Morning all
I'm usually a Friday jabber but I'm going up to 3.75 today. Weighing in a day early but super chuffed with 2.2lbs off especially given I was away last weekend 😊

Week 1 3.6lbs
Week 2 1.8lbs
Week 3 2lbs
Week 4 2.2lbs

Total 9.6lbs - 19.4lbs left to go ish.

I'd hoped to be one of those stone in a month people or at least double figures but I'll take it.
I lost 10lbs pre mounjaro but it took me from Jan up and down and up and down. So I'm looking at starting new year 1.5 stone lighter than last year and I need to appreciate that.
Well done on all the fab losses this week!

Wow! 1.5 stones less than Jan 2024 is a fab result. 👏

FML, I'm so full of shit. Literally!
I'm not officially weighing until tomorrow but haven't lost anything this week despite pretty much eating the same as the weeks I've lost a couple of pounds I've only done one teeny poo since Monday though so assuming that's part of the problem. I don't feel especially bunged up, just want to see a pound come off for my pre-Christmas weigh in!
I had some dairy yesterday as it usually triggers my IBS and for once I'd like things to speed up a bit.

I had exactly this last week. No movement from Monday to Thursday. Then it also sort of got moving again. I googled pressure points and exercises to relieve constipation and that seemed to work!

@PinkArt i eat prunes and dried apricots every day to help things keep moving!

Might be worth a trip to a pharmacy to get something a bit stronger - it’s the worst feeling ever

good luck

I also wonder if this is an issue for me. Normally I am slightly prone to IBS so it's a refreshing change but my digestion has slowed down SO much.

Well happy news friends in my phone..!

I am today 12st7lb dead. 🥳

Total loss so far 18lbs at W7D4. My goal was to see 12st8 by the end of the week but my tennis lesson was early this week and I think the extra exertion helped the loss. I might move it to mid week in the new year as opposed to a Friday.

Today: 45min incline walk done. 35min Pilates class done. 💪

Busy bee! Looking at some chat forums some people are misunderstanding what WLIs do. The jabs are a support mechanism and you still need to check eating habits and exercise. I am demonic about getting in 12,500 steps in a day since starting MJ - already achieved with this morning ‘s walk.

It sounds like you’re starting weight was much lower so as a % that’s still incredible. I have lost 27lbs but still have a long long way to go

Try psyllium husk tablets (from Holland & Barrett). Drink lots of water.

or senacol tablet before you go to bed. After a couple of nights I ‘returned’ to normal and a sudden weight loss 😂

Dreamqueen · 19/12/2024 17:03

Did my 5 jab this morning. We've got visitors until Saturday. I've eaten luncch out yesterday and today. Even though I made really good choices and left over half my food, I'm absolutley stuffed and feel quite sick. I'm cooking for them tonight but can use the excuse of not really eating when i've cooked. They're proper foodies but also skinny minnies. Hosting is very difficult on MJ especially when no one knows you're on it. Sorry for the mini first world problem moan.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/12/2024 17:43

Ugh, I made the mistake of working out that 3 stone is 42lbs. 42lbs sounds like a lot more! That’s depressing. I’m down 11.4lbs so far. Only 30 to go, ffs.

I’m going to take my first 5mg before bed - usually jab on a Friday but have been invited out tomorrow for a few drinks and I’d rather give myself an extra 12 hours to adjust. Then I’ll jab again on Boxing Day, because I’m out on the 28th, so again, would like to give myself the time to adapt. I’m away overnight the week after, though, so I’ll jab on Fri 3rd when I get home. The suppression is definitely starting to wear off now - yesterday I found myself eating little bits of cheese while cooking dinner again, which I haven’t done for 4 weeks!

IHateMozzies · 19/12/2024 17:46

No weight loss for me this week, which is fine. I’ve had maccy d’s, birthday cake and a big work lunch the day before weigh in.

I don’t actually think I got much of a dose last week as hardly any came out when priming.

Had week 6 injection of 2.5 on Wednesday and it’s started to floor me. Just got no energy and feeling rubbish. Looks like I’ll be staying on 2.5 for a bit longer!

That sounds not much to me! I’ve lost 2 and have another 6 to go!!!!

Shit, sorry @PandasMum - that wasn’t very tactful of me! I was forgetting that we’re all different with individual goals. Sorry for being an arse!

1 and 7 for me 😂
We're all trotting in the same direction though!
Thanks for all the poo advice, gang. I'm wary of anything laxative-y as my usual problem is the opposite of this and I don't want to overly speed things up. Things are, literally, on the move again though this evening so if that continues hopefully I'll have a loss tomorrow.

piscofrisco · 19/12/2024 18:48

Well boy I am glad I only went up to 3.75 instead of 5. I've felt awful since jabbing....sick as a dog. Hoping it starts to ease up a bit.
On the upside my size 14 jeans are now quite large on me, and I managed to do up my target size 12 skirt-though still a way to go til it looks alright. It's Leather so not stretchy and a small size 12 anyway so I'm thrilled to be able to get into it at all-though a long way to go before it's wearable in the wild so to speak Grin But small wins so I will take them....

namechangedyetagain · 19/12/2024 19:59

Gosh this thread gets busy! My next 5mg pen arrived today. I have one dose left in my pen for Sunday. What is the best way of getting out a bonus dose? I couldn't manage it with my first 2.5mg pen. Should I be ordering an insulin needle? And if so how do you get the dose out? Sorry to be dim!

Not had a mid week weigh this week but I'm not eating that much still. When I do I feel a bit full and sick.

TeenLifeMum · 19/12/2024 20:14

I’m feeling well on the 5mg but still low energy. The thought of going to the gym is hideous. Ironically, before mj I was running 5k once a week (slowly).

Gosh no not at all I was trying to reassure you that you’re closer than it sounds - just a few months work and you’re there!

I used an insulin needle, you push it through the bit where you attach the needle, then draw out the liquid and then prime it and inject
there are videos on YouTube if you want a visual aid!

IHateMozzies · 19/12/2024 22:01

I just used a needle as well, very easy to do. Saves stressing about breaking the pen.

That sounds quite a challenge! I’m hosting this weekend and will just be making sure that everyone’s wine glasses full so they won’t notice if I’ve eaten or not 😂

I’m hosting post Christmas and plan to do food in the centre of the table so everyone focuses on dishing up their own and dishes will disguise my plate. Going for roast chicken and so gravy will make my plate look fuller than it is and veg is something I can eat well. Fajitas is the other dish I’m doing.

Also aiming for a three stone loss here. Realistically, it probably needs to be four but at 11 stone I will look significantly better. I have massive norks so anything at 10st or under and I just look like tits on a stick😂

It is a challenge but it's opened my eyes of what christmas will be like. I'll be better prepared for next week. It's easier i think to be the one doing the cooking because then my excuse will be that I can't eat straight after i cook and that I'll finish my food later.
