So I weigh in at about 0730 Saturday mornings and if I haven't had a poo (TMI soz!) then it's never quite as good a loss as I hope. I weighed in at 92kg on Saturday, and 91.2kg today. We also had a birthday meal last night so not healthy, but also I didn't over indulge.

Start weight: 108kg
Current weight: 91.2kg
Goal weight: 60ish kg
Height:164cm
Age: 42
Shots taken: 16

This means in old money I've hit the magical 200lbs or 14 stone weight, which is so amazing I could honestly cry.

NSV for me - my feet and ankles are no longer like a swollen pregnant lady's feet, the sliders I bought for myself this time last year now fit without being uncomfortable, I can walk forever without getting uncomfortable, my rings fit (almost there with the engagement ring, I was about a stone lighter than this when I got that) and I feel like I'm becoming more "regulated" in my eating. I've slowed down, for a start, and while I admit this week I've eaten more bad things than I should (like I said - we've had a family birthday) it's not impacted my losses and I'm not dwelling on it.

Here's my chart. I'm finding this thread helpful to keep myself accountable tbh!

@Ruthrathbone what reason did they give for saying no?

You're the second (? I think) person to drop a comment like this on this thread, but who hasn't said why they were declined. Or are you saying that because of admin errors you've asked for your money back and to back out of the programme?

GoldLeader · 27/05/2025 20:15

@LazyArsedMagician yeah I agree with you that this thread is really helpful for keeping me accountable and motivating.

if I have a ‘meh’ week I know it’s not just happening to me, and the wins are shared!

also love a mini goal (although sub 14st/ 200lbs is a great milestone, congrats!) . Every half stone or drop to a new stone bracket is like another stepping stone and win for me. Or every 5kg. And by using both metrics the wins are constant 😂. Just flip back and forth and I’ve got new mini targets to reach!

although this week I had a pretty ridiculous win even for me. I’ve lost 23kg which… is the checked bag allowance for a suitcase. So congratulations to me, I’m a suitcase lighter since Jan 🤣. EasyJet must be loving me saving fuel costs.

also another spurious goal, I think by my check-in on Friday I’ll have lost 22% of my starting goal, (I’m just slightly under atm). And 22% is the ‘average’ amount of weight loss users can loose on mounjaro, as in its the amount quoted from the medical studies. So if I can reach it, then any amounts I loose after will be ‘above average’ spurious I know, but still I’ll take anything to keep moving forward!

GoldLeader · 27/05/2025 21:00

22% of my starting weight** not 22% off my goal!

BestDIL · 27/05/2025 23:32

Here are my stats, courtesy of Shotsy. Oh yes, swapping between metric and imperial, I can set little mini targets for myself. This little group is almost like being back at Slimming World or Weightwatchers without the humiliation i used to feel if I’d gained that week. My next target for myself if to get that BMI sub 30.

not much is showing on the scales at the moment but NSV of clothes sizes. Started off in 22 tops and 18 jeans and now I’m wearing 16’s in both. I feel so slim! Obviously a way to go yet but definitely on target

@LazyArsedMagician gr8 stats !!

GoldLeader · 28/05/2025 02:40

@BestDIL you’re so close! Only 0.5 to go to reach 30 BMI

30bmi is a ‘big’ goal for me, I’ve been eyeing it up for a while but I’m still at least a month off it, possibly 2. But perversely I’ll be so happy to be ‘overweight’ because it’ll mean I’m not ‘obese’ anymore! Still a bit to go for me (I started at 42 BMI, and I’m currently 32) but you’re within touching distance! So close! You’re going to do it so soon!

BestDIL · 29/05/2025 09:36

Check in day for me today. 1.2lbs off which is ok. BMI 30.3 soooooo close! I’ve had to fill in the questionnaire today and I’ve asked to go to 10mg. Fingers crossed that’s what they send me.

kittykarate · 29/05/2025 10:31

I had my check in on Tuesday, 200g or so gained. First jab at 7.5 done - fingers crossed no major side effects so far, though have had quite strong metal mouth and feeling a bit more chilly again.

GoldLeader · 30/05/2025 10:39

Morning all, check in day for me.

