My blood test got delivered this morning and I keep checking in case they've uploaded results! They do say 2-3 working days so realistically it could be tue/wed.... checks again

I'll be the same once I have done mine!

Mine still hasn't been marked as delivered. As a complete doofus I didn't keep the royal mail details so not able to track it.

fruitj · 03/01/2025 21:42

I have the kit now, but it says only to take the blood test Monday to Thursday so I'll have to wait until Monday to do it and send it! Glad to hear about people's experiences though and now I know to have my ID at hand so thank you.

Kebabo · 03/01/2025 21:55

Snap. Possible dispatch early next week. Gutted.

My results from the blood tests are in the app. No surprises in them so hopefully I'll be given the nod.

KeenGreen · 03/01/2025 18:30

I haven’t got mine yet.

In ordered on 31st Dec, I got an email just now saying they are delayed due to demand and will ship early next week. 🤞

Ditto. Am now expecting it early next week!

LovingMentor · 06/01/2025 15:34

has anybody from Northern Ireland joined shemed? i read somewhere that you need to have a GP in England or Wales and i dont want to sign up and pay £49 to just be rejected.

Kebabo · 06/01/2025 20:51

Yeah, blood test marked as dispatched now. Have been watching lots of Tiktok, some truly amazing stories.

OP posts:
KeenGreen · 06/01/2025 23:52

@fruitj did you take the blood test today, how did you find it?

@LovingMentor unfortunately looks like you definitely need to have GP in England or Wales. Someone in the other thread got rejected after signing up for blood test from Scotland.

still waiting my blood test, marked dispatched in app but no tracking emails etc received so not sure if actually sent.

fruitj · 07/01/2025 00:19

@KeenGreen yes I did. It was easy, I got an email to say it's fine to take the test and then do the call.
I laid everything out and read the instructions then did it, I was amazed that it is totally painless!
Then called up, took about 10-15 minutes to connect with a clinician and she checked my ID and watched me weigh myself, and scanned the barcodes of the test and the royal mail envelope to send it back in.
I've posted it back now so awaiting confirmation that the lab have received it, and then my results.

KindKirst89 · 08/01/2025 04:46

I have just signed up to try the shemed injections. Very nervous of what to expect. Awaiting now over the next week or so for my blood testing kit to be sent out. Good luck everyone

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/01/2025 06:53

Welcome @KindKirst89 . I hope it arrives soon. It's really straightforward to do - just remember you need to fast (except water) and drink a pint of water 30mins before you do it. So it could be early morning!

I think this will be a busy week for our group with blood tests arriving/results and pens being sent out etc.

KindKirst89 · 08/01/2025 07:13

Yes I expect it will be busy.
I can imagine it's a lot of people who have decided weight loss is their new years resolution.

Kebabo · 08/01/2025 08:27

Hi all. Just had my email telling me my blood test is arriving tomorrow. As I work, I won't now be able to do it until Monday. Not sure what is involved. Can I do it really early Monday, before work? Do you have to be on the phone to someone? I'm a teacher and would need to call at lunch but then wouldn't get a chance to post?
Thanks

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/01/2025 08:36

@Kebabo You could do it before work if you can/have time . You can do it any time so 5/6am if you wanted to? It's more the faff as you can't eat or drink anything other than water for 6 hours and also have to have drunk a pint of water 30mins before. The actual call can take 20-30mins.

It needs to be posted somewhere that will go that day - you can check this on the royal mail website (little map with postboxes). Most of our postboxes have last posting of 9am! But therr were some dotted as late by post offices etc.

It really depends what you can fit in...

@Kebabo Could you get to a post office afterschool?

Our local post office is open until 5.30pm and has a last collection at 5.15pm

Best of luck!

I have just had a shipped notice from SheMed so will also be likely doing the Blood Test Monday all being well!

Kebabo · 08/01/2025 17:13

Keengreen we could be starting our journey at the same time! I need to lose about seven and a half stone.

It’s great there is a few of us starting around the same time :-)

I have about 4 stone to lose 🤞😊

xxCatCrazyxx · 08/01/2025 18:00

I’ve 4 stone to lose. Blood test ‘shipped’ today, I’m waiting for RM confirmation. I really just need to get started!

I think you and I are on exactly the same order to delivery timeframe. I had the same emails as you so far at the exact same times and I also preferred on 31st and today got the actual ETA of tomorrow for the test arriving. Not long now!

Kebabo · 08/01/2025 19:18

Who else is due the delivery of the blood test tomorrow? Perhaps we can all be each other's support.

OP posts:
KeenGreen · 08/01/2025 19:40

@Kebabo @Ahardyfool

Yes I am the same too around the same times!

I got Royal Mail email now also with delivery window of 8.30-12.30 tomorrow. As I’m WFH tomorrow I’m going to do it then and get it sent back!

You have to fast for 6 hours so no breakfast for me, and hopefully it won’t be too late!

I saw! Probably won’t be able to do mine tomorrow either due to being snowed in!
