Just be careful of the added ingredients gums binders sugars etc
a good multivitamin might help, I use a whole foods one by cytoplan. I have to seriously work on my diet and getting in the necessary if my appetite gets suppressed. I’m not doing very good at that presently! About to do blood test in morning

Thanks @MorrT I've looked and it seems ok but I would only have this as an occasional thing when I'm short on time. I'm lucky that I work from home 95% of the time so have plenty of time to make lunches. I have some multivitimins but will look at those you suggest.

Hi everyone, quick question. So I got my blood results back, but heard nothing further so I messaged them. They said I have been accepted but still no official email or update on app although was advised it woudl be posted Friday or over the weekend. Last night I had still not heard anything or even notified of dispatch so I contacted them again and was advised the medication has been prescribed but there is a back log from the pharmacy to dispatch.
I still have not recieved anything official via app or email was this the same for everyone else been waiting nearly a week from blood results and I see some have had a dispatch within a day or two.
Thanks

I bet there is a backlog as Friday was the last day to apply. I suspect lots of people took up the offer which is why you’re waiting. Hang in there, I’m sure you’ll get it soon x

Thank you, I do believe you're right. I guess I'm just excited to start my journey. But I would have hoped for some better communication.

I'm in the same boat - got my blood test results on Saturday morning. Cholesterol bad but everything else OK. Am hoping I'll get accepted on that basis, has anyone else got accepted with bad cholesterol? The app just says the results have been passed to the clinician.

I believe that they actively want people with things like this to show the effect of losing weight with MJ. From reading up,this is what the study is all about. We get the cut price MJ in return for weekly check ins, monthly questionnaires and the blood tests. I’ve see posts from people whose bloods were in the red zone in every test. Don’t think you have anything to worry about.

I had a nightmare with my blood test as I didn’t look when sticking it to my arm and went straight over my BCG scar. Got a couple of drops of blood which they only tested for diabetes which was well in the green zone. I’ve been told they are sending me another blood test kit in February.

Same, my cholesterol was very high and I've been told I've been accepted but the app hasn't updated. X

Hi everyone am wondering ....still waiting to hear from clinician every time look at app I for chat I press it , it says something like are you accepted if I go to" no not yet "it says do not submit in case your deleted and can't get on later so I always exit .
Tonight I had a notification fb saying am in shemed community group?
Went to app and question bit to join gone ...so did they add me even though I don't know if am accepted .
Sorry for long winded post lol 😅

HappySonHappyMum · 04/02/2025 19:49

Had an email this afternoon saying my prescription has been approved! £99 has come out of my account and I'll get a despatch notice soon. Can't actually believe it - now I've got to really get me head around doing this and what a lifestyle change it needs to be. Hopefully it won't take long to arrive.

That's great 👍 can I just ask when you got your blood results back? Just I've been waiting over a week and haven't had any progress. Just wondering what the average wait it like at the moment as I am waiting for the pharmacist to do the prescription.

How strange that they’ve added you to FB group without telling you that you’ve been accepted. I would take this as good news. See if the app updates overnight and if not, see if you can contact them through the website rather than the app.

@Kebabo that is an incredible loss!

I do wonder how 2.5 not considered a therapeutic dose with this impact! A stone in a month!

Weigh in and 3rd Jab today ... I lost 2lb this week, im happy with that, I have a rotten throat infection so really expected to etain water and not loose 😅

SW : 186lb
CW : 178lb
Total Loss : 8lb

Ahardyfool · 05/02/2025 14:18

Reading the comment about 2.5mg being enough and having listened to Dr Tyna Moore talking about micro dosing does leave me wondering how I’ll feel about progressing up the doses.
I have lost 1.5 stone since the second week of January (started MJ on 24th Jan) and have had to work hard to increase my intake this week as my losses are just too quick for comfort. Have lost a kg since last Friday and have 2 days to go until my next official weigh in with SheMed. Must say though that I found it easier to eat this week than last so maybe il be ready for 5mg in a couple of weeks’ time. Less sure about the bigger doses…

Brilliant 👏🏼
Thank you for starting this thread. I found it when I was researching MJ so joined Mumsnet to see how things went for people.
I took the plunge & finally ordered on 31st after following everyone’s experiences.
I did my blood test yesterday & since then found a SheMed users Facebook page that is now giving me 2nd thoughts. It seems that a lot of people are having severe side affects yet this thread reports none or very mild.
Just popped back over here for some reassurance 😊 & to thank you & others for sharing your journey.

I have found the that the FB group is full of scaremongerers so am sticking with this thread instead. I am due my third dose tomorrow and apart from a little indigestion, I have had none of the side effects.

My theory is that those people who are having the side effects are not following a healthy diet at the same time. That's essential as all MJ does is block the hunger signals to your brain and slows down your digestive system so that you feel fuller for longer. The times that I have had indigestion, is when I have perhaps had a larger meal than I should or when I've eaten bread!

SheMed send a lovely care package with MJ which covers all the bases with side effects. I'm sure you will be fine.

Welcome to our journey!☺️