2lbs loss ‘banked’. it was looking like it might be more than that this week as I’d had swings much lower at the beginning of the week, but I had a pretty huge dinner last night and I’m defo feeling loaded this morning so I’ll take the 2lbs and maybe a little head start for this week once the food belly clears. (First time I’ve actually stopped and noticed a fully noticeable food baby for ages. Pre Mounjaro my belly was pretty much always a giant watermelon so it never mattered!)

that does mean I didn’t hit my goal of 22% loss from starting weight yet, so @BestDIL we’re both going to have to wait another week to get our ‘big’ wins in. (30bmi here you come!)
but I still have the 23kg goal banked this week, so I’m still an EasyJet suitcase lighter! If that’s not a weekly goal win I don’t know what is. 😂

@kittykarate yeah I noticed the cold back on the first week of 7.5mg, but I also have realised that when coldness happens I tend to have good losses over the next couple of days so for me now it’s ‘pop a jumper on and feel happy it’s working’. at least now it is, at the beginning I was like ‘wtf is happening to me’. I’ve mentally switched to ‘trust the process’ I guess.

Added my graphs which now have a complete May, I love my year graph and its smooth trend down. My weekly graph is also smooth this month, I’ve managed to have at check-in 2lbs of loss consistently every week. Which really doesn’t show the roller coaster movements within the weeks at all. I like to weigh in myself most mornings to get a consistent feel of how things are going- I do not have the will power of you people who just weigh in once a week!

GoldLeader · 30/05/2025 11:12

ooh forgot to say-

Non scales victory- I wore a pair of size 14 trousers all day earlier this week and they …fit ?!?!

this might be completely normal for some of you, but I started this year as a solid size 20, and I have always had a giant bum (where was Kim K when I was a teenager?!)

Im realistically a size 16 right now, but I’ve been noticing some of my 16’s are getting a little looser (just as had previously happened dropping from 20 to 18, then 18 to 16) so I figured I’d give a pair of 14’s a whirl. And they were ok!

granted they were a brand I know sometimes comes up a little generous, my first step into 16 trousers this year were with the same brand -Seasalt.

and while I’d probably call them ‘snug’ I worked at home all morning then drove into the office that afternoon and they were completely fine, didn’t feel like my legs were caged sausages at any point or anything!

back in 16’s clothes since but the thing is- I know I can! And I can see it happening with other clothing. I can actually believe that in a couple of weeks or so instead of being a ‘realistic size 16’ I’ll can be a ‘realistic size 14’ something I really didn’t think was going to happen at the beginning of the year!

kittykarate · 30/05/2025 11:17

Congrats @GoldLeader ! I've pulled some of my 'have they shrunk?' jeans out of storage after I realised I could take my jeans down after only undoing the top button!

BestDIL · 30/05/2025 11:30

@GoldLeader we really are at roughly the same point. I, too, have tried on 14's bottoms this week and they are fitting. I'm off on holiday in 3 weeks and have had to buy new clothes. I've only bought 14 bottoms and 16 tops as I figured that we are all only going in one direction and that's down so it's not like pre-MJ when there was probably no chance of getting into them. I went up to the loft and dragged down my "small" clothes and found quite a few items still with the tags on!

Your graphs look great - 2lbs a week is good steady loss. I weigh daily as I once read that people who weigh daily stay slimmer than those who don't. That made sense to me as I guess if you gain a pound or two, then you can do something about before it's a stone or two. I notice that when I don't weigh everyday it's like I am burying my head in the sand and then when I get on the scales, it a shock! Obviously that was all pre-MJ.

Just heard from SheMed that my next pen will be 10mg so I'm very happy with that. I've only noticed the cold a couple of times but put it down to the weather. Maybe it was MJ.

BestDIL · 05/06/2025 07:39

Aargh. Check in day today. Just missed BMI target this week. Last 7.5mg 0.8lbs off and BMI is 30.1. Aah well, fingers crossed for next week.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

GoldLeader · 06/06/2025 15:18

Ah sorry @BestDIL You only need a tiny amount and you’ll be under 30, which should be definitely before you go away on holiday! And can then rest easy with target reached for time away!

You may not want to hear this, but I had a bit of an amazing week.

I have, albeit surprisingly, lost 5lbs this week. 100% certain some of it was last week when check-in was ok but I was feeling super full from the night before.

Which means I smashed the 22% loss from starting weight goal I didn’t get last week, (woop woop it’s all ‘above average’ from here).
It also means I’ve now reached both 25kg lost, and … 4 stone lost! I’ve basically smashed the 3 goals I was aiming for over the next 3 weeks and need to re-calibrate some targets 😂.

