From a fitness perspective you’re doing so great though JasonTindallsTan and that’s a good overall loss since the summer. Keep going lovely, all the changes you’ve made will be doing so much good for your body and the scales will catch up soon.

I agree with what another poster said about building muscle as you would have been building a lot with what you’ve been doing the last 5/6 months and that may be screwing the scales (ie body composition, fat loss but muscle gain). The good news though is that muscle is the power house for fat burning so you’re on the right track and will balance out eventually!

Also, and this is just a guess, but with all the great steps and exercise you’re doing it looks a bit like endurance training, so your body may be conditioning / adapting to the endurance type output and with the report Mounjaropen posted perhaps this can trigger protection mode to preserve cals being burnt too much or too fast.

I haven’t done HIIT but heard good things about how it can ignite metabolic boost and fat burning. Maybe consider switching up the exercise with a break from high daily steps for a while and try some short intensive bursts instead, like HIIT, spin class or interval training. Or a different kind of exercise like swimming or box fit or something, to switch it up and get out of endurance mode (protect the fat) and into burning the stores. Just an idea though, I do think what your doing is amazing and you so so deserve good losses!

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 04/12/2024 14:44

lol autocorrect, scewing the scales, not screwing!! 😂😂

Amelanchier · 04/12/2024 16:19

W4D1 and suppression has been wearing off so I am putting more effort into healthy choices and smaller portions, although I caved in this morning with a buttery bagel.

random223 · 04/12/2024 17:52

Another member of the shorties here. I have to eat less than 1000 calories a day to lose any weight at all and more than 1500 calories I gain weight. Fasting and low carbing seem to help. Exercise makes me feel better but doesn't help my calorie deficit. Soul destroying when the scales don't move!

DarkForces · 04/12/2024 18:12

My move up to 5 has been fine side effect wise which is a relief. I'm eating small portions, using salad as a side instead of potatoes and cutting out most bread, snacks and alcohol. I'm also finding delaying breakfast works well! I'm still thinking about food a lot but challenging myself to think about if I'm hungry or if a cuppa would tide me over to the next meal!

IHateMozzies · 04/12/2024 19:43

Just done the bonus dose, only got out 0.6 so a full dose. Needle was easy to use.

Went out for afternoon tea today for a catch up with my friends. I couldn’t finish it but ate way too much. Spent the time since feeling rubbish. It’s really got me thinking about Christmas. I want to enjoy my Christmas dinner and not feel rubbish. I might now stick with 2.5 and then skip a week 🤷‍♀️

Caplin · 04/12/2024 20:31

Wk4 D1 here. Lost a pretty surprising 6lbs, which sneaks me just over a stone in 3 weeks!

But I know the next week will be hard, I have 4 nights out, including my leaving do at work. Even making good choices I know it will be tough to stay within the limits. So I fully expect to stay the same or put a bit on next week.

looking forward to moving up to 5mg next week as I deffo felt it wearing off within a couple of days.

I’m on W2 and medexpress emailed about ordering my next pen now. I’m finding 2.5mg good so far and I’m not sure if I should stick with it or move to 5mg.
pros: 2.5 going well so far, don’t want to possibly react badly to 5mg at Christmas
cons: I start a new job in January so don’t want to be possibly having side effects to 5mg for the first time then. What would you do?

Week 2 I had good suppression but I definitely feel it has waned in W3.
Either wait a week and see how it’s going (you do have a “bonus dose” in your pen), or order 5 and click count if you don’t feel the need for a full dose at the time!

I’m moving up to 5, I noticed by week three it was wearing off noticeably. I haven’t had many side effects so just going to go for it.

BleachedJumper · 04/12/2024 21:17

I ordered the 5.

The price was the same but it gave me flexibility.

Kialla · 04/12/2024 21:22

I moved up to 5 because I found the suppression was wearing off by the time I took my 4th dose. Had considered staying on 2.5mg but was glad I moved up.

However, I'm considering staying on 5 for another 4 weeks as the effects are still pretty strong. Slightly scared of introducing side effects when it's DHs birthday, my birthday and then Christmas in the same 4 weeks.

Caffeinequeen91 · 04/12/2024 22:01

So if I order the 5mg I can just take 2.5 by only doing half the number of clicks? My first pen came with extra needles so this would be possible.

OliviaFlaversham · 04/12/2024 22:18

I took 5mg on Saturday, feels no different to 2.5 and I am actually far hungrier than I was the first month still! No noticeable suppression at all.

Yes, that’s absolutely an option.

The pen cost the same and if you feel well and you’re happy, why not stay on 2.5?

If you do feel that it’s not ‘working’ to the same degree, you have the flexibility of moving up to 3.75/5mg in the coming weeks.

PinkArt · 04/12/2024 22:41

NSV. One of the things that pushed me into losing weight was how quickly I get very out of breath doing very little. I've had a few at home days this week but walked round to The Big Shops earlier, about 15 mins away, and wasn't out of breath. It was a nice win itself but a great reminder too of how much every pound off will help me feel fitter.
Last time I lost quite a lot of weight I was walking loads and I'm looking forwards to doing that comfortably again.

I moved to 5 last week (Friday) and was floored with exhaustion, horrendous Sulphur burps and an intense 'full' feeling up until yesterday Morning. All waning now as it's obviously wearing off. I'm nervous about the next dose. I'm considering splitting the dose like i've seen some do on here in the week. I deffo don't think I'd move up to 5 mg and start a new job. I'd get it over with now and hope your side effects wear off by Christmas day, or wait until you have settled into the new job and take it on a Friday night to give yourself the weekend to get over the worst of it. You may not suffer any side effects at all of course and sail through?

Hi IHateMozzies I also did the bonus dose this evening doing the hard twist method (with needles on standby if it broke the pen) it was really hard to turn but my husband gave me a hand and we managed to get it to twist round in the end and the jab was fine. Decided to just go for another 2.5 dose rather than extra the remaining bit and inject with a new needle.

I am also wondering about Christmas, and which way to go dose wise.

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 05/12/2024 00:04

Jabtastic · 04/12/2024 11:58

I'm not taking my jab until tomorrow now and if I get bad side effects this week it will 100% be my last one. I'm going to do 3.75 again.

Did you jab today Jabtastic? Hope you had a better day, how are you feeling?

Hi Caffeinequeen91, I agree with Della82 and would go for a 5mg pen, then you have the option to do either: re: count clicks to stick with a lower dose, or go for the full dose when you feel ready and the timing works best for you :)

If I had to chose, I think I’d rather deal with potentially tricky symptoms over Christmas (when it would be easier to pop to the loo or deal with nausea or tiredness etc) than in a new job

✅ 20 min slow jog done
✅11000 steps

Todays meal plan will be:

Porridge
tomato soup
Pork wellington with broccoli and carrots

Mind you, it might also be the time of year - don’t think I’ve ever even tried to lose weight in December before! And in an NSV, I still haven’t had a single mince pie, whereas in previous years I was buying a box every other day and eating them two at a time, heated up in the oven with double cream on top.

I said this earlier in the week too. I’m the only one who eats mince pies in our house. I’d buy a box of the special flavours from Aldi, along with Bailey’s cream, and I’d eat the lot over a week. This year, I’ve just not bothered buying them. I haven’t fully got suppression or disinterest in food, so I’d probably still consider one, but I’m not buying the box. I’ve also got a really fancy advent calendar with lovely handmade chocolates on each window, so that’s my treat every evening and I do enjoy that.
