I’ve just taken my 16th jab. I didn’t notice the weight loss in the mirror for about 3 months. I plateaued for 3 weeks and didn’t lose anything but during that period it was like my body caught up with the weight loss and my clothes were really big.

I’ve been lucky to not suffer with diarrhoea but I’ve had constipation through, it does seem to be finally settling down now.

I did a month on 2.5 and have been on 5mg since.

Are anyone suffering from violent diarrhea on mounjara .I've been on it 6months and amazingly lost 5 stone .but the diarrhea is violent all the time .and those disgusting egg burps 🤔

I suffer similar symptoms- but only when I've over indulged, and especially after drinking any alcohol sadly

Sadly I’m 330 pounds
scared now and have decided to take the plunge and start
please tell me I’ll be ok and it will be worth it

SilenceInside · 15/01/2026 07:53

@recruitretain don't be scared. There are millions of people in the UK and probably hundreds of millions of people around the world taking these medications. They are as safe as any other prescription medication. Yes, sometimes people get side effects but usually they are mild and manageable.

I was 306 pounds when I started, I am now about 158 pounds. It has definitely been worth it.

Wow thank you that’s given me so much heart
I started walking last night
out in the dark so no one sees me
I’m so mentally committed now

I have one question is excess skin an issue and how long did you loss take ?

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement

SilenceInside · 15/01/2026 08:38

@recruitretain so, excess skin is not a huge issue for me personally. I have some crepey skin at the top of my thighs, on the inner side. Not ideal, but I can deal with that when compared to how I looked at 22 stone. I have a wobbly tummy, but I have had two pregnancies with large babies, two c sections and I am heading towards 50, so that was never going to be flat! It isn't really an overhang any more, so it is shrinking back slowly. I hope it will continue to improve over time. I also have loose skin under my arms, but again nothing terrible, and I don't get my arms out anyway so it makes no real difference to me. So, yes I have some loose skin, but it doesn't bother me and doesn't cause me any issues in day to day life. Plus I look absolutely fine in clothes.

How your skin copes depends really on your age and genetics, so it will be what it will be.

It's taken me 18 months so far, and I am still a little into the overweight category so I will be continuing until I am solidly into the healthy weight range. Come and join us over on the 10 stone or more to lose thread if you like. We were/are all in a similar starting position, with a long journey ahead of us.

It will be totally worth it! You’ll get your health back. I was scared too and to be honest I’m delighted I took the plunge.

I had been reading these boards for about a year and needing to loose weight for about 10yrs!

The thing that swayed me was that I met up with a friend who had lost 4 stone and asked her what she’d done. She told me she’d taken WLIs. She also told me that her parents are doctors and both said it was perfectly safe. She looked so happy and that just reassured me.

I’m down 2st since october 🎉

Go for it! You can just try one pen and see how you get on 🤷🏻‍♀️
