Just took jab number 6.. so 5 weeks in, I’ve lost 21lbs so far.

I had meals out Friday, Saturday and Sunday ,..and lost 1lb, so pleased with that. I couid easily bang on half a stone over Christmas.

I’m constipated, which is annoying, so going to ensure plenty of fluids to try to get things moving.

Stayed on 3.5 this month, it’s been working fine, not decided whether to go to 5mg next month, I’ll just have to see how I get on

Good morning lovely friends in my phone…

I can report a Christmas miracle here…after a weekend of hosting friends, booze, a dabble in the festive heroes box, cheese and some crisps I have put on 0.2 of a lb. I am 12st7.2.

What I’ve learned… I ate and drank all of the above to participate rather than having an actual craving or desire for any of them (stupid really tbh) It’s Xmas week and I don’t want much of the stuff in the cupboards. It is really very strange indeed.

Today is jab day - W8D1. Hope everyone has a fab week.

That’s really good to only put very little on after a weekend of enjoying yourself. Also, well done on recognising you ate and drank not out of greed but because you were enjoying your time with loved ones. Well done. Good luck for the rest of this week.

W7D1 - third 5mg jab done this morning (ninja style so my kids, who are too young to understand why mummy’s giving herself an injection, didn’t see)

S/W 16st 7
C/W 15st 5
G/W 11st ish

I managed to pass the two stone loss early last week, which was a huge boost, and I did briefly see one-derland on Saturday morning before a big meal out on Saturday night added on 4 pounds yesterday morning, with only 2 of those gone again today. The logical part of my brain says it’s just water weight, there’s no way I ate 14000 calories in one meal (maybe 10% of that, I didn’t go THAT crazy!!) but the scales going up wasn’t a nice feeling. In a way I wish it wasn’t Christmas this week - I could do with a few more days of eating as I have been the past 6 weeks to see how long it takes for the effects of Saturday’s meal to disappear. But I’m still going to enjoy the Christmas meal out I have today, and the food on Wednesday, in moderation. I can’t hide from food forever.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day on Wednesday, we have already given ourselves a great Christmas present by investing in our weight loss and health. Onwards and downwards!

Pumpkinforever · 23/12/2024 08:53

Week 8 officially is tomorrow but did a sneaky hop on the scales to see 13 stone 13lbs. I was last in the 13 stone category in 2015!

So that means

SW - 15 stone 12lbs / 100.7kg
CW - 13 stone 13lbs / 88.9kg
GW - 10 stone 4lbs /72.6kg
Total loss to date 1 stone 12lbs / 11.8kg

Christmas is now officially declared.

Hi All, have struggled to keep up with the posts this week as it's been a busy one. Had 2 x Christmas parties along with several work lunches out and a meal out with family last night. Weighed myself yesterday morning and had lost just under 1lb so I'm very happy with that. Fully expected to gain or at best stay the same so anything is a bonus. Looking back at my Nutracheck history I usually put on around half a stone over Xmas so any less than that is a win.

I'm still on 5mg. Took the first dose out of my 2nd 5mg pen yesterday morning. I was unsure whether to stick with 5mg or move up to 7.5 but decided to stick and we'll see how it works. Snacks are creeping in a bit more but I'm not sure if that's due to the dose or just the time of year as cupboards are groaning with the weight of goodies.

When I started my "health kick" at the beginning of this year after being told my blood pressure and cholesterol readings were way too high, I had an idea of where I wanted to be at the end of the year. It was ambitious (too ambitious to have managed without MJ) but then again my targets always were. I always seem to assume I can lose 2lbs per week every week when in reality it's more like 2-3lbs per month. Anyways, I'm 2lbs off the target I set in January - am unlikely to get there but I think it's close enough. All in all I've lost 2 and a half stone through low carb eating and now MJ. Need to lose the same again but I'll be happy just to get out of the obese BMI category and just be overweight. 🙂

For my constipation sisters, if the usual suspects don't work, it might be worth trying "the gut stuff" bars. They are snack bars mainly made with dates I think and pack over 10g of fibre in each one. I like the chocolate and nut one and have one as my snack in the evening. It seems to be enough to keep me moving and helps me hit my fibre goal most days as well.

