gain from the first month on 1.0mg is 1.8lbs so not too bad in comparison with others. I think that 1mg will be my maintenance dose for sure - if I ever get to target. I have definitely been craving sweet stuff on Wegovy which had disappeared with Mounjaro but I have been trying to snack on good sweet stuff rather than bad sweet stuff. Grapes have been my go to which has had the added bonus of getting rid of the constipation. 🎉🥳

kittykarate · 06/11/2025 13:09

I've just had a frustrating online shop - bought a pair of XL running leggings from Decathlon (claimed to be size 14-16). Almost didn't fit! I'd also bought a snow skirt from dare2b, size 16, it's got about 4 inches spare the waist! What the hell?

Just goes to show how mad sizing is!

LazyArsedMagician · 06/11/2025 13:58

@kittykarate I have some size L leggings from Decathlon - they're a hair too tight round the waist for me now (bought many years ago!).

I also have some M yoga pants, recently bought, they're too big. Literally baggy round the waist and legs - apparently equiv to 10-12?!

Vanity sizing even in the last 5 years has gone mad. Seriously mad. I'm only 5 ft 4.5, so not tall at all, but even at 14 stone with a truly massive belly, I was finding that a size L was too big for me. Crazy.

BestDIL · 06/11/2025 14:37

@kittykarate and @LazyArsedMagician I've had exactly the same problem. I've not worn leggings for years as I just wasn't comfortable in them, same with skinny jeans.

I have been buying 12 and 14 slim jeans from Next so thought that skinny would be the same. I literally can't get my legs in them. Also got some yoga pants which are tight in the legs and baggy round the waist.

So for now I'm just sticking with my Next slim jeans. M&S are ok too but I struggle with high waists as I have a shortish body but long legs. As soon as I choose long legs, the body size increases too. It's been so bad on some that the waistband as almost been touching my bra!!

Nearly all my clothes recently have come from Vinted and I've not spent more than £10 on an item of clothing. Usually jeans for £3-5 a pair and jumpers around £5-6. I've also bought jeans, worn them until they were too big and then sold them on. I've even made a profit on some items!

So, weekly update for me.

Some points: I had my period last week; I started Sertraline and Propranolol last week also. 8th Wegovy 1mg shot.

I was 80.5kg last week (bit up from the week before), and am 77.8kg this week. Massive, huge, loss. Pretty sure this is due to a few things - I always have a bigger loss after a period (I guess I hoard water during that time period, and I'm generally hungrier!); it was my brother's wedding a couple of weeks ago, we ate out a few times as well due to half term so I've naturally eaten a lot less this week; nervous stress and energy has made me less hungrier this week.

According to my timeline tracking from when I started, if I'd lost 1kg a week I would be in Normal BMI (67kg) - I'm obviously 10kg over that, but I'll be honest, I've been doing a lot of Pilates and climbing and I know I have built quite a lot of muscle. So, I'm feeling ok about that.

Height: 164cm
Age: 43
Start weight: 108kg
Current weight: 77.8kg
Goal weight: 60kg (ish)?

Loss: 30.5kg. Wish I'd taken measurements!

That's a massive loss, well done you. So far into the journey too.

Warning - TMI poo info coming!

I look to be on for my first decent loss this week after a good few weeks of up a bit, down a bit. First jab of 1.7mg last week and I can definitely feel the effects. Suppression is much better and I'm finding that certain things that I could eat on MJ, I now can't on WG. I have been having a really small portion of fish and chips when the rest of the family have them but last night I'd been driving all afternoon and was knackered when I got home. Hubby picked up fish and chips, had my usual small portion but I spent half the night pacing around trying to figure out if I was going to puke it all up. Definitely the fish and chips as I'd not eaten very much throughout the day. Not eaten very much today and this morning had to dash for the loo. A blessed relief after weeks of constipation but blimey!!!

Hoping to get into the 11st bracket this week.

Height: 5'6"
Age: 60
Start Weight: 110.2kg (17st5lbs)
Current Weight: 76.3kg (12st0.4lbs)
Goal Weight: 66kg (10st7lbs)

Loss:
Self Control - 1st but put a bit back on
Orlistat - 1st but put a bit back on
MJ/WG - 3st10lbs (33.8kg)

I too wish I'd taken measurements but clothing:
Was: Top 22 Bottom 20
Now: Top 14 Bottom 12/14

BestDIL · 13/11/2025 10:45

Well I'm a very happy bunny. Weigh in today after first week of 1.7mg and I've lost 3.2lbs and got myself into the 11st bracket for the first time.

Hope everyone has a good week too!

changedusername190 · 13/11/2025 13:59

Can I join please I just started MJ yesterday.Ive got about two and a half stones to lose.

BestDIL · 13/11/2025 18:51

Welcome @changedusername190

LazyArsedMagician · 19/11/2025 11:39

Frustrated again.

I just don't understand my body. Granted, I'm not actively tracking calories, but I have done enough of that in the past to know that with two meals a day, one of which is probably two pieces of toast, I'm definitely not going over about 1500 calories. Yet, I weigh myself this morning and I'm apparently the same weight as two weeks ago.

I am still two stone over a normal BMI. Why will my body not let go of this weight?!

What are you eating? Need to prioritise protein and fibre.

BestDIL · 19/11/2025 15:19

How frustrating @LazyArsedMagician Are you exercising more? Muscle weighs heavier than fat. Is it wrong time of the month? I’m past that but remember it could make a big difference. I was plateauing on MJ 10mg it’s taken about 3 months to lose the last stone.

Also worth checking whether 1500 calories is low enough to lose weight. We’ve all lost so much that we need even less calories now to lose weight. Might be worth checking out.

I’ve just looked mine up and I should be eating around 1400 a day to lose weight

According to BMR calcs, anything from 1700-1900 is optimal for my height, weight and activity levels. I definitely have a lot more muscle.

@MeridaBrave I'm just eating normally, meat, veg whatever. Too few calories should equal weight loss regardless where the calories are coming from!

I know it's normal to fluctuate, it's just irritating. But, I'll persevere. It's exactly this sort of scenario where I would typically fall down every other diet I've done. So thank god for MJ and latterly Wegovy!

kittykarate · 20/11/2025 17:04

I've had a bounce back up as well this week - it is just so random, and it's a bit annoying as I'm close (but not at) my personal goal. I had a medical the other week, and I was still 37% fat. I had been hoping that under the lard was the body of an athlete, but it seems not!
