Hi all; ordered my 10 from med express and it still hasn't been dispatched - it states - Repeat prescription is restricted
until Wednesday, 15 January

Has anyone else had this?

Yes, it’s as you are ordering too soon from your last one. You must have just ordered the last one.

terracottacountryfarm · 05/01/2025 12:21

@Losingthetimber I last ordered on 1st December, so I ordered exactly 1 month after so there shouldn't be an issue surely?!

TiredOfEverythingNow · 05/01/2025 13:52

Late to the party. Started end of October. Took my first dose of 7.5mg this week. So far lost approx 18lbs. Doesn't seem like a lot for the cost of it over 2 months ?

Also struggling with terrible tiredness. Any tips?

HansHolbein · 05/01/2025 13:57

@Losingthetimber 3 bin bags gone! Wardrobe is pretty much bare now Grin

@letshavetea Thank you. I did the thigh and it was painless. I feel it more when I inject my tum. I thought the thigh would be painful. After my clear out I am now down to two pairs of trousers. I won’t buy any more yet.. maybe after another stone?!

I feel uncomfortable with weight comments when people then ask too many (what I feel are) private questions. Eg how much have you lost, how much do you still want to lose. It feels like they're doing maths in their heads and judging me for being so fat in the first place.... Although I am always chuffed with a basic uhhh you've lost weight, well done (usually say a gracious and pleased thank you and then try to change the subject before the questions start)

Genuinely, if I ever ask about someone's weight and loss, it's to gain information and tips so I can apply it for myself. Have always thought that too if people ask me and im very open about using MJ as i would love it if it helped someone else. Isn't it astonishing how differently we all think.

AnneinEdinburgh · 05/01/2025 15:41

I ordered 2nd 7.5 from medex. The first one had delivery problems and arrived late room temp. They refunded it and said you could use it for 30 days if it was at room temp, which meant in theory not using the last dose. I ordered my next 7.5 on 30th Dec thinking they would wait to dispatch till it could be done without melting. However their tracking shows dispatch 30th and die to arrive this evening. What is everyone's thinking on using more than 30 days if its been out of fridge? I.put my pens into the fridge as soon as ggry arrive.

Hi, I started mounjaro a month ago - I usually frequent the 'December starters' thread but wanted to ask advice from those who have been doing this longer.

I went up to 5mg on Friday and have been feeling headachey and nauseas. I have very little appetite though, which is a plus!

Have people found these symptoms pass after the first few days of a new dose level? And what helps? Am wondering if some of it could be down to dehydration.

Yes I had that my first two jabs of 5, it settled down, and am now in 10 happily

BigTightropeWalker · 05/01/2025 16:37

Thanks @Losingthetimber that's very encouraging! Can you remember how long it lasted (not that we're all the same I realise)?

BigTightropeWalker · 05/01/2025 17:03

Also @Losingthetimber did it happen again at 10mg?

Losingthetimber · 05/01/2025 18:31

@BigTightropeWalker , about 3 days on first 5mg, then same again on second dose, but much much less,

I took first dose of ten yesterday at 7am, , had very mild nausea this morning, popped a ginger tablet and felt brilliant since.

BigTightropeWalker · 05/01/2025 18:45

That's brilliant @Losingthetimber, and thanks for getting back to me!

14 weeks and 62.6lbs lost. Just taken my third 10mg today.

I’m exercising and eating well - but I’ve decided once I’m at 6 stone lost (1.5stone to go) I’m really going to hit the weights again. I will always have strong and muscly arms and legs due to my sports, but my bum is going to need a serious bit of help! And it would be nice to maybe see some definition in my stomach once again. By then I’ll care less about what the scales are saying as I’ll be at a healthy weight for my height (despite what BMI says!) and will need the muscle rather than chasing being any smaller- so slower weight loss will be fine. I’m aiming for 8 stone in total but could probably go a further two as a long term goal.

TheChosenTwo · 05/01/2025 22:39

I’ve been ordering clothes since I hit my 2 stone loss, just feels so lovely being able to order and fit comfortably into size 14 clothes rather than hoping for the best that a 16 fits and sometimes having to size up to an 18 in just anything to help cover me up.
It’s so wonderful having a choice again.
I’ve not actually ordered loads to be fair, a few dresses which won’t look silly if I drop down another dress size at some point and sweatshirts which I always get baggy anyway. But also treated myself to some new loungewear and finally ditched a couple of pairs of hideous jogging bottoms which although I loved for comfort were making me feel glum every time I saw them.
So many sales on at the moment too.
i also have a few things in my wardrobe that were too snug for ages which i can finally fit into and all these things are making me so bloody happy.

terracottacountryfarms · 05/01/2025 23:05

Hi all - are there any cheaper alternatives to medexpress?

Hi all - are there any cheaper alternatives to medexpress?

My best recommendation is to go the the website monj.co.uk there is a section on the website called discounted prices. If you find the strength of pen at the top the click the arrow it will sort them cheapest first. They also have advice on how to switch providers

letshavetea · 06/01/2025 07:19

Morning everyone. I’ve enjoyed reading all your updates. Nice to hear about the new clothes.
I took my bonus dose from my first 5mg pen and have now progressed to 5mg. I feel okay so far. I was very cautiously going up due to experiencing side effects. The side effect of this slow approach is slow weight loss being compounded by hypothyroidism. I’m now frustratingly sitting on 12 stone and hope to see the 11s soon!
i plan to up the exercise for the new year with the aim of building muscle and enhancing weight loss.

letshavetea · 06/01/2025 07:44

I forgot to say that I plan to take the five doses from my new 5mg pen starting next week. I’ve just ordered a 7.5mg pen from Oushk and will slowly titrate up that if needed. It didn’t seem worth ordering another 5mg pen in case I need to go up. It’s hard to know what to do when ordering in advance. I like to always keep a spare pen in stock in addition to the one I’m using.

NearlyNewHip · 06/01/2025 07:49

Is anyone else finding it difficult to get back in to it after Christmas? I was quite good and stayed the same after my Christmas weigh in but it's sort of now my brain knows that I can push passed the supression (without ill effects) if I want to.... and I'm starting to think about food late at night and looking for snacks. Think I have 2 more 7.5mg to go and will then be going on to 10mg. Hopefully the increased dose will sort me out x

Bluenose1966 · 06/01/2025 07:57

@TheChosenTwo I have lost 2 stone as well and have been ordering some new clothes as well as rediscovering clothes I have stored away for many years, some not ever worn!!!!. Bought a lovely brand new M&S dress from the local charity shop and ordered a Hobbs coat off Vinted.

I can’t believe that some 12s now fit me as my tummy still feels really big.
Haven't got any full length mirrors at home but when I go the gym I can’t believe my reflection in the mirror, keep having sneaky looks at myself to check it’s real.😂

I have been eating high protein and doing weights as no point losing weight if it reduces muscle mass. Have been encouraging friends on it who don’t go gym to do some squats / lunges and on their knees press ups to keep their muscle. Also worth getting some cheap resistance bands.

I’m the same, ordered a few tops, all with stretch so I can wear still when I get to target. And got a few more bits coming , from the sales, today.

I also have two lovely leather jackets, , and realised both fit me properly now. Which I’m delighted about. Haven’t worn them for about 3 years, and both still current, and on sale today.

ive also decided to wear my nice stuff daily. Instead of saving for good. As I gave away 6 sacks of clothes a few weeks back and realised many of them were in near pristine condition, just became dated , went off them etc. which is just pointless.