Who knows if I'll post here again before Xmas - if I don't, have a wonderful time whatever your plans! It will be a fairly quiet one for me with only immediate family around which will be nice. Here's to us all being healthier, happier and slimmer in 2025! 💜

@Mounjaropen @ExtraOnions @WellyBootsandPuddleSuits congrats on Christmas miracles and weight loss.

Hoping everyone has a Christmas miracle this week. 🎄

TeenLifeMum · 23/12/2024 09:11

Great news @Mounjaropen

I’ve had a meal out Saturday plus alcohol and last night dished up a massive veggie lasagna without thinking only ate half. I’m up a pound today but think I’m constipated but nsv, my body feels more recognisable as my own.

Felt quite nauseated last night at bed time. I think I over ate dinner. Exhausted today due to poor sleep and I’m working (from home but actually need to achieve some things before logging off for the week at 5pm.

wk6 d1
sw - 12st 9
cw - 11st 5 or 4 (seem to be on the cusp)
gw - 10st 2 ish (mini goal is into the 10s)

Happy Christmas everyone, see you on the other side!

Just checking in with progress.

W7D1 - just had 3rd jab of 3.75mg and think I will stick with this into 3rd month.

S/W 12st 13
C/W 11st 12
G/W 10st 10

Definitely moved past the one stone loss mark now and pleased to have lost 1kg in the last week having navigated a boozy night in hospitality at the football, work Christmas do and another big lunch the day after (two Christmas meals in less than 18hrs was hard work...!

We are hosting 10 Christmas day and 15 Boxing day so it will be an epic week for food. If I can stand still that would be amazing.

Really pleased with progress as I'm nearly half way to target. Definitely thinking more and more about what I do when I get there. I feel I should want to 'train' myself to sustain without MJ but, honestly, I really would like to find a way to stay on it longer term. Without doubt it's doing more than just help me lose weight.

So inspiring to keep in touch with all your stories, with all the ups and downs (mainly downs 🙌). Congrats for your achievements and wishing you all a fabulous Christmas.

For those interested in micro dosing.. there was an article in the Saturday’s Times Magazine by the fashion editor. Obviously important to note the author was under medical supervision but it is interesting reading.

Morning all! I’m on week8. On the 5mg but only injected 5mg once then done 2.5mg, then x 2 3.75mg. I find the 3.75mg takes the edge off hunger and snacking for me without full suppression. The inability to eat much then just makes me feel sick! Sick if I don’t eat and sick forcing anything down.

I haven’t weighed for a few weeks…. Last time I did I had hit a stone loss in a month. My period is due on Thursday (although it was 4 days late last month) so decided not to weigh until I’m 5 days after my period to allow the period bloat and Xmas bloat to be gone.

my plan for week 9 is 3.75 again

PinkArt · 23/12/2024 10:58

Banking a nice mid week win, as I think with Christmas travel I might not be able to weigh in on Friday as usual.
W7D3
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:18st 5lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
TL: 1st 4lb
That's two pounds off over the weekend which, considering I struggled to eat more than a bowl of pasta all day yesterday, doesn't sound that wild.
I would bloody love to hit the 17s for my birthday but that's a week and a half away and, with Christmas to navigate, not that realistic. I might get close though.
Onwards and downwards.

I think the ethics of the doctors involved are questionable tbh. And I think prescribing WL drugs to those who don’t really need them adds to the ‘cheating’ narrative IMO. However the principal of microdosing is interesting in itself I think.

I'm terrible at keeping updated on here but just a final check in before Christmas.
I had my first injection 7 weeks ago today.
SW was 12st 9
Current weight 11st 4.
So I've lost 1st 5lb in 7 weeks, which I'm more than happy with!
I'm not injecting until after Christmas now as I want to enjoy Christmas day/boxing day and have noticed a pattern where I can tolerate food and drink, way more at the very end of the week of injecting.

Happy Christmas all!
