I'm really happy this morning as I've finally gone down under 11 stone. I'd been hovering there for what seemed like ages, and suddenly this morning I was 10st 12.6. I'm still on 5mg as that seems to work for me. I am going to ask Asda if they supply maintenance doses as my goal weight is 10lbs away and I don't want to be cut off completely when I hit it.

Woohoo!!! Congratulations on breaking into those 10’s!!! 💪🎉

Cantbesure · 15/01/2025 15:59

Lots of updates today!

Im also struggling with constipation. I've had a kiwi in its skin and a big gloopy glass of chia seeds today. Hoping this helps.

@LilyRose88 amazing work on getting into 10s and being so close to your goal weight. Thats very exciting.

@RayonSunrise hope you don't develop full blown covid. I'm also in a plateau right now and not sure whether to stay on 5 or move straight up. Ideally I wanted to stay on lower doses. I am calorie counting but the scales are being stubborn.

@Ralala I wish I'd gone off alcohol. I can still drink as much as before which I don't think is helping with my weight. I had a family funeral and got a birthday night out this weekend and then I just want to not drink for a while.

@TeenLifeMum that's encouraging to hear that 7.5mg is a good dose for you and you are feeling more like yourself.

@Pumpkinforever that's an amazing loss. And on 2.5mg. You must be a super responder.

Week 11 jab done yesterday. I am still on 2.5. Lost another 1lb

SW 14 stone 12 / 101.1kg
CW 12 stone 9 / 86.6kg
GW 10 stone

Total loss 2stone 3lbs / 14.1kg

Might go up to 5mg for February. Off on holidays tomorrow and taking my pen with me.

Congratulations and have a lovely break!

I weighed myself this morning and was 15 stone 0 and 3/4lb! Just a lb from edging into 14 something. Hoping to get there by tomorrow! Have had fruit & fibre for breakfast in case it helps! 😂

Woohoo! 💪

Pumpkinforever

i am still on 2.5, I’m considering moving up to 3 to try it. I feel my body is getting used to the 2.5 and food noise sneaking back in. Although I am trying to use
willpower as well.
My weigh/ jab day is tomorrow but I am a daily weigher and I have lost 2 lbs this week. However through experience I know my weight loss this week reflects my efforts last week if that makes sense.

It does - congrats on the 2lb loss!

I’m also working towards a 10 😁 I was stuck around 11.5 for ages, but I’m now moving down again. 11.4 was the most I weighed when pregnant (!?!!) so it has been a significant marker for me since then. I am now slightly below that, which feels great. Hopefully we both hit that 10 soon!!

Great result!

I am sort of glad it wasn’t stress, and I think now I have a good solution I can sort it quickly. I do love dates, but I find it hard to stop eating them 😁 I’m such a sugar addict!

I've found it difficult to eat more than 3 in a sitting now. So weird - before MJ I could easily have finished a punnet....!

i know there’s a lot of nervousness about the higher doses (I was nervous but food noise was too loud). I’ve started 7.5 on Sunday and had zero side effects. 2.5 I had lots of headaches, coldness, exhaustion and 5mg was similar but nothing on 7.5. Feeling myself again.

That's encouraging to hear 😌

Hello lovelies! Am on W8 D3 and my 2nd 5mg pen, and my losses have stalled slightly. I think this is because a combo of very busy new job + fighting off what I think may be covid (went through the kids at Christmas, they're still recovering) means my exercise has dropped off. My appetite is still suppressed and I'm eating healthily, I'm just not pushing hard on the weight loss compared to before.

Will see how this week goes (PLEASE don't let me get properly ill), and then I'll be looking at ordering my next pen. Am toying with getting the 7.5, haven't yet decided. Still only 8kgs down of the 20 I'd like to lose, so...

8kgs though is a tremendous result! How is your inch loss doing? Maybe focus on that?

@Cantbesure hope the kiwi & chia helps but just to warn you chia has the opposite effect on me unless I drink lots & lots of water! (& I drink a lot of water compared to most people)

Cantbesure · 15/01/2025 17:08

@Arglefraster oh no!! I thought I was doing the right thing. I'd best start drinking water!!

You are! But unless the chia is very very well soaked before you eat it it will absorb water from your digestive tract. I'm sure all will be well so long as you're really well hydrated!

Cantbesure · 15/01/2025 17:13

@Arglefraster it was soaked for at least 15 minutes. Lots of it longer as I don't find it too easy to get down. I'll up my water as well. Thanks for the tip!

Not weighed in but feeling so down. Ordered a few new bits of clothing in a size 20 for my mini break. They don't fit. Wide leg jeans are long and look awful (and I'm 5'7) swimsuit looks horrendous and my dress is fine but long and too big in the chest. Was in the sale so not worth altering. Was really hoping to go away feeling a bit better about myself but I feel like shit.
Bad day at work hasn't helped.

Really sorry to hear you're feeling down :-( I remember from the last time I lost loads of weight, I looked awful in everything for a phase. I was sort of between sizes and a funny shape so nothing looked nice.

SerenePeer · 15/01/2025 18:45

Feeling very sorry for myself this evening.

In London for work and thought I'd managed to avoid d&v this week by giving myself a lower dose on Monday and being very careful with what I ate.

But no. I've just christened the toilet in my hotel room. Thankfully it waited until I left the office and got back to my hotel before it hit, so thank goodness for that. Bleurgh.

Hoping that now my system is empty, I will be OK for tomorrow. big sigh 😢

SerenePeer · 15/01/2025 19:30

Oh. I was wrong. My system wasn't entirely empty. So that's nice. Urgh. Vomiting in a toilet that isn't your own really is a bit grim.

lovealongbath · 15/01/2025 19:40

I will join in with the feeling down posts 😢
im crying as i type this but i think its just the days events catching up with me.

I met a friend for lunch and was very careful , chose soup and we had a cheesecake to share. It was quite delicious. Then a wee wander , in the winter sunshine feeding ducks. It was all very serene.

Then I got a call to say my son had been involved in an accident.
I got in the car and drove the 20 miles to where he was. The worry and anguish driving there, My stomach was churning and I just knew I had to stop at Lidls so I could pebbledash their toilet.
On approaching the accident the road was closed. Emergency vehicles everywhere. I got out the car and I was allowed through. My son is physically ok, I am not sure about mentally as it was a very traumatic experience .

When I got home, what did I reach for? Chocolate and a cider!
I feel sick now but I think that is the adrenaline dropping as well.

SerenePeer · 15/01/2025 19:43

Oh @lovealongbath how awful! Glad your son is OK physically but that must have been such a massive shock. Try not to beat yourself up over the chocolate and cider. I think that would be a normal reaction for most people!

Cantbesure · 15/01/2025 19:48

I'm so sorry @lovealongbath I'm glad your son is physically ok. What a dreadful shock.

PinkArt · 15/01/2025 19:53

I'm not fucking surprised @lovealongbath ! There are days to focus on good habits and there are days to take that comfort in whatever form it takes. What a traumatic afternoon.
Given your username would a bath help you try to relax a little this evening?

LindtCurves · 15/01/2025 20:03

@lovealongbath that's a major life event to be going through!! Cut yourself some slack. Your son being ok is so much more important than having a bit of choc and cider to calm down one night.

Hope you're ok!!

lovealongbath · 15/01/2025 20:06

Yes, a bath is a good idea !

Novjaro · 15/01/2025 20:07

So glad your son Is ok @lovealongbath. As others say, try to cut yourself some slack - an evening of comfort eating and drinking won’t make a difference overall, you just do what you have to do to get through.
