@Witchlite Slow and steady wins the race! Great loss, happy for you.

Yes, Iโ€™m also using Shotsy. I love tracking it!

Tohaveandtohold · 25/11/2024 15:34

Sorry to everyone feeling rough on 5mg. I also took my second 5mg on Saturday night and I woke up yesterday with the sulphur burps. Constipated as well but as soon as I went (sorry TMI), the burp has stopped. I woke up today with no side effects so powering through.
I had 2 people yesterday telling me that Iโ€™m looking trimmer, the weight loss is getting noticeable and Iโ€™m here for it. Only thing is the weight is falling off my hips, chest, face and not my belly so Iโ€™ve been wearing a waist trainer and the belly does not look so disproportionate. Now I need to catch up on the thread.

ArtfullyCrumpled · 25/11/2024 15:49

@FuckOffGerms and @Missreginafalange I wonder if it's because of too much (hardly any) rich food at the weekend. I've been pretty regular up to now although constipated and something caused a bum explosion last night and this morning. It might be that you can get away with fatty, sugary things and wine on occasion with the lower dose but on 5mg the MJ is just saying "no fucking way are you having that again". I had 10 Maltesers last night - never again.

My loss is slow but steady. Iโ€™ve decided to move down a bit to 3.75 for the next few doses. I moved up to 5mg, but struggling a bit. Also, I can see how the dose is building up in my system and want to tamper it down. 3.75 will give me a range of between 2.75 and 6.00 because of the build up - Shotsy shows it well and Iโ€™m very much struggling on the days itโ€™s over 6 a.t.m.

SW 201.6lbs
CW 185.2lbs
loss 16.4lbs
W7D1

Has anyone else tracked the amount of drug in their system? Itโ€™s very interesting.

Yes I set up Shotsy just last night actually as 5mg is still not doing much so was interested to see how it looked on there.

Hi all - just to let you know I sent the price comparison data to ME, and got DOUBLE the difference credit to my account. I'm sticking to 5mg this time.

Thatโ€™s good! How much did it work out saved with double the difference?

Iโ€™ve just read this somewhere else. Really interesting as they only refunded me the difference both times I have done it. Iโ€™ve emailed them!

FuckOffGerms · 25/11/2024 18:27

My insides finally stopped falling out at lunch time. I managed a nap and a shower, and hopefully after a good nights sleep Iโ€™ll feel better in the morning.

I havenโ€™t eaten anything though, I might brave toast later on.

How is everyone else feeling?

I've just seen this online. I think cheapest I saw it elsewhere, on monj.co.uk, was about ยฃ30 difference. Will be ordering later this week so will report back.

EDIT - just checked monj.co.uk. Medexpress has a code for returning customers by the looks of it, bringing it in at ยฃ4 dearer than the lowest price competitor. My 7.5mg will be ยฃ130 by the look of it!

I haven't been to the toilet since last Thursday, and thats despite plenty of fruit and nuts. We even had a takeaway pizza Saturday evening and greasy food usually goes through me on mounjaro.

Also been feeling absolutely freezing, and I am usually in shorts all through the winter.

But these are the only side effects I am feeling.

I got my price match a good few weeks ago - before the double price match promise. After seeing about the new double promise on here I thought I'll just email them to say you only priced matched, not doubled it. They responded same day and have added the same credit again to my account ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Fizzleaway1 · 25/11/2024 19:36

I use Shotsy. Love the app for seeing how much MJ is in your system.

Had a work event today and had a 3 course meal. I had a few spoonfuls of soup, ate my veg and turkey and left the potatoes on my main and skipped my pudding.

I had that at 12.30 and itโ€™s the only thing Iv had today. I have just ordered some room service and tried to go for the healthiest things I could find so Iv got a steak and a side salad.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 25/11/2024 20:16

Argh! I ordered my 7.5 from med express last week and forgot to price match, it was delivered today. Also didnโ€™t realise that they now do codes for returning customers, thatโ€™ll teach me not to check!

UpUpUpU · 25/11/2024 20:16

The coldness is ridiculous. The only way I can warm up is a very hot bath. My partner laughed and said welcome to the world of the less well insulated ๐Ÿ˜‚

You can price match up to 14 days after purchase.

Timeframe: The price match claim must be made within 14 days of your purchase from MedExpress.co.uk.

I agree! Iโ€™m freezing all the time. Iโ€™m wearing fluffy socks 24/7

Has anyone gone back down to 2.5 after starting 5? Im on my second 5 dose and I'm really hating it as I feel so unwell. I'd like to back down to 2.5 over the Christmas period then think about going up again after that.

Gilly1C · 25/11/2024 21:19

Hey all, this is not a showing off post or anything, but an observation. I am one of those people who does not tolerate anything, a right softie lol, I got motion sickness on a cable car, was prescribed cocodamol once and my husband said I was drooling at the mouth and I had to go to bed for the day you get the type of person yeah? However, apart from a slight headache starting 5mg (I also bought anti sickness from the provider as I knew I would be) and feeling cold constantly, I have not had any other effects. I am not a fast loser, it's been 18lb in 8 weeks, but I find it odd. I suppose I am just waiting for it all at some point but wanted to know really if anyone else experienced this

recklessgran · 25/11/2024 21:23

@ApolloandDaphne I think it's fine to go down. I've had 1.25mgs a couple of times because I couldn't cope with the side effects of 2.5mgs. I think that for me I'm only going to take the minimum dose I need to stop the food noise - I'm not even worried about suppression as I can deal with less of that but need to feel well enough to function in life. As long as I keep losing, even if it's only a pound or two a week I'm staying on the lowest possible dose to achieve that.

comewhinewith · 25/11/2024 22:54

I've almost completed week 10, lost zero weight and blood sugar levels unchanged.

My GP has just prescribed me 7.5, hopefully that may work.

Fingers crossed for you on the next dose xx Would your GP consider prescribing an alternative or do they want to see if the higher dose works for you?

WafflingDreamer · 26/11/2024 06:59

Jab 8 done yesterday so far 3x2.5mg and 5x3.75mg, decided to stick with 3.75mg this week despite a bit of food noise creeping back in. I herniated a disc in my spine this week so really pleased to still have a loss as I've had to take really strong pain killers and not been moving as much

Weigh in number 7
SW 21st 9lb
CW 20st 3lb
GW 12st 6lb
2lbs off this week
losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2
So a total of 1st 6lbs (20lbs)
I'm really hoping to be 2st down by Christmas - 8lb in 4 weeks so hopefully achievable!

MissSmith80 · 26/11/2024 07:20

SW - 85 kgs
CW - 75.6 kgs
This week - 1.7 kgs off
Christmas goal was 77 kgs ๐ŸŽ‰
Goal weight - 65 kgs

Can't believe it, despite 2 meals out, I lost more than 3.5 lbs. I was sure I needed to go up to 5mg (did 3.75 for my 6th dose), now not so sure - maybe I should stick with 3.75 as it's worked for me this week.

I'll have a think between now and when I jab. I have had more food noise this week including planning meals earlier in the day so I think I've just answered my own question.

Thanks! No alternatives left to try so fingers crossed 7.5 helps
