Morning all

Week 17 D1 (3rd week of 7.5)
SW 17'10
CW 16'2

A disappointing 1 pound loss this week, but a loss is a loss!

Suppression is beginning to fade towards the end of the week now, which resulted in a chinese takeaway Saturday (although in fairness, I didn't finish what I would not order so there is that!) was down with some of the left over Christmas Baileys!

So, given that, I am still happy with a loss, but just a reminder for me that I still need to consider what I am eating and not succumb to temptation and hope that the jab will fix it all!

Still no significant side effects, and 2 weeks of the 7.5 left, assuming I can get bonus dose out, and will move up to 10 afterwards!

Well done everyone, and keep going!

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this new supplier - Medicine Marketplace, but I am blown away with their service. I always compare prices on Monj. Com and they came out the best price. Once you fill the order in, they whattsapp you, I got a wee call for them to introduce themselves. Just had to send a little whattsapp video telling them starting and current weight. The pharmacist sends a video back confirming. I did this Saturday and my order is despatched. I felt they really did care, highly recommend

Once you take into account the online discounts and P+P (which is relatively high at £10), medical marketplace is coming out at about the same price as the other 4 below it on the Monj.co.uk.

That said, I am waiting for someone to use my Med Express code, and once that is used, I might give MM a try if they are still cheaper. Thank you

I've seen an orthopaedic consultant today about an injury and he asked about medication, when I said I'd been on mounjaro for four months he said to be careful about muscle loss! Thankfully I was well informed thanks to this board

rockingbird · 10/02/2025 15:46

Well done @YummyCookie that's incredible! @EVK we are most definitely twinning ☺️ think the 7.5mg has kicked in this afternoon.. I just don't 'fancy' anything!! I've just had a slice of toast with peanut butter to get something into the system. I fear suppression may well kick my butt this week.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 10/02/2025 16:05

@Mysticmaiden2024 very loose plan is to get back down to 2.5mg or 5mg and jab every 7-10 days just to take the edge off! 2.5mg would be better for cost wise but we will see.

@Gilly1C I looked at MM for my next pen (used pharmacy 2 u money off first order this month for 12.5) but I didn't know you had to pay £10 for the consultation? I didn't even know there was a consultation.
Do you have to pay that every time?

That's how I feel most of the time.
I just don't fancy anything in particular... look in the cupboards and just walk away most of the time.
and I think looking in the cupboard is more of a reflex!

Losingthetimber · 10/02/2025 16:12

I get that don’t fancy anything feeling too. I also realised when I stood on the scales this morning and was once again, surprised it had moved a little, that my constant surprise is I equate feeling hungry with losing weight and feeling full with gaining, weight, as that’s what’s always happened.

and it’s turned on its head, I feel full and am losing. It’s all topsy turvy. 😂

No the £10 is for next day delivery. The consultation is just a one off, they sent me a link ready to use for my next pen too

lapuf · 10/02/2025 18:02

Oh I hear that @Losingthetimber! Like an empty feeling means a scales movement!

Witchlite · 10/02/2025 18:08

I think it’s my turn to stall. I’ve been bouncing within a 0.4lbs range for 2 weeks now and am finding it very annoying/sad/frustrating in rotation.

I do know that I need to just hang in until things get moving again, but…

SW 201.6
CW 169.0

I’ve lost 16% of my bodyweight and now have a BMI of 29.9. You would think I should be grateful to have done this well, but I’m not. <stamps foot like a toddler> I thought I would be in the 11s by now.

Anyone who has had a stall of more than a week - what started things moving again?

It has all gone so very well until now. I was averaging 2lbs per week in a not quite straight downward trajectory. By no means a fast looser, but not as slow as a “normal” diet.

Tell me to stop being silly (I know I am) and suck it up.

lapuf · 10/02/2025 18:26

Sending solidarity from the other end of a plateau @Witchlite
What worked for me (I thought!) was cutting out bread/sugar/UPFs. When I looked back on my fitness pal old data it looks like 10st 0.5 ish was a set point for months!

Losingthetimber · 10/02/2025 18:28

@lapuf , yes to lose weight I need to go hungry, and so not being hungry and losing weight is surprising, good surprising!

@Witchlite , you’ve had a fabulous loss so far, and it will start moving again, what dose are you on after how long?

Witchlite · 10/02/2025 18:47

@lapuf I’ve already cut out bread and white rice. I’m eating a very veg/fruit/lean protein diet. I use Xylitol instead of sugar, as it is lower calories and (more importantly a type 2 diabetic) it doesn’t swing the blood sugar. I’m talking of a teaspoon with my morning coffee per day. My one vice. Other than a three day blip over Christmas, I’ve been eating really “clean” food and water, tea, coffee to drink.

@Losingthetimber I’m on 7.5 and have just had 4th injection. I was going to take the 5th at 7.5 (one and only 7.5 pen) then move to 10.0mg - it’s waiting in the fridge. I might see if there’s 8mg in the bonus bit, as that would move me to 10mg on Sunday. However, I truly don’t think that suppression is a problem, or what I’m eating. I’ve triple checked the calories in my food for the last two weeks and that I shouldn’t be reducing it yet. It’s all good, but the weight is just sticking. Grrrr. I started on 16th October.

