I'm so sorry you got them BUT I also feel validated!

And this is the joy of these threads - support for all of the aspects of the journey.

@Mounjaropen can I just say you’ve been brilliant throughout these five threads? You’ve been there every step of the way for all the posters here, and I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone here when I say I really appreciate it.

@TeenLifeMum how adorable! Those eyes 😍

Little update from me - finally hit the 2 stone loss on Saturday when I weighed in. I also jabbed my first dose of the 7.5mg pen and had a mild headache. I always jab around 9pm at night so I can sleep through any potential symptoms.

I have swallowed my pride and joined the gym. It’s a small gym that do HIIT style sessions. I did my first session today (I was the biggest person there out of 12 women 🫣) but I’m motivated to keep going.

Keep up the good work everyone!

You are very kind - but I have to say I am getting a huge amount out of these threads too. I absolutely want to remain accountable for both my weight and choices and you guys are such a support to me too 🥰

Anyone in our wee group ordering from MedExpress?

If so, can you check your account please, has your dashboard changed?

I appear to have lost my referral code.

Scroll down and click on there.

Also excellent news on both the weight loss and gym membership. Please pay no attention to anyone else’s size and don’t let your perception of how you look put you off. Our biggest challenge towards the end of the year will be actually recognising ourselves at a healthy weight and not as ‘the big lady’ 💪🏻

Well done @LimeLace that’s fantastic! I’m still making a monthly donation to our local gym and not attending 🙈

Come on, big girl pants on time 😉.

I REALLY didn’t fancy my new Pilates challenge today - I looked at all 4 classes for the week’s schedule and none of them were under 45 mins 😂 But I lit a couple of scented candles in the room and got on with it after my 45 min incline treadmill walk. I feel so much better. You will too. Take an ipad and watch a TV show whilst on a bike or treadmill. You can only eat an elephant one bite at a time…..!

Completely agree with your first point @Mounjaropen is our queen cheerleader

@LimeLace well done for signing up! HIIT is a tough work out but so satisfying when you’ve done a class. I’m sure no one else thought about your size! I’m sure you’re killing it 💪

You are kind 🥰

It was also the last option on my dashboard under the heading refer and you could see if anyone had used your code and if you had been credited £40 for someone using your code.

Ooh. I hadn’t noticed that at all.

@lovealongbath I've just checked and it's gone back to how it used to be. So at the bottom of the big boxes there is smaller text and one says referral scheme. Click on this and then on get my code. This should work.

I’m rehearsing for panto at the moment so no time outside of that and puppy training. In February, once the show is over, I’m returning to the gym!

Cantbesure · 06/01/2025 17:47

@TeenLifeMum oh the puppy is gorgeous. But also jealous you've got loads of dogs!! How many?

Well done on the gym @LimeLace I'm like you @TeenLifeMum and donating to pure gym without actually going. Some local friends are at the leisure centre gym and attend classes. It will be £10 a month more but I think I've probably got more chance of going if my friends are attending classes. Currently mulling it over. Plus there's a pool.

@MounjNewb I'm up at least 4x for a pee and I hate that before I didn't get up now it takes longer to sleep then I'm up about 2 hours later so I'm knackered the next day

TeenLifeMum · 06/01/2025 19:01

@Cantbesure just 2. 4yo cocker spaniel and this 2 month old sprocker. They come and sit at my feet and she copies the big boy so much. It’s super cute.

Yep, I can no longer go through the night without needing a wee since starting MJ…. So infuriating!

Completely. I’m being realistic.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/01/2025 19:14

Ugh, spent all day feeling sickish, having diarrhoea and shivering despite all the heating being on. I’d be surprised if it’s a MJ reaction 3 days after jabbing and after no previous side effects, so either a bug or I’m allergic to being back at work.

It’s time for me to order my next pen.

my first 2 pens have been 2.5mg.

Thinking of ordering 2.5mg for my Third pen as I think suppression is still high .
I injected on Thursday so today is day 3.
Today I have eaten 2 boiled eggs at 10.30, At 1pm I had protein drink . Sunday dinner consisted of a very small portion of chicken and ham pie and I couldn’t eat all the pastry, I potato and a small corn on cob kernel.
I feel stuffed!

Given this is the suppression I am experiencing, should I stay on 2.5?

Personally, I would order the 5 (as I think most providers charge the same?) and use 2.5, but still have to options to move up if needed a couple of weeks in.

lovealongbath · 06/01/2025 19:26

AllstarFacilier

i did think about that, but my plan has always been to stay on as low a dose as possible to allow a degree of will power so I can mentally re train my brain.
I am on week 7, and because the suppression is still high , I am really having to push myself to eat 1000 calories a day.
Although I must confess, tonight I had sugar free jelly, with ice cream and mandarins and it was lush 🧡

murraymcgill · 06/01/2025 20:02

@Mounjaropen it'll be worth it in the end hopefully by April ill be near my goal weight, still waiting on my new scales

At 2 stone off I’d imagine people have noticed but these days don’t want to comment in case of causing offence. It’s a huge achievement, congratulations! 🙌

I’m the same 2 pound off two stone and not one person as noticed, said this to DH and he asked if I was doing it for me or ‘others’ which he has a point, but still ! Though I do love this MJ , I’am eating healthy and for me calorie counting is what I need, and exercise, never get the starving feeling or the ‘shaking’ when desperate to eat anything, which is good. Smaller portions don't scare me with the thought I’m not full or going to be hungry any more and motivation high, keep going , drink plenty of water and have healthy food at hand x

1lb loss this week
Moved up to 5mg from 3.75mg today.

Have been back to the gym this week. Need to eat more veges as have been craving carbs as soo cold!!

PandasMum · 06/01/2025 22:54

I started trying to switch to MedExpress as I can’t really afford Asda but because I’ve previously been diagnosed with gallbladder disease I’m not eligible to continue - presumably because of the increased risk….except I don’t have a gallbladder anymore so it’s a bit silly! Ah well I just feel lucky to have found it somewhere anyway
