I love feeling a bit more confident. Haven't lost loads yet, but I have this feeling deep inside that this time I will make it. Little things like using all my lotions and potions, taking a bit more care with make up and hair are starting to creep in and don't feel like a chore anymore x

@Losingthetimber I’m enjoying the discussion about taking pride in our appearance as well as losing weight for health (which is obviously the most important thing). I do love clothes but like everyone else I’ve been buying to skim over the fat. I have things in so many sizes and can’t wait to have a good wardrobe clear out. Nowhere near that yet I’m afraid.

I’m such a slow loser but have lost 3/4 lb this week. So I’m now 12 stone 2 pounds with another 23 pounds (to interim goal) to go. So that’s 8 and 3/4 pounds lost in 11 weeks with a two week holiday. Before MJ I’d have given up! I’d realsiistically (for me) like to see an 11 on the scales for the end of December.

Took jab 12 yesterday evening. Second 3.75 mg. I may stay on 3.75 for the Christmas week as well as I don’t want side effects over Christmas!

But that’s really good process still. It doesn’t matter about speed of loss, but the loss itself, I guess and I think enjoying the journey, starting to take care of ourselves.

I feel exactly the same, I still have 5st to go but for once it feels like 'when I'm at goal weight' not 'if I ever get to goal weight'!

Yes that’s how I feel, I’ve video calls today and did my hair and put some make up on, some body lotion and my new jumper on, and I feel nice. For a change, I know it sounds silly really and I’ve another 2 stone 8 lbs to lose to target, which is a long way, but taking care along the way and feeling good about our achievements is key part of this I think,

Good morning! Another grey day 🖕

This thread moves so fast. I always read everything and think I must reply to this and that, get distracted, come back, then there’s another page! Well done to everyone and I am so proud of us all that we keep going. I’ve never been able to keep things up for 10 weeks straight before…

Anyway..

Just did my second 7.5.

Loss 1.6lbs

5’5 PCOS
SW 16st 2.7lb BMI 37.7
CW 14st 0.7lb BMI 32.7
Total loss 2st 2lb

I did my first 7.5 last week and it did kick my arse for two days. Woke up with a headache that just stayed there all day and I was so so SO tired and extremely full up. Hopefully that was just my body getting used to the new dose. If it continues then Christmas will be fun 😳

I’ve just eaten some prunes as I’m still doing rabbit pellets.

@Losingthetimber Thank you for reminding me that I need to sort my wardrobe out. I have way too much stuff.

Vegemite123 · 16/12/2024 10:03

Well done you guys on your clothes successes!

I'm struggling a bit with symptoms today, and would love some tips. Dry throat - what IS that about? No idea why! Nausea - but my period just started, so maybe that's something to do with it. And constipation :( I read somewhere about some drink that helps, with lemon in it or something. Does anyone have some low calorie ideas?

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 16/12/2024 10:23

Morning all

Checking in on weigh/jab day

W9D1
2nd week of 7.5 - no significant side effects to report. Suppression is still dying off towards the end of the week.

SW 17'10
CW 16'9

A stone gone which I am happy with, but will always wish it had been a quicker loss!!

Well done on losses everyone!

rockingbird · 16/12/2024 10:50

Good morning all, woke up several times in the night with a terrible thirst 😩 but have good food suppression back again so the 3.75mg has kicked in clearly. A roast chicken dinner yesterday afternoon was a struggle but I had a good go. Back on the boiled eggs for lunch today - I'm actually batch boiling them these day lol.

Bluenose1966 · 16/12/2024 12:05

I eat a lot of eggs @rockingbird .

Remember my Mil saying her mum used to hardboil seven eggs at start of week and have one a day😂
I eat 3 a day normally mashed up with some mayo and pepper and one of my current favourite lunches.

I just had 2 eggs too. Firm diet fav!

I have a day off work, I should be wrapping Xmas presents🫣 but I’m actually sat watching a film on Netflix 😬😂

Amazing! Well done on your first stone off 👏

Fizzleawayy · 16/12/2024 15:38

went out for a meal last night.

I had steak and mushrooms and gave all my chips away but for some reason I feel like Iv been ‘naughty’ and over eaten. I had a couple of bites of my husband pudding and didn’t have one of my own.

Today Iv had scrambled egg and chicken for lunch and 5 mini Reese’s cups.

. Steak and mushrooms is a great meal. I make similar here every week or two, high protein, low fat, low carb. Your weight loss is also fabulous, so there is no issue with a couple of bites of pudding, as we are supposed to be retraining our eating habits and feeling deprived should have no part of that.

we need to enjoy the journey as well, it would be bloody miserable otherwise.

TheChosenTwo · 16/12/2024 17:02

NSV, tried on a dress in a ‘too small size’ today and it fits like a dream. Haven’t been able to fit into size 14 clothes in years. In 3lbs time I’ll be down 2 whole stone. This had never felt possible before. Still probably another 2 or 3 to lose before I’m at a sensible weight for myself but I don’t really have a target in mind, I just want to be able to walk into shops and buy what I like and not just way makes me look the least bad!

rockingbird · 16/12/2024 17:59

@Fizzleawayy steak is good, plenty of protein! That's my go to when I don't fancy anything else. I make a swede mash to go with it avoiding the chips altogether! We have lamb mince tacos this evening, I pack it out with veg to help me get some roughage in 🤣

What's for dinner tonight people? I'm always looking for inspiration!

We had HelloFresh chicken sambal, bloody lovely!

I'm 24 hours post jab and don't have much suppression so wondering about a top up 1.25 on weds or Thurs, will see if any better tomorrow.

Losingthetimber · 16/12/2024 18:12

chicken shawarma here, it’s delicious, can really recommend. With mixed veg , which I’m oddly into at the moment, and also a baked potato for my husband.

i just shoved it in the oven, and he’s come down and commented we have so many leftovers now, lots of little bowls in the fridge, which is true to be fair. But I don’t really want to eat left overs every other day. I don’t eat that much as it is. I want to enjoy my dinner, 😂

I do do nights where it’s just left overs, but it’s when I’m feeling really lazy and it’s never great to be honest,

Chicken korma 😋

is anyone else struggling to drink alcohol? I’m not a big drinker at any time, but since MJ any desire for a glass of wine seems to have vanished. Last week I really fancied a baileys, but I couldn’t finish it. It made me feel a bit sick. And I went for a meal last weekend and a) wasn’t really enjoying the wine and b) then the next day had the mother of all hangovers from maybe 2 glasses of wine! Like I say, I’m not a big drinker, but I can usually enjoy a couple of glasses of wine when I’m out.

Hello October people. I haven't been around for a while. I am still plodding along and have lost 15lb so far.

I didn't go up to 7.5 this month but stayed on 5 as it seems to be suiting me. Has anyone else just stayed on 5?

I've moved to a 5mg pen but not gone above 3.75 yet, will do after Christmas as suppression wearing off

NearlyNewHip · 16/12/2024 19:12

Dinner here is salmon, a few baby potatoes and a veg steam bag.
I'm moving up from 5 to 7.5mg. To be honest 5 hasn't done much for me at all. Had the bonus dose on Saturday morning so next week will be my first 7.5 dose x

Vegemite123 · 16/12/2024 19:33

I’ve made pasta sauce out of pork mince, fennel, a bit of bacon and passata. Simple, but there’s leftovers for the freezer. With some pasta and Parmesan, it’s 466 calories.

Me too - I’m not sure about going any higher as I’m losing weight slowly/steadily, and feel enough suppression to stick to my calories, and don’t want any more side effects.
