I do understand that a lot of people have been skeptical about this cheaper option for getting hold of the Mounjaro medication, and I read a lot of content about SheMed on this site and how some people thought it was a scam, so I delayed joining the programme.
I have to say that since I read about the company in a national newspaper article on Mounjaro, where it was made clear that this was a clinical trial, with applications accepted until 31st of January 2025, not simply another pharmacy promo selling cheaper Mounjaro, I was no longer surprised that they implied you had to stay on the medication for a year, although you can give notice part way through. I've been involved in clinical trials before, and they do expect some commitment to the process.
I assume that this is the reason why the £99 pound price doesn't increase over time as you get higher potency supplies.
I completed my blood test last weekend, posted it off this last Monday, and heard back at the end of the week that I had been accepted onto the trial. I was impressed by the fact that they insist that your GP is kept in the loop regarding your progress and involvement in the trial. Sounds less and less like a scam, don't you think?
Anyway, I now have my medication, but as yet, have received no instructions as to how to inject myself with it. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do it with guidance over the phone like I had to do with the blood test, or whether I just crack on and do it on my own. Does anyone know if I should be waiting for instructions to arrive on the app or by email?
