Who will medexpress price match?

Buttons0522 · 08/12/2024 16:08

I’ve looked at the comparison site and medexpress is not the cheapest but I’m aware they don’t price match all providers. Anyone aware of which provider I can look at that they successfully had medexpress match?

thank you!

Good news, I’ve got my £9.99 credited. Every little helps, I’ll take it!

Chemist 4 U
I did a quick check of most of the sites quoted upthread posted from their website and there were a couple slightly cheaper

I ordered a 7.5mg pen from MedExpress yesterday for £169.99 (but less a credit from my last pen of £29.99). I was then able to price match to Zava as they were £169.00 (yes, £0.99 cheaper), so I now have a credit of £5.99 on my account.

I'll decide next month which supplier to order from, but I ordered around 1 p.m. yesterday, and Royal Mail is due to deliver between 11.20 a.m. and 2.20 p.m. today. That is good service (and I had no requests for more photos or anything from MedExpress).

I guess if you’re not fussed about maintenance or lowest cost, then , staying with them makes sense. Arguably though they all pretty much dispatch fast.

Will med express not help with maintenance?

lovealongbath · 09/01/2025 14:22

At the moment Med Express do not offer a maintenance plan, but I would be surprised if they didn’t open up this option in the future, potentially the maintenance income could be more lucrative than losing the weight as I’m possibly on this for life!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/01/2025 14:37

Med express won't go past 2yrs

At the moment, yes, but this is going to be a very lucrative business for maintenance which is why I think there policy may change.

MJconfessions · 09/01/2025 18:40

The only thing I dislike about MedExpress is that it can be a lottery of who responds to your queries where the advice varies significantly depending on who picks up your email. A few months ago they told me maintenance doses are 5mg, 10mg and 15mg. When I wanted to proceed with maintenance last week, directly replying to that email, they simply offered me 5mg. I thought this was strange considering I am on 15mg. It’s a significant drop down.

I then placed an order with them for 15mg as I didn’t think going straight to 5mg was right, and it was approved and delivered today. I was half thinking they wouldn’t approve it as they mentioned the 5mg.

Just a quick update that I managed to get a small but welcome price match with med express versus Chemist 4u on a 10mg. There was £4.99 difference and they have credited me this plus £5. Every little helps!

I don’t understand if every little counts why buy from one of the most expensive? They charge 190 quid for 10mg. You can buy it for as low as 155. It’s hugely expensive from med express, a tenner off doesn’t even come close to a reasonable price?

Because I had a reasonable amount of credit to use up with medexpress which made it cheaper than £155 for me.

Sorry my bad, I thought it was clear, but I meant why price match for a tenner, as that’s just a a tenner in credit for the next oen making it180? Not why did you buy the last one, as I know credits don’t apply retrospectively and credit yoy had at that point would be used up.

I didn’t bother doing that getting a few quid credit, and just moved to a cheaper supplier, and one who also did maintenance and not a hard cut off.

its just if money is important to you, you said every little bit was welcome, then it doesn’t really make sense to buy from one of the most expensive at the higher doses and scrabble about trying to get a few quid off.

just genuinely curious, cost is important to many of us.

HappyShortFuse · 21/01/2025 12:03

My thought process is this.

Just because one supplier is more expensive this month doesn't mean that won't change in the four weeks before your next order. Also, price match offers (and the rules) can change at any time.

I claimed my £5.99 credit as you only have 7 days to claim it - just in case I want to order from there again (never say never, I like to keep options open just in case another provider doesn't accept me)

Also - if I do go elsewhere it is a message to the company that their price match wasn't good enough and they lost a customer (and if the company is smart they will realise it and adjust)

As mich as this is true, med express have been the most expensive at the higher doses for months and months now. This is not new. They do the discounts to hook you in at the low doses.

I agree keeping a credit on file in case they suddenly become competitive is a good idea, but whilst they remain one of the most expensive then if money is important then it is easier to buy from a reasonably priced supplier. If it’s not important, and it isn’t for some people, then pay the higher price for ease.

Each to their own and buyer beware. Everyone makes their own choice for their own reason. Who are you to judge where people decide to buy from and why?

If you read that as a personal attack, I apologise.

But if people are allowed to order from wherever they like and should not be asked to explain their reason or have it questioned.

You made me feel stupid for applying for a price match and for ordering from Med Express and I feel you implied that I was an idiot for not ordering from somewhere cheaper.

Can anyone tell me best price match for mounjaro 10mg which will be acceptable to med express....they declined Shemed .thankyou in advance

SilenceInside · 17/03/2025 10:40

@HazelJoker this is their price match policy from their website:

https://support.medexpress.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/20395961330717-Price-Match-Policy

The relevant part is "We only price match with items sold directly by the below retailers. Superdrug Online Doctor, Zava, Juniper, Simple Online Pharmacy, Oxford Online Pharmacy, Boots Online Doctor, Asda Online Doctor, Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor, Pharmacy2U, Voy, Chemist4U, HealthExpress, Numan". It also says "The competitor’s price must be publicly advertised and should not include any promotional offers, discounts, or voucher codes."

I found that page by searching "Med Express price match".