Its kind of a lot to loose 7lbs/half a stone in 2 weeks after so many months in, but I’m guessing it’s because of my move up to 7.5 after struggling on the 3rd 5mg pen might have given me a temp boost. I’m assuming next week will be pretty minimal to balance!

SW 111.1 kg/ 17st 7lbs
CW 85.7kg / 13st 7lbs

lost 25.4kg / 4st !

GoldLeader · 06/06/2025 15:24

kittykarate · 30/05/2025 11:17

Congrats @GoldLeader ! I've pulled some of my 'have they shrunk?' jeans out of storage after I realised I could take my jeans down after only undoing the top button!

Love it! I kept wearing a pair of trousers I really liked until I realised they were only staying on because I was yanking a belt super tight. Without it they just slid off whenever I went to the bathroom! I basically realised I needed to give up the ghost and accept they were too big and if I really wanted to wear them buy the same pair in a smaller size 🤣.

A Ridiculous non problem, but still, a great problem to have right?

BestDIL · 06/06/2025 17:44

That's a great loss @GoldLeader , I'm genuinely thrilled for you.

I've been struggling the last few weeks on 7.5mg as feel like it's not working very well. I was mooching round the cupboards on Tuesday and Wednesday which is normal before weigh in on Thursday but caught myself doing it last night too!

Roll on next week, I should get below the magical 30 and then onto to 10mg which with a bit of luck will kickstart the reasonable losses.

I, too, have jeans I can take off without undoing button and zip. I've started tumble drying them to make them smaller but it doesn't last very long! Need to have another trawl on Vinted/eBay to get some more interim jeans!

travelforthesoul · 07/06/2025 19:55

10mg is kicking my arse. Ive been sick twice now on it - day of and day after injection and I feel yuk, BUT my clothes are hanging off me and I can get my jeans off without even undoing the button.
Today I had to buy new knickers in a 14 - Ive not had that size knickers for many years. Im so happy. So although the scales are a loss of a 1lb, 2lb my clothes are telling a very nice story.

I also think I need to up my water intake, Ive been quite lax the past week, work has been manic busy so drinking water was forgotten about.

BestDIL · 08/06/2025 22:15

@travelforthesoul. That’s great news about the clothes.

I’m now a little nervous as I’m going to 10mg this week. I hate being sick! I’d rather feel ill for days than vomit!

Ive noticed that I’m losing more hair than usual and my nails are really weak. Going to try biotin (I think that’s the stuff). Apparently it’s the only thing that can strengthen hair and nails but I’m open to any other tips from any of my MN chums

travelforthesoul · 09/06/2025 06:45

@BestDIL I used to take collagen and that works for hair, nails and skin. I have lots of hair so not struggling with it thinning, but I have noticed more coming out when brushing.

you can also get the supplements specifically for hair and nails, not sure how effective they are though. And thank you, feeling it in my clothes means more to me than scale change I think. It will happen when it happens.

BestDIL · 12/06/2025 07:40

Whoop whoop. I’ve done it. BMI now 29.8!! Next mini target is to get into 12st bracket.

2lbs off this week and first jab at 10mg.

Hope you’re all having a great week x

LazyArsedMagician · 14/06/2025 13:02

Hi all.

Feeling a bit dejected this week as have stayed the same for three weeks.

I've not done anything drastically different, but I have noticed that on 2.5 and 7.5 has been when I've seen my lowest losses, and I'm in my second pen of 7.5.

I'm still 90kg/33.5BMI so it's not because I'm approaching a normal weight!

I really need to add in some exercise, but....honestly I just don't want to. Yes I probably have time for ten minutes a day, but I'd rather stay in bed a bit longer, read a book, do anything. I also don't want to get sweaty and have to factor in another shower daily. It's just annoying.

Never mind. At least I'm not falling off the wagon which has every single time I've tried to lose weight been my downfall. I'm not hungrier or anything, my food intake hasn't changed, so really not sure why I've hit a plateau. Probably just my body.

BestDIL · 14/06/2025 16:39

@LazyArsedMagician. I had the same thing on 7.5 but after 3 days on 10mg I’ve struggled to eat. Feeling generally off stomach wise. However I can feel that I’ve lost weight in the last few days.

See if they will give you 10mg next. I put it in the bottom box of the refill questionnaire.

Like you say, there’s no falling off the wagon with MJ. Chin up x

LazyArsedMagician · 14/06/2025 17:21

Thanks @BestDIL

I think I've got one more to go on this before probably being bumped up to 10mg. We'll see!