Maybe I should just convince myself I’m hungry.

littleburn · 10/02/2025 18:55

Just survived doing my first golden dose with an insulin syringe! Been absolutely dreading it all day. I really don't like needles, but can cope with the pen as I don't need to look at it, just stab and press. The syringe and slightly longer needle completely freaks me out and I had to LOOK to make sure it went in properly!!! 🫣🫣🫣 But I managed it 👊Curse these sneaky manufacturers taking away our hard twist!

I suspect moving to 10 will see the scales moving for you again.

YummyCookie · 09/02/2025 23:44

I’m very close to target. I have already moved it down a couple of times but I think I’m about where I need to be. I’m half way through a 10mg pen. I have been taking 11.67mg from it. I have 2 x 10mg pens in the fridge which I’m going to use to start going back down the doses. I’ve got a 7.5mg ordered as well. I will keep getting them for as long as I can, and hopefully settle on a low dose for maintenance.

SW in May - 13st
SW on MJ in Oct - 12st
CW - 8st 10.7lb - BMI is 23ish
GW - 8st 7lb (I’m only 5ft 1in)

Amazing, well done on your loss!

JustKeepsBreathing · 11/02/2025 00:10

Feeling sorry for myself today.
Weekly weigh-in. So for the first time I’ve stayed the same weight - and I’ve got flu. So two reasons to feel rubbish today 🤧😞
I’ve upped the dose today to 6 mg (18th dose) and thinking I may open the 7.5 mg pen next week.

Total weight loss is 2 stone and 11 lbs.
SW 15 stone 1 lb
CW 12 stone 4 lbs
GW 10 stone 3 lbs

well done to everyone sticking with it. I know I just need to keep going.

EVK · 11/02/2025 06:31

@JustKeepsBreathing you're doing so well, fantastic losses so far and we definitely all hit the slow plateau at some point. Just snuggle up and look after yourself - the weight will move again. It’s part of the process. I e had several weeks of sticking at the same weight. Several times since starting this journey and I think the closer we get to goal the slower things can be maybe. It definitely seems to be the way with me but then I do sometimes have a little whoosh! It will happen - you will get there. 🩷

letshavetea · 11/02/2025 06:38

@JustKeepsBreathing sorrg you’re feeling poorly. I agree with @EVK that it’s just a little stall. You’ve done amazingly well with your loss and should be proud of yourself. I found it hard to keep going when I was stuck (a few weeks) and now I’m (slowly) starting to lose again.

PolaDeVeboise · 11/02/2025 07:40

Anyone else absolutely floored going up from 5mg to 7.5mg? I've done 1 x 2.5, 3 x 5mg, and went up to 7.5mg last week. I inject on a Sunday night, and couldn't really eat till last Saturday. This week, I feel sick, can't eat, have gone from being manageably constipated to pooing every day since last Thursday, and had diorreha last night. My stomach is killing me. I wish I could undo Sunday's jag! Any advice?

Fizzleawayyy1 · 11/02/2025 09:51

Gross alert - So I still have the 💩!! and for some reason its worse at night?! when Im trying to sleep.... 3rd night last night and I was still up and down with urgent trips! First night was the worst but last night I still got up at least 5 times which has carried on this morning.
Its not as bad in the day though? I managed at work all yesterday but come nightfall all hell breaks loose 😂

As my stomach feels off I didn't even eat that much yesterday and it was an egg salad sandwich, some fruit and some cups of tea!

Making matters worst, its the time off the month today so now I'm tired and have even more cramps 😂Working from home today thank god.

I'm due Jab 4 tomorrow of 7.5mg and I do intend to carry on with it.

Good news that I didn't realise this week... I'm finally overweight and not obese... im 29.5 BMI. Wooohoooo. Just 3 more stone to go. ha ha

Im on my 3rd 7.5 and have the toilet issue this week. Its not floored me but I am defo a bit more tired.
Keep it clean eating, take Electrolytes, rest up and if you don't feel like you can handle it, go back down to 5mg for a bit.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 11/02/2025 10:00

@JustKeepsBreathing Get well soon! hate the flu. 2st 11lbs is great, It can be disheartening when we see a STS but it will come off, some times out bodies need to adjust.

@Witchlite You may get a wooosh soon! Iv had 2 weeks when I have STS, separate weeks though.
I also feel a bit like you, I feel like I should be skinny by now 😂We have all been trying so hard and doing so well, I feel like I deserve to be at the end already and Iv still got so far to go!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Well done on the 1lb off, its all moving in the right direction.

Bluenose1966 · 11/02/2025 10:25

Not pleasant @Fizzleaawayy and @PolaDeVeboise .
If it happened to me I would reduce my dose slightly and build up more gradually. So far going up this month from 5mg to 6,25mg has been OK. Though I have had to force myself to eat to keep to my 120g daily protein.
Had another clothes trying on session yesterday and put quite a few things in charity bag. Bought yesterday a dress that I have in a 16 in a size 12 as like the style. I paid £80 for it last year and got it on Vinted for less than £10 delivered so worth a punt that will suit me still.

On my unofficial daily weigh in today I had lost a couple of pound so just hope it stays off for my official one. When I hit target I am going to start Reverse Dieting by 100 calories a day and carry on twice weekly weight sessions which should build my muscle and increase my metabolism to burn the calories.

I am 58 and determined not to put this weight back on, can see me being on some form of maintenance for life.
Quite like the thought of eventually one month on and one month off, which I believe Oushk do for 2.5mg and 5mg dose. Also like the idea as that would significantly reduce the cost.
